About this cabin rental
Island Retreat invites you to come and experience your vacation in this magnificent cabin located in the gated community of Bills Island. This super comfortable cabin will more than adequately meet all the needs for 10 guests. Situated with three private bedrooms you can enjoy a good night’s sleep. The cabin has a main floor master bedroom with a large bathroom and walk in closet. The upstairs bedrooms each contain two beds with an upstairs common bathroom. For convenience sake there is an additional ¾ bath located downstairs. With a massive kitchen and 2 dining areas and attached living room with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling rock gas fireplace – you can spend your evenings cooking and enjoying the company of your companions. The covered wrap around porch beckons you regardless of the weather to enjoy the mountain air. The back deck and firepit will have you gazing at the stars and telling stories of your days adventures.
WIFI is provided for your use. Television is provided on a Roku with Netflix provided. Unlike many rental homes in our area we provide a garbage service for your convenience. No last minute trips to the dump to inconvenience our guests.
Arrive at any time, for your convenience; we will provide a door code for our guests with a map about 2 weeks before your arrival. Avoid the tedious check-in process.
Island Retreat is open year around and is conveniently located in a central location. Your vacation home base is within minutes of some of the area’s best activities. Just down the road is a public boat launch for the Island Park Reservoir. Abundant fishing opportunities are available in every direction – enjoy fly fishing on Henry’s Fork of the Snake or the Madison Rivers or drop your line in the numerous lakes and reservoirs. Take the time to enjoy the beauty of Mesa Falls, feed the fish at Big Springs and tour Johnny Sacks Cabin, all within minutes of leaving the cabin. Activities are numerous and fun filled – float trips, hiking, horseback riding and golf are just a few of the many features that can be enjoyed within just a few miles of the cabin. Snowmobile and atv riders, you can leave right from Island Retreat, you will be delighted with miles of exploring on an elaborate trail system. This area is a snowmobiles paradise, with something for every riding level. Nordic Skiing opportunities are right out the door or groomed trails systems are within minutes at Harriman State Park and West Yellowstone.
During the winter, the driveway is plowed. There is ample space for a snowmobile trailer and vehicles. Should your party need more space there is a public parking area approximately ½ mile from the cabin.
Island Retreat is a NON SMOKING cabin. We are under county ordinances for short term rentals and ask that our guests please stay in compliance for their safety and health; we ask that you stay within capacity limits, read and comply with the burn and no fireworks ordinance and please be neighborly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spacious cabin. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners/management were prompt with their communication via text when needed. The neighborhood was lovely and the cabin was surrounded by beautiful trees. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

This cabin was truly a home away from home. We played hard all day at Yellowstone park, and then breathed a sigh of relief upon finding rest and enjoyment in this cabin. The neighborhood was perfectly quiet and peaceful. The cabin has all the necessities for comfortable living.

Check in detail was not complete; could not use grill due to lack of barbecue utensils and trash can full upon our arrival and was never picked up during our stay. We really enjoyed this house. It had everything we needed. Tons of space! And the kitchen was well equipped for the meals we made there. Our kids loved sleeping in the huge closets with their sleeping bags. They thought it was way more cool than sleeping in a bed! We found the house to be clean and well cared for.

It was a warm and cozy place to stay we all enjoyed it….one thing I can say be prepared to shovel your way to the porch, there was a lot of snow and we were so happy we threw snow shovels in because it was deep…but added to our adventure and fun memories loved it. Would definitely stay there again

The property was wonderful. Our only complaints were the internet, didn’t work the entire weekend, which was needed to submit homework, and work hours. Also need to update checkin instructions for locating key, in the building, not the board, and the location of the correct key box.

This house checked every box for us. The beds were very comfortable. Everything we needed for cooking was easily found and worked perfectly. We had a small problem with the water pump, but the property manager was SO efficient, and the problem was fixed faster than any fix I have ever experienced in a city. Considering we were in the mountains, that was so impressive!
We had friends staying in another cabin and they had so many problems that were never addressed throughout their stay. Every call or text was answered immediately!
This home was comfortable and had more than enough accommodations for anything you might need or want. As a side note, we had a 1 year old who likes to sleep in a very dark room. The master bedroom closet can fit a pack 'n' play, this was so nice so we had even more rooms available for our teens.
We stayed in July - I think it was unseasonably hot. Some fans to draw in the outside air would be nice, but we weren't home much in the day so it wasn't too big of an issue.
All in all, you can't go wrong booking this home.

The pictures in VRBO didn’t show that this home is the surrounded by forest greenery. As we drove inside the gate, we saw the lake and the road winding through the lush greenery was a mesmerizing drive .As we reached the cabin, we were happy to see the welcoming house. All the rooms were nicely kept. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The linens were neat and clean. The home decor excellent. The master bedroom and bathroom very spacious . View from each room is nice. We were a party of six adults. All of us had a bed for ourselves . Shawna, who coordinated with us through VRBO is very prompt in her replies . Our stay was memorable and looking forward to stay again in future.

The property was exactly as advertised, was awesome!

The cabin was very comfortable and clean but I was surprised that there was no air conditioning. The process of accessing a lock box using a numeric code was inconvenient as the instructions were not clear and an irate person was yelling at us to move out of the way while we were getting the key. We were traveling on motorcycles so the stone driveway and the difference in elevation (grade) between the road and the drive was difficult to navigate. Overall the stay was good and we would reserve this cabin again with different vehicles.
