About this apartment rental

Beachfront property in central part of beautiful San Pedro. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc. 8-9 blocks from local airport. Water dock literally yards away. We can certainly assist in booking excursions including snorkeling, fishing trips, diving trips. Or, just relax on the hammock at the hotel.

Each room has fans and, since hotel is beachfront, there is always a nice breeze. If AC is needed, it's available for a small fee. No need to pay ahead of time, clients usually decide once they get there. Each room also has minifridge and private washroom.

You are currently reviewing the first floor option. If you are interested in the second floor option, please see that on VRBO or notify me. The second floor has a small kitchenette.

Also of note: due to the high costs of maintaining the TV's and most clients do not use it, we have stopped all TV services. We do have excellent Wifi option, so please bring your smart device.

Can’t get much closer to the beach than this little place. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short by hurricane Beryl, so…we’ll try again some other time. Location makes for easy access to many local spots.

Conch Shell Inn is a cute little place. Vivienne was so accommodating, allowing us to check in early and then offering to store our luggage for a few hours after check out. She was fun to chat with and absolutely relieved our stress.

This property is managed by Vacasa and it's a nuisanse. When you're traveling you'd appreciate having all the information in one source. Unfortunately, in this case VRBO site merely redirects you elsewhere which is often inconvenient. They stay itself was pleasant. The staff was responsive and accomodating. We found the $15 AC surcharge a bit strange and actually a bit spoiling the impression. I doubt it's a good business model (we didn't take it).

The Conch Shell Inn is located very nicely in the heart of San Pedro town. Easy walking distance to everything. The ocean is only 30 feet from the bottom of the stairs. Was able to go snorkeling right in front of the inn. Located 5 minute walk from the water taxi. Coffee shop around the corner. It is a emerging country and the Inn is no frills. The bed was very comfortable and our hosts were excellent. I would recommend the budget minded here anytime.

Nice place. Simple amenities, but clean and comfortable. If you're looking for luxury I recommend elsewhere, but the location is very convenient right in downtown, especially if you have a short (2-3 night) stay and aren't mostly exploring on foot. If there is a decent amount of foot traffic it can get a little noisy right outside the motel room, which is all fairly audible due to the windows being screens only (for temperature comfort), but it didn't bother us too much. Overall a clean nice place for a great price in a super convenient location!

Close to everything in San Pedro. No fault of Conch Shell Inn, but kids fist fighting in front of next door restaurant one night. Hopefully not a regular occurrence. Lots of soliciting in the area. Have to pay extra for a/c. It's clean, but no TV, no windows, just outer shutters and screens. Nice patios and enclosed area, quiet enough after 11p. All excursions and ferry are steps away! Nice managers and hard workers keeping it up. Would stay again for the price!

Beachfront property with water taxi and dive shop right out front. Good location, a short walk to some really good restaurants. I was really surprised that I didn't have to use the ac. The two fans and breeze from the water were enough to keep me cool. It was low season and The bar next door was not loud. I could see how this would be an issue though with the windows open during busy season. The only thing I didn't like was every morning the boats were fueling up and the breeze would bring the smell right into the room. Other than that, I would recommend this property.

Location was wonderful and the room was very clean. The on-site caretaker was friendly and helpful. The only thing that the listing did not mention is it is quite loud at all hours of the night and there were many guests partying outside late into the night. Again, wonderful place and location but not if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet evenings sleep.

The place is perfect for those who want to be close to things and not have to use a golf cart to get around. All dive shops are close and all of the best restaurants as well. Host was remarkable and would stay here again. You get the feel of being in the middle of things without leaving the porch chair. Nice view

Vivian, the house keeper, was absolutely amazing!!! She was friendly and available at all times. The owner, although not on site, was super communicative. I never felt lost in the rental process. I would most definitely, without a doubt stay here again.

The Conch Shell is right on the water in the middle of San Pedro town next to one of the water taxi ports (not the main one which is about 300 feet down the beach). Location was great for us as we don't need a lot of frills, just a safe place to stay that is clean and comfortable. Vivian is amazing and took great care of us (and the whole property!). We booked a room not knowing that there was no cooking items at all - no coffee maker or hot plate, so that worked against us as we had to go out for all food. Make sure if you need to cook that you get a room that is set up for that. Even being on the beach, it was not overly noisy or dangerous, though there were people hanging out in the side street everyday asking us if we want to buy extra-curricular substances. Generally they were nice and took no for an answer, but they never did remember us so they asked every day. This is not a beach for swimming as the boats leave from here to taxi people out on fishing and other activities, but it really only was a problem at about 7am in the morning. If you are planning to sleep in, don't stay here or bring your earplugs. Overall this was a great location, great price, comfortable beds, hot water, great staff, and great sunrise view every day! Would recommend!

Was impressed with the welcome of the staff and location - so close to restaraunts and shops, minutes walk to Maya Island airport, and seconds from the dock if you are coming by boat. The photos do not lie - very quaint and quiet for us. You will certainly enjoy the views, too!

The outside of the building needs work, in the way of painting, but this didn’t bother me too much. The inside of the unit is dated, tiles are cracked but not badly. Taps are rusted but they worked. Plenty of hot water available. There was a small fridge, microwave, and dishes but no way to clean the dishes after use. No housekeeping the second day, which I didn’t expect but I would have liked to have had dish soap, dish cloth to wash the dishes. The shutters on the windows are metal and with the strong winds coming off the water they made a lot of noise. One night the winds opened the shutters. The room was in a building beside 2 bars, and I knew that going in. Karaoke and alcohol are not a good mix. Between the bad karaoke singers and the noisy shutters I got about 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night. One 48 oz jug of drinking water was provided. I consider drinking water a necessity and should be provided at no charge. The owner wasn’t supplying me with more water so I did have to go to the store to get more. I did very much enjoy sitting out on the porch overlooking the water, but I didn’t have wifi when my door was closed.

This was what we needed it to be, which is an accessible location for the night close to the water taxi terminals and central San Pedro for the great food. I would not plan a vacation here, but for our needs it fit the bill perfectly, and the AC gave us the coldest night we had for several weeks in Belize. The main thing you may have to deal with is the bar next door, it was pretty loud a few times, or the people there were at least, but again, we weren't expecting a resort or anything and this was clean and a great location. IMO, depending on your comfort level, this is not in the more touristy areas of San Pedro but it's a safe and convenient place to stay.

It's nothing fancy, but it has everything you need. Bed, bathroom w/ shower, a refrigerator. But it's also right on the beach, close to many restaurants and other nightlife options. Booking was easy. Communication was timely. I had to adjust my schedule by a day due to a flight cancelation and making the change was easy. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to clean around your schedule. I would stay here again.
