A great, great stay!

Sukchan is such a real person. Down to earth, friendly and always makes eye contact when speaking with you. His desire is for you to have the best time possible while at his place. He treats you as if you were the only person there and you are of utmost importance. The room was super clean, the kitchen ware was great, it had an actual vent that goes outside, not recirculated back into the room! Everything is well thought out. He does everything with an eye to future proofing and ensuring that it’s all quality from top to bottom. It shows. The bathroom has great fixtures, the towels are better than I get at hotels that cost double. It’s the little things sometimes. Nothing is run down, dirty or broken. Everything is as new or close. He even had one of his staff get my suitcase from the second floor. I’ve been to so many hotels and motels and Medicine Hat, from budget to high end and nothing comes close to the service, care and quality that I’ve seen with him and Riverside Motel

Disappointing

LOCATION. We actually did not stay there as the location was horrible. We had to pay for the room even though we did not stay. Drove another 2 hours to a MUCH nicer place so we actually paid twice for one night's stay. Not happy campers.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Medicine Hat, stay there you won’t be disappointed.

For the price, this is probably the best motel we stayed at. The owners are friendly, accommodating. The place was extremely clean and comfortable. Easy access to the highway. We’re repeat customers. When we come to Medicine Hat that’s where we stay. It’s better than any big chain motels.

wonderful proprietor

The proprietor is outstanding! The location is great, quiet but central. The two restaurants on the property are great.

The room is heavily perfumed, either with some sort of air freshener or highly-perfumed detergent. If you do not mind (or if you like) scented rooms, no problem, this will be a great place to stay. If perfume bothers you, be aware.

The owner is very receptive. He helped my husband park our big rental truck and trailer. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and a great location just off the highway. Don't let the outside appearance sway you. Good value.

Excellent stay for value. Food service nearby, will deliver upon request. Easy access to highway.

Easy access to highway and great price. Full kitchenette with minimal dishes, silverware and pots in room for use. Separate wifi for every room. There is no cable or satellite connected to the tv but it’s easy to log in your own streaming service to watch on the tv. Owner at office is very nice and accommodating. Food services nearby will deliver to your room upon request but the building is right next door. Car wash available across the street. There was a convention in town and almost no hotels had open space and if they did their prices were way to high for only that reason but this place was incredibly reasonably priced.

No continental breakfast, No swimming pool as expected.

Didn't get the room I booked and prepaid for. The photos were misleading. Parking lot is crowded and gravel. No coffee maker or coffee, no cable, would be nice to be able to watch the news etc...

It was a very transient motel. Only half rolls of toilet paper under sink as the extra rolls, pictures were deceiving and didn’t show outside. NOT a 8.4 rating I’m very disappointed

Clean, comfortable and great value

The owner, Sukhchan, was greqt and was able to accommodate my very late check-in (1am). The rooms have recently been renovated and are very clean and comfortable. They also have nice big tubs, and I only wish I had enough time to take a bath in it. The location is also great, just off the main highway and behind a restaurant that starts serving breakfast at 6am. The prices looked very reasonable (2 eggs, hash, toast and choice of 4 bacon, sausage or ham - $8). I didn't have time to eat so I don't know how good it is, but I'll try it next time.

I couldn't get local TV on the TV, but that may have been user error on my part. It is set up with streaming channels you can sign into though.

The lovely owner is an amazing & so kind. He went out of his way to ensure our comfort & continued happiness throughout our stay. This motel was clean clean clean!!! Great value & it is quiet as well. Very happy with our quick visit to Medicine Hat!!!

Disappointed Travelers!

Good location

Strong odor in the room, found it hard to breath, no face cloths, I don't think the bedding had been changed. Keep your shoes on the floors were dirty. The ratings don't reflect what you actually get. Had we not been so tired from driving we would have moved on.

The room was very nice and renovated. Nice size room with everything I needed.

I found the pillows to be pretty flat. And the blanket was thin (not the end of the world as I was only there 1 night and it's still warm weather right now).
