The house is beautiful and the location is amazing. However, I
would be very cautious about staying here. At first the refrigerator didn't work. Then we couldn't connect to wifi. Since the cell signal isn't great, and I needed to use my tablet for a side hustle, this was quite inconvenient. The next morning the coffee maker didn't work. That afternoon my hair dryer from home wouldn't work. At first, John, the operations manager was super helpful. He ended up getting a new refrigerator and coffee maker,
neither of which worked . Finally after having the wifi tech and an electrician in, they said it was a problem with the power company. That was Tuesday. On Wednesday I asked for an update, and was ghosted from then on. He didn't even reply when I asked if he could send me check out procedures since we didn't have wifi and couldn't access the website. The refrigerator finally started working on Thursday.
John also said we would receive a partical reimbursement for the amenities lost, but it has been 10 days, and we haven't seen anything.
Between the electricity being so poor, all of the people coming in and out, and constantly having to run to the store to get ice to keep things cold, it was way too much of a hassle for the price.

Excellent house in fabulous location with outstanding furniture and supplies. Only problem was the thermostat kept turning the AC off in the middle of the night, on some automatic schedule we could not change. Plenty of fans in the house, so would go there again in a heartbeat.

Great traditional beach house with great views
A great traditional beach house with wonderful views and on a private beach.
6.0 / 10.0
Great location with short walk to a private beach. House is somewhat outdated but mostly functional, biggest detractions were bad smell in the bedding, and that most of the locks on the doors were broken and need to be replaced.

Right on the beach. Beautiful views and extremely peaceful.

Older home but kept up nicely. Very clean. Lots of towels. Great wrap around porch with a gate to keep your 4 legged family members safe. Amazing view of the ocean, and sliding glass doors out of every bedroom. Kitchenware a bit dated but functional-ish. Bring all spices, and extras you need (ex, tinfoil) to cook. Only complaint is the house is very humid. Even with air set at 68, humidity would not go below 83%. Heavy rains on day 1/2, did not help. If you prefer humid, you will sleep well!

There are beautiful ocean views from every bedroom in the house. Great secluded beach front location. Our 4 year old loved racing our dog/running laps around the house on the wrap around porch; his best time was 17 seconds. We loved all of the board games as well. Quick and easy walk to the private beach!

My wife and I needed a weekend getaway, was last minute, never thought I world find anything available. Not only did we find the “mos siesta” available but we got a great deal on the property. Every room had double sliding glass doors so we always had a great view. My only regret was that we didn’t have more time to extend our stay.

Location was perfect, views were outstanding and we enjoyed both sunrises and sunsets from the deck at this time of year. The living area was spacious and had huge windows to enjoy the views. Only 1 bath could be a challenge for a larger group. Our arthritic knees were challenged by the low toilet and that would be our only drawback to renting this home again.
We decided on a last minute trip and Vacasa was so easy to work with. They allowed us to book the same day we were to arrive! Though we never spoke with a live person, we used chat and they texted info in a timely manner.

Arrived to be greated by thirty bags of garbage overflowing in the car port.
Manager said i should haul it out to the street in a couple of days. Lovely
The numerous broken small maintenance issues were indicative of a poor management company letting a prime property deteriate at the expense of there guests. Kicker was the oven was broken and obviously had been for a long period. The stove top burner knobs were mismatched and obviously had had some kind of problems withh their replacement. The stove top would not heat properly and one didnt work at all. I reported this and asked why this stove did not work and had not been replaced. I got NO answer. This some west coast company with no local management and the contacts was directly with some ai computor. We rented a property where you couldn't even make a frozen pizza. Blids were brken. Front door lock had been altered to not lock. ( so managers didn't have to troble themselves with a needy guest. You dont need a door code here folks. Just walk in the front doors). The island has numerous local comanie to rent properties. Use them

The stay was great house was good plenty of room there were a few problems when we arrived we called they sent people out to fix most all problems the only thing that was not addressed properly was the ac unit it worked but not great for the price it should have worked a lot better but overall my grandkids had a great time

This was our third summer to stay in this home and we love the location. Each year the home seems to deteriorate more. Live wires exposed on deck and bed room, poor lighting on stairs (there used to be great lightning in this area), surface mildew around AC vents, screw heads backing out on board walk and stairway/shower, grounds around the home could be maintained better, and needs durable furniture update. The most frustrating issue about the home is the inefficient AC unit. For the second year was called in a repair request because the thermostat would never read below 80. The staff was very responsive and did everything in their power to help make the house more comfortable, but it seems the unit needs updating. The bedrooms on the opposite side of the AC unit were in the 80s. One of the great features is the wrap around porch. It is wonderful for pets and small children. We loved the outside eating area and used it most nights.

Certain major fittings and daily-use items were not functioning or usable, or non-existsnt, some were hazardous and very dirty, unsanitary, house is infested with ants.
Property yard was very littered with large anouts of trash, the only prpoerty on our street that wad so.
We have pictures.
Am available to discuss (404) 861-0194.

Property was clean on checkin. Then sugar ants appeared on kitchen counters. Also checkin was not until 4 with check out at 10. Don’t feel we got to enjoy property for what we paid for it. Aside from this two items property was and beach were nice and relaxing.

This home has unobstructed views of the beautiful ocean, an easy walk to the water, and a great porch to enjoy from coffee time to dinner time! If you enjoy staying outside, this place is for you. The house has a great set up, but lacks in comfort. When we arrived the beds, couches and floors were full of sand. The washing machine had mold and one of the bedrooms also had mold. We immediately let Vacasa know. The next day, they offered to send someone out to clean. But, since we had to sleep in the beds that night, waiting until the next day wasn’t an option. Could be such a wonderful place with a little maintenance and TLC.
6.0 / 10.0
The house has a perfect ocean view and direct access. There are 4 bedrooms that are adequate ( the beds are ok but not the softest) but have nowhere to sit but on the beds. The 2 bathrooms are impossibly small. Really only one person would be able to stand in the bathroom, maybe a second if they were on the toilet. One has a nice newer ( 1990ish) shower with a hand shower which was great for rinsing off our dog but the vanities have almost no room to place toiletries. The floor surfaces are all hard which at the beach is a good thing. The 3 stars is because it is extremely over priced and although everything was clean in the home, the home feels very dated and the furnishings seem old. The kitchen was very old and outdated. The kitchen dishes and glassware were mismatched. There was salt and pepper, 3 dishwasher tablets, dish soap and 3 washing machine pods. There was nothing else...no coffee or coffee filters. Nothing else. The refrigerator was all wet inside. my husband thought maybe it was on a defrost cycle or the seal wasn't complete but it never improved. Would I stay again? Probably, if the price was substantially less. Also, its certainly no reflection on the house but just know the closet "real" grocery store is off the island about 20 min. away.

RIGHT ON THE BEACH!
We loved staying at MOS Siesta. The beach is your front yard! Step off the porch and into the sand! The location is fantastic...could not be better. The kitchen and bathrooms could use some updates, but the place had everything that we needed for our stay. Thank you for a great time!

Fall break 2021
We had an amazing time at our beach house at Dauphin Island,AL. The locks
On the doors were tricky and some did not work well and the ice maker in the fridge did not work but everything else was great!! VERY clean which is really important to us, mooore than enough towels which was so nice and even small conveniences like automatic lighting on the stairs and deck were simple but wonderful touches!! Showers had nice fixtures so showers were relaxing and welcome after all day on the beach! So much deck space and sleeping space we were so comfortable!! We were steps from the beach but had small dunes and plants which were gorgeous. Cannot brag on the house enough or the amazing views of sunset and just the ocean all around!!!

Perfect Getaway
This home was right on the beach which made it so easy getting 4 kids to and from the beach. Perfect outdoor set up for hanging out on the deck and enjoying the ocean views. Great experience with property manager. We will be back!

Can’t beat the location
We were three adults and 6 kids, aged 3 to 10, that stayed 4 nights. Location was amazing, can’t beat being right on the water, amazing views. We saw dolphins in the water a few times from the patio, jet skis, sail boats, lots of helicopters. The kids enjoyed playing on the wrap around porch. Outdoor shower was a life saver. Negatives/improvements needed/suggestions: needs updating in bathrooms and kitchen, the sink in our bathroom did not drain properly, shower curtain had mildew on it, a lot of the outlets did not work; only two rolls of paper towels, two garbage bags and 4 rolls of toilet paper were provided - 9 people, 6 of those being kids, we blew throw all those in a day and a half; no spices were in the kitchen for general use - would be nice to at least have salt and pepper; blinds were broken in the 5 bed bunk room; a few of the sliding doors were broken or hard to open; lamps in all bedrooms and living room and rugs in all rooms would have made it more cozy. But overall it’s a great place and we would return!

Summer house on the beach
The place is right on the gulf beach. It has a large covered porch all the way around the house. The rooms are large and it has all the amenities you could want. Great place for a large family.

Amazing location!
We were a party of 11 adults who all whole heartedly enjoyed our stay here. Everyone had a comfortable sleeping arrangement and the house had everything we needed for our stay. The covered wrap around porch with outdoor seating was amazing and we spent most of our meals sitting outside watching and listening to the ocean. Being able to walk directly to the beach from the house was incredible! We felt like it was our own little slice of heaven. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and private beach vacation! Hopefully one day we will come back!

A little hidden secret
In these crazy times of Covid we wanted to get away for spring break, but still feel safe. We chose Dauphin Island as our "home away from Home", and we could not have been happier. Our house was right on the beach, and it wasn't crowded. The house was well cleaned, and had all the amenities we needed to cook many meals at home. Vacasa did a great job with follow up emails, and directions to the house, and what to do once we arrived... We will definitely use Vacasa for future rentals. We highly recommend this Island, and house!

Great house
We stayed for a week during kids spring break having never been to Dauphin Island before. House was perfect. Can see the kids swimming in the ocean from the porch. Water was freezing in March but the kids wore wet suits and swam all day. We brought bikes and it’s a short ride to the few shops and restaurants on the island. Surprised by how few other visitors/restaurant patrons wore masks. We didn’t sit down to eat anywhere. Would be incredibly convenient to have a service deliver groceries bc it’s quite a trek off the island to a store, but I couldn’t find one and property manager didn’t know of one. We cooked a lot and the kitchen is pretty well stocked for a vrbo.
Only hiccup was the clearly very new oven wouldn’t turn on our first night there. My husband crawled around and found the plug and just unplugged and replugged it in and it worked the rest of the week.

Loved house location
Loved the house and location, it's just steps away from beach and no obstructed view! Living room had plenty of seating and enough for all four adults to recline back in. TV was a nice size and had board games, video game and movies. Great wrap around porch which was gated and great for the our granddaughter and pup. With a nice gas grill to cook on. Parking was nice and shaded up under the house. We definitely loved our stay!! The only complaints would be: the high rental price, it's very expensive, the queen and king beds weren't too comfortable, probably needs to be replaced, the kitchen is on the small size with limited counter space and could use some larger skillets, and the bathrooms are small. Even with those minor issues we would definitely recommend this house and location!!
