Great pool area with small pool for babies.
Good breakfast with ok coffee.
About 10 min walk from city center and 15 min from beach.
Good wi-fi in room.
Cosy balcony.
Slightly shabby amenities, outdated bathroom equipment.
4.1
It's a good place in general, it's about 15 min slow walk to the sea shore, about 10-15 minutes to the old centre. The pool is huge. Having the washing machine in the room was an advantage.
Everyday cleaning was also good to have.
While it's relatively close to the short and the centre, the actual location of the hotel is not in the nicest part of the town - it's full of high rises, on a rather busy street (on a scale of a small town). The apartments are OK, but they are not big. Our balcony overlooked that busy street I mention earlier.
If you'd like to sleep without airco and decide to open the windows then some of the rooms would be too noisy.
The major disadvantage was the sport facilities which were not great, it's a super small gym, and the machines are quite rundown. It really requires a major refresh.
Also, bear in mind, there's no salt/pepper/coffee, not even for the first meal.
It's also not about the hotel, but the parking on the street is really busy, in July it was really difficult to find a spot. The hotel's parking was rather expensive.

Lovely pool. Close to the beach. Food in pool restaurant was good. Breakfast selection good. Spacious apartment. Ideal for a stop over.
No air conditioning in rooms. Apartment was on top floor so we were reluctant to open windows fully with three young kids. Parking was expensive but little choice as no parking available near the hotel.
4.1
Big apartment, close to city center, beautiful view and nice breakfast
Smell of smoke in room, air conditioner was not working well, not enough kitchen facility to cook, not friendly hotel staff, not clean swimming pool
4.1
Very very friendly staff, clean everywhere, good pool with attactive surrounding. Huge size suite. 'Old days' glamour
I thought half board was buffet but actually not. Food from menu and quality below awerage. We did not used that until weekend came and theb buffer existed and it was then ok. Also i doubt how about room temp at hot season. Air cond was more like fan effect rather than real cooling. Also beds are quite 'used'. Don't read this too negative
4.1
Food was great, lovely and clean premises and unique design.
No restaurant available on Sunday night.
4.1
The decor of the hotel was lovely (although some cracked mirrors need replacing). The pool and grounds are beautiful. You can tell a lot of effort goes into keeping the white walls clean and the gardens spotless.
We stayed in a junior suite and it was huge. Would be very comfortable for a longer stay as the kitchen is well equipped and the rooms and very comfortable.
Parking is available at 17 euro a night but is a very secure underground car park.
The breakfast buffet was lovely.
The lunch menu doesn't have any other option other than pizza for the kids.
The dinner buffet wasn't very good at all. Poor choice and mostly cold and felt like cheap food and bad quality.

just amazing all of it, beautiful outside and inside, food was ok.
nothing to dislike
4.1
Fantastic breakfast and beautiful swimming pool area/gardens
4.1
Amazing pool, good breakfast, decent selection of options at the breakfast buffet.
the restaurant/bar never seemed to be open, so nowhere to have a drink other than around the pool. Staff were miserable, Air Conditioning was barely noticeable in the apartment, not enough chairs for four people to sit comfortably, the car park was expensive considering how much we had already paid 16 euros a night! not a 4 star hotel, no room service, no kettle, more like self catering with a nice pool.

Pool and pool area was very good
Our room did NOT have air-conditioning and we were not even offered a discount on our room. To sleep in over 30C heat with no air-conditioning at a 4 star hotel is unacceptable. I was very disappointed with how the staff handled this as they didn't even apologies. We won't be coming back. The breakfast buffet had seen better days and was very poor for a 4 star property - you really need to shape up otherwise you will loose a lot of customers.
4.1
friendly staff. Nice pool for adults and older children
The balcony overlooked a noisy main road - the noise was immense and there was little to no soundproofing. The breakfast choices were limited and options quickly ran out and were not replaced (on most days). There was evidence of mildew in the bathroom.
4.1
The A La Carte restaurant, food and staff were exceptional. it was also beautiful and in the warm weather felt perfect . stunning outdoor spaces
with the exception of a gentleman we saw towards the end of our stay reception staff seems to try hide away from helping you , they would see you and try duck behind the covid screens or ignore you by staring at their computer screens. at one pit my family was handed a map without explanation until we asked for help again.
buffet breakfast was served indoors with poor ventilation in brightly lit hall despite the stunning sunlight outside. and the beautiful outdoor setting not very environmentally friendly and a serious unnecessary covid risk
Pool had very poor access for the older generation
4.1
Great gardens and a fantastic pool area. Good breakfasts, great coffee, helpful staff.
The car park is too expensive and the town of Almunecar is not a great place to visit.

4.1
The location, walkable to town and beach
Outside setting, outside very clean and tidy
trees, plants and pool area
Decor in dinning room nice and clean and cool
Suite tired, tiling all fine but grouting grubby, mastic round sink had black mould. It took 5 days of asking for air con to be checked as not working. Was then fixed when I stated I wasnt happy and we had a heatwave. Then
Not really air conditioning more vents circulating air. Didnt like thick pile rug which couldn't have been hoovered. Layout of suite nice but needs freshen up. No kettle. . Touching up in bathroom shabby. Flush button in loo broken, sink plug broken. Hair dryer cut out after 25 seconds ( replacement delivered to my room 🙂)
Bar was closed for first few days I presume to low occupancy. Breakfast same every day, wasn't informed of restaurant if we wanted to add dinner couple of evenings, wasn't told where restaurant was found myself next to pool. Thurs to sunday lots more guests and bar open, pool bar opened earlier and life guard on duty. Couple of different pastries added when more guests.
Appreciated bed being made each day and bathroom tidied, cleaned but floors could have been moped as there for 2 weeks. No washing liquid tea towel to clean plates glasses etc.
Could have done with blackouts in double bedroom

Pleasant hotel that’s been kept updated. Large suite with huge lounge area. Very clean everywhere. Lovely pool area reached via gardens. Great buffet breakfast.
Aircon not very effective. Quite a walk from seafront. Had to pay for parking (in dark and largely empty underground car park); should be free.
4.1
Style, Andalus/Arabic lovely place ,patios garden,I love it. We had our dog with us and no problem.
4.1
The pool area was excellent and the location was perfect for our stay.
The hotel lacked atmosphere and was very cold and clinical. The hotel reception was very dark and unwelcoming not good for meeting people and have discussions.
4.1
Large hotel with big pool in 10-15 minutes walk of Almuñécar seafront. Clean rooms and facilities.
Some of the decor looks a little tired and dated.
4.1
nice spacious rooms, breakfast in bed
booked it for the swimming pool but the swimming pool was closed the days we were there
4.1
pool
room
4.1
- swimming pool (big and also has a large section for kids, ideal for families)
- the room itself and common areas (except shower), large area and cozy.
- staff at reception (weren't very helpful nor interested in our stay, not good service)
- showers ( water flooded on the bathroom floor when showering due to bad design of shower)
- very difficult to park in area and hotel parking was complicated to park in and to take out when checking out
-breakfast, it had variety, but everything was too salty or too sweet.
-Hotel Wifi was non-existent
