We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin and the lake. The host was excellent.

The property manager thanks of everything to help your stay be perfect. Very clean, well kept. have a path through the woods leading to the lake path is cleared off from leaves very visible makes the chance of getting a tech very small. Have a fire pit in the back of the house which is easy to get to. it was a five star’s Vacation.

Very private and secluded home was cleaner than any other place we've stayed. Pet friendly, our dog loved all the space to roam around. Wi-Fi was fast and never gave us issues.

The home is beautiful. The inside was sparkling clean. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The little pond was about a 5 minute walk to get down to, it was perfect for our dogs. Karen was very responsive.
My reasons for the 3 stars was first, though the home is big when you add the loft and basement, the small kitchen is cluttered and unorganized so there's nowhere to put your own items. The cabinets are filled with random plasticware, multiple pans and things that no guest will need.
The bathrooms also have a bunch of junk in the drawers. There were plenty of towels but I really didn't know if some were rags or were for people, most were old and some had stains but they were all mixed together.
The screened in porch was in need of better cleaning. I took the vacuum that was available and sucked up a lot of spider webs and dead bugs on the window sill and floor. I know it's exposed and will collect pollen and bugs but it looked like only the main walkway area had been paid attention to. There was a thick film of pollen and black mold spots on one of the small tables I had to scrub off and the table cloth had what looked like spots of black mold in a couple spots.
Lastly, I had to knock off another star for the washing machine being broken. I found out after trying to start a load of laundry, water would fill up and then drain. Karen said sorry sometimes it doesn't work. So I had to take my wet soapy laundry to the laundromat for cleaning. No compensation was offered.

Wonderful stay at this extremely private cabin in the woods. Plenty of room and beds inside- would be great for a big family although it was also perfect for us as a couple with our dogs. The fireplace was lovely and the king size bed comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed and was well equipped. The main bathroom has a large tub with a window next to it. Plenty of towels and comfortable linens. Entire cabin is decorated and smelled really pleasant. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond. Had a perfect stay.

Beautiful little getaway for a winter stay. You're enough off the beaten path that it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere for a quiet getaway, but you are only 10 minutes away from restaurants and Gore. The house was very clean and comfortable, with lots of cute little decorations. The water pressure in the showers was great after a cold ski! We even saw moose tracks when we walked down the road.

While other reviews said internet was an issue; we can say we all work remotely if needed, they have starlink and we had zero issues with internet. The home was perfect for our family of 5 and our dog. As they say you must have an AWD/4WD vehicle since this is a single lane private remote road, but we had no issues at all. We loved the remoteness of the property and the cleanliness, short walk to the beautiful Lake. We made many dinners in the stocked kitchen. The basement was fun with pool table and games. Gore was a 30 minute easy ride, we have stayed closer to gore, but this really is an easy ride. Close to Lake George so that was so much fun, we would definitely return.
Thank you we throughly enjoyed our stay.

The place was wonderful for a Christmas getaway. Secluded, cozy and comfortable. Karen even had it snow for us for a white Christmas!. The cabin is even nicer than it looks in the pictures.

When we turned on the heat the entire house smelled strongly of sulfur all night. I considered driving back home. It got somewhat better the following day. I understand now why there was so much air freshener used in the house. Cell service was so challenging. No TV working due to reception.
We were challenging too with my parents being in their 80's.
The overall consensus was we wouldn't return, too many issues.
The property was beautiful. I was not going to say anything and mark it down as a life lesson. My friends encouraged me to comment.

The cabin is cozy. Three miles off the road and a short walk to the pond. Canoe and 2 kyaks available to use. Don't expect to work remotely here. The owner was very nice and helpful with all my questions.

A very nice cabin in a quiet, secluded neighborhood. Host was very responsive. Wifi was slow but to be expected in a remote area. Path from the house to the lake is longer than originally thought but overall an enjoyable stay.

Perfect cabin in the deep woods! You really feel like you are the only ones there. The place was immaculate! You would never know it was a pet friendly listing. We love to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed. Big fires in the stone fireplace every night. So unbelievably cozy. The pool table only added fun to this this place.
Our dog loved exploring the woods and we loved the many XC skiing trails just a short drive away. Garnet Hill(our favirite) and Coles Woods were great.
Karen was an excellent host. Best I've had while using VRBO for the last 30 years! We will be returning.

My wife, daughter, dog and I rented the cabin for 4 nights and spent it as a home base for skiing and exploring the local area. The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. It was completely secluded, yet had all the creature comforts of home and then some! We loved playing pool and darts in the basement and sitting by the fire at night. We also took lots of snowy hikes and walks including down to the lake. We were truly sad to leave and wish we could have spent more time there!

Met our needs. Many things to do within short driving distance. Caught many large panfish. Kitchen well equipped. many towels to use. Had corn hole, games, pool table and chess table, which we all used a lot. Mosquito's not bad at all.

So serene!!!
A wonderful location! Woods for hiking and clear water for swimming. The kayaks and SUP allowed for us to checkout the lake. The accommodations were perfect with the loft and the pool table. Many nights spent on the screened in porch and at the fire pit. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need! We will be back!

Perfect family retreat
Spent a week at this cabin with family, just outside of Lake George. Property was clean and welcoming, with many amenities. The location was exactly what we were looking for - serene! Our host, Karen was responsive to all questions. Would definitely stay there again!

Mosquito Week
Nice & secluded. Little misleading as to the distance to the waterfront, not exactly a short walk. Not much of a beach. Also, misleading was the room sizes, smaller than anticipated, a little crowded for 6 adults & a baby. The cleanliness was disappointing. The appliances were filthy. The refrigerator was disgusting. The stove had food stuck to it's surface by the burners. Contact lenses were left stuck to an end table in the loft. The toilets had not been cleaned. Two of the beds did not appear to have clean bedding. Everything needed dusting & cleaning. We didn't have enough data for Wi-Fi use but the host acted quickly in adding more data once notified. The host was very pleasant in texting & offering to help with any issues. It wasn't her fault that the cleanliness was so bad. I don't think she knows that her cleaning people are not doing their job. The mosquitoes were horrible. Maybe in the listing it could be stated how bad mosquitoes are in the middle of June so one would know before booking. We cleaned & ended up having a nice time. The cabin is beautiful, just wish it had been clean.

Beautiful secluded ADK cabin!
Our group had a great stay at Karen's Adirondacks cabin. We went skiing at Gore Mountain, easy 25min drive. Loved coming home to our secluded cabin in the woods and cozying up by the fire. The trail down to the lake is great for dogs. Karen was quick to respond to any communications and a great host. Thank you!

Fantastic Getaway
We had a great time at this house. Everything was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely fire in the fireplace on a rainy night. Erica’s Trail down to the lake was an easy hike for a 2 1/2 year old and she loved learning about trail markers. 13/10 recommend!

This home was beautiful and my family really enjoyed our vacation
This property is exactly how it is listed, it is isolated, relaxing, the home is gorgeous and really big, the wood furniture and decor is beautiful. Karen was a great host and answered any questions really fast. My family enjoyed using the paddle board and kayaks. The fire pit is wonderful with enough seating for the whole family to enjoy. The trail to the water was so much fun to walk and my dogs did not want to leave the property they had so much fun. This was an amazing experience and I hope to spend time here next summer.

Wonderful cabin!
My family, our golden retriever and I stayed at the cabin 8/21-8/29 2021. Owner was very responsive and friendly, Cabin was clean and lots of supplies and amenities. We used the fire pit most nights, went to the lake a few days and explored the area. Bring lots of bug spray! Great location if you like being out in the woods for some peace and quiet to relax and refresh!

Great overall experience
Communication with the owner was timely and helpful. Our stay was wonderful. Even with all the rain, we had plenty of indoor activities with the pool table, ping pong, games and puzzles. And once the weather cleared up we made use of the fire pit, hammock, kayaks and pond. It was a fun filled week! Would happily stay at this property again.
