About this house rental

The charming building has a rich history with origins dating back to as early as the mid-1800s. The original structure burnt down and was rebuilt in 1918, but it is believed that parts of the early foundation still remain. It has operated as numerous businesses and has seen a handful of owners throughout its life. This newly-restored two bedroom suite upstairs features chestnut window and floor trim, hardwood floors, locally-made Amish furniture, and beautiful views of historic downtown Berlin.

I'd stay there again! If your stay is to be in the heart of Amish country this place works. Really nice accommodations and sitting on the upstairs deck watching people go by was entertaining and relaxing. I don't have any suggestions that would have made our stay any better, everything was Great. Just be prepared for everything in town to be closed on Sunday, after all it's Amish country.

The nicest place we have stayed in Amish Country! It was a birthday celebration for my husband, and they even left us a chocolate cupcake! It was so nice and cozy. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

The property is located in town which was very convenient. The deck was awesome. We played cards out there until midnight. Highly recommend this site for an enjoyable stay in Berlin. We are already planning on reserving the place for our next visit to the Amish Country Theature.

The Wurthmann house is so homey, such a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. The location is right in the heart of it all!! We were able to walk back to the room whenever we wanted. They even left us some local popcorn for a treat and a coffee cup to take home. Thanks so much!! We will be back!!

This is such a charming property with generous amenities! Perfect for our stay in Amish Country. Excellent location to walk to so many things in Berlin. Great local diner right next door. Host communicated everything perfectly and we had no issues.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the most lovely VRBO! Clean is a understatement! Extremely tastefully decorated. We wanted for nothing. The balcony over looking Main Street -was our favorite-hoping it is available when my husband and I visit soon.❤️

Had a very nice time, host was very helpful, very cute place had everything we needed. Local shops were walking distance. The only thing we could say negative about this place was you could hear the semi's passing early in the morning and people outside talking in the morning going to the restaurant below. Loved the treats that was left for us and the free coffee mug.

We loved this rental and location. Clean, cozy and so comfortable. The towels and bed linens were high quality and so soft. You could walk to everything and I loved the oak furniture throughout. I will definitely be back. The free coffee mug was the cherry on top!! Don’t wait book this place now.

We visit Amish Country often and we’re looking for a place for a spur of the moment trip (it gets very busy in the fall). We were able to make this reservation easily and the price was great!!! The house/apartment was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated. We even received a box of delicious chocolates I. Celebration of our anniversary (my husband and I celebrated 44 yes this month)! We made the trip, as usual, with my husband’s twin brother and his wife. We all had a blast and have already comfirmed our reservation here for next year.

A friend and I stayed at the Wurthmann House for an overnight getaway to Amish Country. The house was cozy and very cute. It had everything we needed. Even though it rained a little, we enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking Main Street. Thank you very much for the perfect little spot to catch up and spend time with friends!

We all enjoyed unit 1. Great location. We were welcomed with the cozy peaceful atmosphere and even a surprise birthday cake! My sisters and mom were all here to celebrate our sisters birthday. So that was a nice touch!

We were in Berlin to attend a Beach Boys Tribute show at the Amish County Theatre. We chose to stay at the Wurthman House instead of the hotel attached to the theatre because we wanted to eat at Boyd and Wurthman Restaurant. Much to our disappointment, the restaurant closed at 3:30. So by the time we got in our unit at the 3:00 check in and got to the restaurant, it was too late. So we went to the ice cream shop several doors down the other way. We loved the Fall decorations in Unit # 1 and will stay there again sometime.

We try to stay some place different when visiting and the Wurthmann House is def in our top 5! The house was exactly as listed and we really enjoyed the goodies left upon check in. We'll def be back.
