About this house rental
River Bend House is nestled into the bank where the Yachats River bends and flows into the Pacific Ocean in the quaint village of Yachats. The living room is lined with windows, which provide abundant natural light and amazing views of the water. Relax on the couch and watch the resident bald eagles hunt for fish on the beach or catch a glimpse of the elusive kingfisher without leaving the comfort of home. Spend the day hiking in the miles of lush forest surrounding the area. The house is minutes from Siuslaw National Forest / Cape Perpetua (1.9 miles) and Thor’s Well (2.8 miles), a beautiful natural landmark that appears to drain the entire ocean around it.
Take a 3-minute stroll into "The Villiage" and experience locally owned shops and restaurants, a seasonal farmers market, and fun local events in “downtown” Yachats. Guests can visit Luna Sea Fish House and Ona Restaurant & Lounge for delicious local seafood. Walk to explore tide pools and follow the breathtaking 804 Trail along the coastline. Rent a kayak in town and paddle from the beach up the Yachats River just steps from the house.

The view from this house is spectacular - you could sit and watch the show on the beach all day (birds, tides, waves, kayakers, kids, dogs, people...) and the house itself is a cut above with a fabulous master suite. The kids took over the upstairs and had a great time. Nice separation of quarters. I appreciate that the house is obviously cared for with the intention of facilitating an easy and comfortable stay.

We loved the house, it worked well for a group of 5. Plenty of living space to relax and dine in. The house is very comfortable with amazing views. Also had great weather, which allowed us to sit outside and watch the tides and sunsets. 2 of our guests are from Arizona and didn't want to leave.

This house is located close to the business area of Yachats so easy to find places to dine and shop. Also, close to a nice long walk the other direction. Loved watching the early morning and early evening action on the beach in front of the house--lots of dogs having a great time!

The house is clean and nicely furnished. The view and location superb! Short walking distance from town and the beach while being situated on the river. Despite being next hwy 101, it wasn't too loud on a holiday weekend. The turn into the neighborhood is abruptly situated on a corner next to the bridge on the pedestrian side of the street. Easy to miss and a little challenging with traffic at times. Very minor inconvenience.

We had a great time at Riverbend. The home was well equipped and the location was just a short walk to town and beach access. We would probably choose a place with less road noise in the future as this location is directly on the 101 but it might be a gem for another family. It has 3 distinct living spaces which was awesome and could work perfectly for 2 couples with kids.

We spent our first Christmas with our baby in Yachats. We traveled from Arizona and our Oregon family joined us.What an amazing location , views and beautiful home. My dad grew up going to Depot Bay for Christmas and he was elated to spend his first Christmas as a grandpa at the beach. The home was beautiful, comfortable and equipped with anything we might need. Our entire family was comfortable during our stay. We had such a special Christmas.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The access to the ocean and calm waters of the river emptying into the cove was just wonderful! House was fully stocked (loved there so many towels and comfy bedding) and was expertly cleaned when we arrived. Check-in was simple and contactless, and communication with the organizer was perfect! Highly recommend!!

The only drawback with my stay was that it wasn't long enough! I took my nephews from Alabama on a small PNW tour and Yachats was one of the stops. We stayed in this house for two nights and it was wonderful! The view from the living area is so beautiful. We were treated to great sunsets and we loved watching people walk and play fetch with their dogs on the beach. There were three of us and it was really nice to each have our own bathroom and bedroom. The house was clean, very close to all the restaurants in Yachats, and in a great location from which to explore the central Oregon coast. I would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved this house, this location, and the host. The house is lovely and well appointed, with everything you could need, including poo pourri with every throne! We had the pleasure of staying in the master bedroom, but the other rooms were nice as well. The master bathroom has a real Jacuzzi tub and we enjoyed that immensely.
The living space was delightful and comfortable and the view was outstanding. We loved the deck and utilized it much, including the grill. It was nice to have good wine glasses and dinnerware.
I would absolutely stay here again. I hope to in the near future. The rules were reasonable, too.

This house is everything they said it would be. Spotlessly clean, well decorated, and supplied with everything you need for a great stay on the Oregon coast . The beds were very comfortable. There is a lovely view from the open living room/dining room/kitchen. There is a pleasant deck overlooking the water. Nice bathrooms well-supplied with towels. The kitchen was wonderful - all the utensils and cooking equipment that we needed. The short walk into town or to the beach is along the highway, but for just a short distance. Yachats is charming and very close to several beautiful beach areas and sights. In spite of being located on the highway, the house was very quiet. It wasn't a problem.

Wonderful place
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this beautiful home. The beach was safe and sheltered from the wind so our little ones could safely toddle around and play for endless hours in the soft sand. The home itself provided for every need and then some. We were absolutely thrilled with this rental and will definitely return if the occasion presents itself.

Celebration of Life of our mother
Rarely does a property look better than the online photos….this one far exceeded my expectations! The house and location beautiful. I could list 100 positive points but everything was positive except two things. The bedrooms need ceiling fans. The rooms were very stuffy at night and the windows only back onto a loud street. The third bedroom would be great for kids but for adults not very welcoming. Beds were just so so. If possible a little surface space in the bathroom would be a great addition. All that being said I will recommend to family and friends and come back again!!!! Thank you for providing such a beautiful spot for our celebration.

Had a great stay at this location! Beautiful view, quiet neighborhood, beautiful house. The road to pull out is a little dangerous as it’s on a blind corner for both directions and the tv didn’t have sound, but otherwise we really enjoyed the property!

Riverbend house
Spent easter weekend at the property. The town, and house are beautiful. Check in was smooth and easy, beach access is a block down the a very short and quiet street. The house looked like the previous renters didn't clean up very well but they left the same day we arrived so it looks like the turn around was pretty quick. Complimentery dog toys was a nice touch. Overall a great place to stay. We look forward to staying again.

We loved this home and the convenient location in Yachats, OR. We were just steps (5 minutes walking) away from the the town shops in one directions and beach access the other direction. You could also walk another 5-10 minutes west of the town to reach Yachats State Park.The views from the home were even better than the pictures in the listing. The deck and the living room both provided a beautiful view and we got lucky with great sunsets each night. We loved watching how the shore changed throughout the day with the tides. The owners/property managers thought of everything! There were so many thoughtful touches and “extras” to make us feel right at home. Our dog LOVED the dog bed, toys and treats that were left for him. So thoughtful. There were tons of games, puzzles and books. Plenty of towels, bedding and blankets. The kitchen had everything we needed including an air fryer and a touchless faucet. The layout of the home was particularly functional for our group. Each room has its own bathroom and the design gave everyone a lot of privacy. There was a great laundry pass through from the master closet to the laundry that was extra convenient. The only (small) complaint is that the water heater did not hold enough water to fill the master (huge) tub with hot water. Several of the shops are closed mid week, so make sure you check their hours if you want to brows the shops. We wanted to go to the bakery, but were unable to get there during their open hours. (I guess we will need to plan another visit!) We have stayed in many vacations rentals throughout the country. This particular home has been hands down a favorite and we can’t wait to return.

Dont Go If you have a family with a dog or dogs
The property is right under the hwy 101 bridge near the Yachats river. There is no access to the river or the beach from the house or near the house... great view from 2 rooms truly but... We left some clothes by accident (a sweat shirt my son won in competition at school) and asked Nikki to have them returned, she told us the house keeper could not find a large sack of clothes by the washer and we replied we were disappointed... the host Nikki took this as us accusing her house keeper of theft!!??????? then complained our dogs were on the couch (very very old in bad shape couch we might add) in a house that's supposed to be dog friendly, turned it into an adversarial conversation. The sink is motion activated and when we asked for help no response, we figured it out.. but what could have been a great time was really ruined by very adversarial behavior that was completely avoidable. We will NEVER rent from them again...
