They were inside property
Beds were a little narrow and hard

We loved the space provided and we were very pleased and did not feel misled at all. We also really appreciated the extra touches such as leaving milk in the fridge for us when we got there. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy time away, with this we definitely will book up here again!
We can't say anything negative to be honest without nitpicking for the sake of it.

Great location and well equipped cottage

Weekend spoilt by the host who was rude and aggressive on Saturday morning as we unknowingly had turned off the Internet for farm and cottages !
We did not see sign on double socket
for lamp and Internet! No info on this anywhere to alert us.
But this was not dealt in a professional manner and I was very upset.
This accommodation is not 5*
Microwave needs replacing
Curtains in twin room need securing
We regularly use holiday cottages and location lovely we would not return

Beautiful location overlooking the Moors and within reach of the stunning quaint village.
Lovely cottage and the hot tub was great.
There were no fans in the cottage and it was hot, so very much needed in the bedrooms.
The footpath from the cottages to the village are overgrown. Got stung lots of times.
4.7
Secluded location but still within walking distance to a shop and restaurant, hot tub, having access to the paddock, lovely welcome hamper, comfortable and clean.
More of a personal touch adding to the property to make it feel more homely. More utensils needed in the kitchen along with kitchen basics. Bigger BBQ needed. Broken unit in living room needs fixing. Hot tub is overlooked by neighbours, so could do with more privacy adding.

The location was stunning - we walked down to the swings and chairs by the lake. Would highly recommend on a nice sunny day & finishing it off in the hot tub.

Very costly and warm. Henry and his wife were very welcoming and keen to ensure that we were happy and settled. They very kindly offered us a later check out time, due to not having a guest in until the next day. This was very handy with the baby.

The cottage was amazing and had everything we needed. The hot tub was great and it was nice and private. Henry was great, helpful and friendly.
The hostess was not so friendly, especially when speaking to my husband who accidentally wondered past a no entry sign going to ask for logs. The check in and out times were very strict, we wanted to arrive earlier to make sure we got there in the daylight.

Our visit was perfect and couldn’t ask for more, the snow truly adds to the feel of the place. One of our most idyllic stays. Location, property, access, service and cleanliness were 10/10 for me we’re hoping to come back a similar time next year.

We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

This is a really beautiful and cosy farm cottage in the middle of the North York Moors. We loved being so close to many walking/hiking trails with incredible views. My husband took advantage of the hot tub in our back garden. Our host was friendly and helpful. Would like to stay there again.
We really have no complaints. We loved our stay here. A couple of suggestions would be to offer a few more basic condiments such as salt and ketchup. I realize that Covid protocols have led to limiting items such as these. A few more bathroom items as well such as shampoo would be appreciated. We travelled here from Canada so these little extras are helpful for a new arrival.

Location was ideally situated at village, very peaceful and relaxing location. Property was very spacious and immaculate. Beautiful decor and quirky cottage feel to the home. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, could have stayed longer, highly recommend this cottage. Everything you need was inside for a holiday home. Owner was very helpful with information leading up to our stay.

What a beautiful little cottage this was. Stayed here with the fam, over the weekend and had a lovely time.
Cottage is deceptively large, was warm, clean and very well presented. Within the gravel garden, you can soak up the stunning hill views, whilst relaxing in the hottub or while eating a meal at the absolutely stunning handmade garden table. In fact if you like woodworking, this place has lot's of lovely examples of the craft.
Jane and her family, were incredibly welcoming and gave some friendly advice on were to eat and go, within the local village, which is a short 10 min walk away.
It's a peaceful place, if you want a break from the hustle and bustle and would just like a relaxing weekend, or it's only half hour from Whitby or 45 mins to Scarborough, if you plan to stay for longer.
Would highly reccomend. :)
That we couldn't stay for longer ;0)
Seriously though and even though this isn't against the cottage, as it's out of their hands but a friendly caution, the short walk to the local village is via a road walk, so maybe best to go in the car, for those with small children or prams.

There is nothing to like. pictures online are not clear. There hygiene standard very poor in house and out side. I booked my stay for 2 nights but I only stayed there for 10 minutes and left Orchard House, due to there poor hygiene standard, found dust in the house, not clean and kettle was so filthy. Extremely disappointed, my 2 night stay was ruined, after 3 hours driving to the place, I left that please in 10 minutes. You can amazing how dirty that place would be. There is more to write but I just would want remember all that again, its painful to even just to thinking about it

Lovely spacious property with everything you need.
Nothing wrong with property!
Be aware though lots of midges outside as it’s on a farm near fields, so take insect repellent spray or candles when in hot tub or sitting outside.

everything it was just great log fire hot tub fantastic location very private
nothing
4.7
Comfy bed and a home from home feel
More environmental thought would be ideal. I.e. solar panels to offset the hot tub power consumption and recycling other than glass needed
4.7
Absolutely perfect place to stay if peace and tranquility is what you are after. And a nice pub a relatively short walk across the fields.
4.7
Such a pretty cottage in a lovely rural setting. I wanted something with character and was cosy. This ticked all my boxes.
4.7
Location lovely - very rural, peaceful and scenic.
Bedrooms were very cosy - very comfy beds
Log burner welcome addition since we visited in Feb
Hot Tub nice bonus
Henry was fabulous - had an issue when we arrived, which he resolved quickly. Very chatty, very helpful. Recommended a few places to go and where to eat.
Access road had severe pot holes which are unavoidable in parts - potential to damage wheels if you don't notice how deep they are.
Single beds very comfy, but very narrow. Anyone taller than me (5ft) might struggle
Limited storage in bedrooms - ok for a short stay but might be an issue for longer breaks
Too many rules for us - didn't expect at over £200 per night to have to strip our own beds. Just felt we couldn't relax and enjoy as much as we usually do when on a "luxury" break away.
Hot Tub needed a clean - could feel the "grime" on the plastic
No instructions for appliances

Very good location with pubs within walking distance. Lovely and peaceful with the owners only minutes away if needed. The cottage was very clean on arrival and the hot tub was awaiting us - no issues. There were utensils and items in the kitchen able to be used if needed with fire logs waiting.
The shower kept overflowing after a couple of minutes as the ledge was small at the bottom of the shower and the water went away slow, therefore had to keep turning the shower off and back on to let the water go down.
The beds in the twin room were very small width, unable to turn over without the mattress tilting.

Spacious and comfortable. Really nice place overall

Beautiful location, it felt very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub over looking the countryside was a lovely touch too. It was also very easy to use and the robes came in handy. We enjoyed waking up each morning and opening the curtains to see the horses in their stables, and hear the relaxing sounds of the stream flowing.
We were a little unsure how to control the heating, but then realised we think it was set on timer.
