Location was excellent for the old town.
The inner courtyard was a peaceful place to relax and have a drink or snack away from the crowds.
Breakfast was excellent.
The room and furnishings were a little bit dated.

I liked that it was unique and not like (cookie cutter) every other hotel.

The location was fantastic and parking was great. The room was large and clean. The breakfast was good.
A lot of step ups or step downs. Not for someone with mobility issues. The staff left at 7pm, then the guests are left at the hotel. That felt very uncomfortable.

The lady doing the late arrivals was extremely nice...very jolly...very engaging. If you foreign guests coming though then posting advice only German might add to delays. Thankfully there's always some random passer-by who wants to help out.
Breakfast was a bit Spartan really...the choice available wasn't,from a UK perspective, very wide. Some of the hot food wasn't that well cooked or presented.

The staff was particularly friendly and helpful. The building is very beautiful and the location is really central, which was perfect for what we had to do. The room was vast. Good pumpernickel bread for breakfast, lots of cheese and salami if you like a salty breakfast. Quality tea as well.
The white curtains do not stop the sunlight effectively so you can't really continue sleeping after 5:30 am in June. If you are allergic to feathers you will need to ask for the pillows and blankets to be changed (it is the second time we have experienced this in Germany). One night our neighbors decided to get noisy past midnight but as we knew there was no one at the reception desk and no phone in the room to call them, we resorted to earplugs. The other two nights were peaceful, though.

Monday morning is impossible to find a taxi to reach the train station from that location…It’s better to walk…

Our stay was (nearly) perfect. Our room was on the ground floor of a historical building in the middle of the old town, but just around the corner from the main street so it was still quiet. The room had a beautiful vaulted ceiling, spacious bathroom with marble floors and a bathtub. The building, amenities, breakfast, and location were great and we're looking forward to our next visit.
Our room the same temperature as outside when we arrived and even heating on full blast for 2 days, it didn't warm up to a comfortable temperature until we were ready to leave. In the future we'll ask for the room to be pre-heated and for extra blankets while reception is still open.

Friendly staff and good breakfast. Great location.
Was a bit older and not as clean as you would expect from a bigger hotel. Shower had lots of mold in the grout and corners of the shower. Better towels would be nicer too.

The location is excellent, although there is occasionally street noise under the window. Decent breakfast. Attractive style, high ceilings, lots of space.
The bathroom in the superior room was small and the shower needed a soap dish. In fact the shower needs a proper renovation. The room desperately needs a full length mirror (perhaps inside cupboard door). The bed is too low, and is tired and worn. There is no safe. The TV is way too small - too far to watch from bed!

The location is excellent, right in the heart of old town Bamberg and within a few steps of many great restaurants and Beer gardens. The hotel also has parking very close to the hotel.
Everything was great!
