We enjoyed the garden. The location. Everything was wonderful. Thank you for the swag as well. We just loved it

Great location to be close to downtown and plenty of places to walk to. Backyard is amazing! The house is old, and has tenants upstairs so you’ll hear them walking around. Parking is a little sketchy, so don’t plan to have a larger vehicle. Only one bathroom, and I’d say it sleeps 5 people comfortable but we had 7, and that was crowded. Hosts are very responsive and overall was a great place.

This was the best vacation rental we've ever used. The location was fantastic; we were able to go on beautiful runs on Nicollet Island and St. Anthony Main, we could walk to pick up groceries and takeout, and we had easy access to everywhere else we wanted to go. Unlike many listings, this property was honest about how many it sleeps, and was a comfortable home base for our family of five. The fenced backyard and outdoor eating space were great for traveling with children.

We absolutely loved staying at “The 402” as it is lovingly named. The house was perfectly located close to downtown and everything we planned to do. It was also wonderful for family chats in the beautiful back yard and games in the living room. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Pictures do not represent current condition of the space. Outside ares included, unattended mess. Needs deep clean badly windows, curtains, furniture covered in dust. In addition, this is a Unit in a large house it is not a stand alone property which was expected based on description. Noise: upstairs tenant foot steps and music from continual. Good location.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful property! The house itself has so much character, lots of space, and well stocked kitchen! The location is also great- walking distance to lots of shops/ restaurants and also near the river! But the best part of all is the back yard - there’s green space, a bar/ eating area to hang out, a fire pit AND a secret garden - we could have stayed out there all day! Would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Minneapolis!

This place is amazing. The house itself is amazing as it blends the old architecture (Spoiler: I love pocket doors) with new modern touches. It is close enough to Minneapolis to make it an easy commute to anything in the city but in an area where it doesn’t feel you are in the city. My dogs had an amazing time in the backyard and did tons of zoomies. Instructions super clear.
It was a Vikings everything trip (stadium tour, game, and museum) as well as mall of America and some parks. Everything was within 30 minutes so it was the perfect base of operations for our trip. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Loved staying here while in town for a dog training conference with my 3 dogs. It was nice having a backyard to let them off leash in. The only thing is I wish there would’ve been a way to access the backyard without having to go through/open the side gate every time.it would have been nice having one of the doors that leads into the backyard to actually have the ability to open up to allow us to do that. Besides that great house!

We were come for a wedding and due to illness we ended up hosting a couple of events and the backyard was great for getting the family together. The location is close to everything in Minneapolis . The barbecue worked but is on it’s last legs. Having folding chairs would be a nice addition as well as drinking glasses.

We stayed here in December when visiting family for Christmas and loved the space & the area. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed & more. We had our son’s dog too & there was plenty of room for a crate. We liked it so much that we booked it right away for our daughters’ July wedding. The yard was better than we imagined & was the perfect setting for a Friday night back yard party. No dog with us this time but certainly welcomed. Adam gave us bike riding ideas & is very friendly. Plenty of restaurants, grocery stores & the Saturday farmers market all near by.
We’ll certainly be back!

This was my first visit to Minneapolis. Anne and Gary's home was incredible. It was very clean and it was gorgeous! The wooden door frames, stain glass windows, and especially the fenced in backyard gardens with a built in fireplace and bar give the home so much character and charm. You could almost just spend your vacation in the home and on the property without having to go anywhere else--it felt like a personal resort. Anne and Gary were accessible, everything was exactly as it was represented on VRBO. I appreciated the dog-friendly backyard and home as well! When I return I will definitely plan to stay here again.

We were looking for a house in St. Anthony for 4 of us since we have family in the neighborhood. This house fit the bill. Owners were friendly & responsive when we had an issue with the internet. It's walkable to restaurants & a great grocery store. There was a snow emergency & the off street parking was appreciated. The house was warm & cozy. We've already booked a visit this summer so we can enjoy the backyard & bar.

We enjoyed our long weekend at this house in NE Minneapolis. There is plenty of room and everything was well stocked. 2 bedrooms, but a third room with a pull-out couch can be a third bedroom. The outside deck area with fire pit is a must use feature for a dinner or BBQ. Close to many great bars, stores, restaurants. Cable TV was nice to watch football on a Sunday afternoon.

I have stayed at several VRBO’s, one being a beach front house on the ocean at Gulf Shores which was great. This house was hands down the best VRBO experience I’ve had. The backyard is a whole other world in itself. Anne and Gary have board games, wood for the outdoor fireplace, dog food bowls for your pets, high chairs for your young ones….you name it, they have it - including dog beds! I not only want to stay here again, I would live in this house which boasts original pocket doors and many other antique features. The location is phenomenal and close to just about everything you need to do in Minneapolis. Highly recommend this property…

My family had a wonderful time staying here! It was very kid friendly and I wasn't worried about letting my toddlers explore the house. The outdoor area is beautiful and was perfect for hosting our extended families. The owners were very helpful and made sure we had a great stay. Would definitely recommend.

Great location, historic home and beautiful backyard
This is a beautiful historic home in a great location. The home has charming historical details, neighborhood artwork, in great shape and clean. The backyard is a great place to get together with family and friends. We hosted two gatherings in the back yard during our stay. The owners made sure that the yard furniture was clean and fire wood in the fireplace before each of our gatherings.
The home is within walking distance to a grocery store, liquor store and many restaurants. We were also able to walk to downtown Minneapolis and run on the paths along the river.
We really enjoyed our stay here and plan to stay again.

Backyard bliss!
This was our first family vacation after having a baby and then COVID. The "402 NE Bar" was the perfect place to play, grill, unwind, nap and hang out with friends and family. We spent most our time sitting under the covered bar. Anne & Gary were very responsive, the house was clean, comfortable, and stocked with anything you could ever need or want. It was also very baby friendly! So much safe space for our daughter to crawl around. Location was great too! Farmers market just a short walk away (on Saturdays), there's also a variety of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Hope to stay here again!!

A+ Property for Relaxing and Entertaining
Beautiful historic home in NE Minneapolis Arts District and only minutes away from UMN campus and downtown Gorgeous and comfortable interior with lots of space, but the backyard/patio is the real star with a fantastic bar, fireplace, and colorful gardens with lots of art pieces. Perfect for just chilling or having a small gathering as we did for a graduation party. Plenty of parking, and walkable to all kinds of food and retail. Anne and Gary are great hosts. It’s hard to find properties that allow gatherings or don’t charge extra for them, but I can’t imagine one better than this.

We LIVED in the backyard💜
My girlfriend and I had a ladies weekend. Had a small gathering Friday night and the outdoor lounge space was a hit! Still cold because....MN, but once we lit the gorgeous fireplace no one ever left that area. There would have been plenty space inside as well, nice couches and seating.
The location was incredible for getting around! Super artistic ambiance in the backyard. Gary was friendly and helpful.
We would totally stay here again. Aloha
