We met with family for the Duke Mayo classic as we have students at both NCSTATE and University of TN. The house layout was open and comfortable with so much space and seating

Book It!!!
You will not be disappointed. We had a great time at LakeLyn’s.
Pictures are exactly as described. We had 10 ppl in our group and we had plenty of room.
The dock area is also perfect. We had a place to store our boat and 2 jet ski’s.
The house has plenty of activities too. Unfortunately it was so hot this week we were unable to do many outdoor activities such as corn hole, volley ball etc. but all items were there if you wanted to use.
We had a great time and would book again.

Had a great stay with girlfriends from college. House was immaculate and gorgeous lake views. The host left us wine and items to make smores!

All in all we had a great time with out of town friends. The main road was very quiet with so little traffic. Quiet and peaceful place. We had one issue of a smoke alarm chirping from low battery. Notified the host and within the hour someone came and replaced the battery. We enjoyed the house very much! We had 20 people over for dinner. Enough tables and chairs. Thanks to all that made this a great gathering for our girl’s first birthday.

Three generations stayed here with 5 kids under 5 and we all had a blast! Even great grandma who lives local came by to visit and enjoyed her stay. We hung by the beach, took out the kayaks with ease, even my 3 year old. The property owners helped us coordinate a boat rental with the capt. That picked us up right at the dock after breakfast. We enjoyed s'mores by the fire and the whole family hung out on the outdoor living room watching an evening passing thunderstorm. Super close to the airport and very close to grocery shopping restaurants and outlets. We hope to come back again!

Overall, this property was great for four couples and seven children. With the use of the bunk room, each family had their own space/bedroom and only one shared bathroom so it was great.
The kitchen was the best kitchen we have had in regard to space. There was a great supply of children's dishes, silverware and cups also. Plenty of plates/silverware etc. We cooked all meals in for the week for 15 people and it was necessary to bring/purchase large serving bowls, crock pot, larger serving spoons, and a larger skillet. The cookware and serving pieces would be fine for smaller groups or groups that did not prepare large meals.
There were two tables that could accommodate all of us to sit together inside or out. We loved that.
The outside areas, the kayaks, the float rafts were used constantly along with the sandy beach. The lake is typical lake water with a mushy and interesting feeling "floor". It took a bit for the kids to get used to that type of water but it was still great for kayaking or floating.
The US Whitewater Center was a great day trip for all children over 8 years old.
Most hiking and activities are a drive so we were thankful the kids liked the beach and kayaking etc.
McDowell Nature Preserve was great for every age. Great activities and definitely worth the trip if you are looking for a hiking type of activity.
The property managers and maintenance person were very responsive to any concerns that we had. Quick replies and solutions.

The week began as a work retreat for my staff. The home is very well appointed for a small group of adults, lending lots of common space to come together for discussions yet separate rooms for privacy. When work was over my family joined us. There are plenty of activities for all to enjoy. The lake, fire pit, swings, outdoor sitting, games, puzzles, pool, and so on. The kitchen was well appointed. Lots of open areas. Bathrooms were nice, beds were comfortable, and seating plenty. They even had a s’more kit awaiting us upon arrival. Lights switches were labeled for assistance. Fire pit had the starter fire ready for us. Within 2 miles of the home is a grocery store, pharmacy and many restaurants. You wouldn’t know that though because it was so quietly nestled in along the lake. Would love to return in warmer weather to enjoy the lake. The lake front is amazing. While it is in a cove, it is deep water so there is an embankment that contains the water therefore there isn’t a worry that the cove may be low with no water access. There were steps from the lake into a nice sandy area where kids could play. The dock had an upstairs with picnic table and lounge chair. The owners really did think of everything. The one thing I liked that ranked up high was the check out instructions literally said, leave the bed as if you rolled out of it. Drop the towels on the bathroom floor, take out trash and roll on. All rentals charge cleaning fees and most rentals make you do all the work. Love!

The house is beautiful and the beds and linens are very soft! The location is great and is easy to get to. It had plenty of space for our kids 3 and under and was child friendly. The kids love the beach area and dock. We fished a little while enjoying the fire! We hope to be back!

This place is absolutely gorgeous!!! The rooms the decor, everything to make your stay as if it was your own house. We came down for our daughter’s wedding and it was the perfect opportunity to also do a small family getaway from all the wedding planning. Unfortunately the rain didn’t allow us to enjoy the fun things this property offers outside but we enjoyed shooting pool and having the breath taking view of the lake! So peaceful and serene. We have already discussed planning on staying there again on our next visit. Thank you Lakelyne team!!

The Windy Gap home is beautiful- spacious and clean. So many areas to sit and look at the lake. The upper deck is wonderful. There is so much room in the yard for the kids and the dog to run. I would suggest wearing shoes if you get into the water from the beach- it is rather rocky off of the steps. They water is wonderful for floating. The dishwasher could use some work - but otherwise the kitche was great. Everyone enjoyed the week, and we hope to return.

The house was very pretty and clean. It was lacking in some utensils but a very enjoyable house. The dock was quite dirty, to the point that it just was not comfortable sitting out there. Boat Rentals USA that is affiliated with the house(same owners) sucked. We rented a boat and made the reservation in March. We got there and they brought us a 30 year old or so boat that was gross. Apparently the boat we reserved was in the shop. After two days they brought us the original boat. This 18 year old boat was also gross(mildew all over the seats, dirty and the captains chair was broken, barely attached). They dropped the boat off with less that 1/4 of a tank of gas, then argued that it was 1/2 full and that they never bring the boat with a full tank cause gas is too expensive. I have complained to the boat rental company as well as the owner of the house, no response. Rent the house skip the boat!

The house was in great shape, clean, and well appointed. The kayaks and fishing gear were a hit with the kids, and we had everything we needed. It’s very close to shopping, and not far from Uptown

Father's 80th Birthday
Great house in a quiet part of Lake Wylie. The pictures do not do this house justice, it is much better in person! Only issue we had was water pressure, but everything else was better than perfect! Really enjoyed the kayaks, fishing equipment, volleyball court, hot tub and pool table provided by the house.

Beautiful Atmosphere
I stayed at the lakehouse with my family for Christmas and I couldn't have asked for a better place. Everything was beautiful, clean, spacious and everything else we wanted to comfortable. Shopping was literally 5-10 minutes away. The property manager was great with answering all of my questions and everything was what they say it was. I definitely recommend and I will also be going back in the summer to utilize the lake.

Excellent house for family gathering
Overall excellent time. Large very clean and well equipped with a very large kitchen. Great yard and several nice hikes off the property as well as the lake to kayak on. Great with young kids. Host was an extreme pleasure to work with and quickly addressed any issues we had. Only suggestion would be to have a fire pit near the lake
