A very tranquil and private place. It has easy access to various vineyards.
The owner is also very responsive and accommodating.

The perfect getaway for my family. Nice grill, hot tub and pool. The primary bedroom has a lot of natural light. It was hard to find the laundry room because it wasn’t labeled but the door code to access it was helpful.

Lying on the hammock listening to the babbling brook felt like I was filming a meditation app commercial! Very relaxing!
But - I was a bit surprised at the actual age of the property compared to the photos for the listing. I was actually not sure I was at the right place. The deck around the property looks to have about 20+yrs of wear and was a bit sketchy in parts. The hammock chair was moldy and the general front area was in need of some TLC (some of the chairs were not usable, lots of dead plants in planters).
Some of the windows don't stay open and be careful with the back sliding door as the latch will fall into the locked position by itself (there is no screen). The front door is a keyless entry so there is that in case you get locked out.
We were disappointed at the condition of the pool (too much algae to go in). We were busy the first two days and I was prepared to contact the owner (who is super responsive) when a pool person showed up. It was unannounced and was actually pretty disruptive as we were hosting a brunch and parking is really challenging.
All in all, the house is very nice, the grounds are lovely and the owner was great to work with.

We stayed at this property as a group of six moms in their 40s, it was the perfect home base for outings (dinner at Salt & Stone, a walk in the botanical gardens, plenty of wine tastings) and a comfy retreat at the end of the day. A few ants were spotted in the master bathroom, so the more squeamish members of our group opted for other bedrooms. Everything was clean and in great working condition, hammocks and porches and deer grazing by the creek were enjoyed by all!

We had a fantastic time! Picnicking by the creek was delightful, and the outdoor seating areas were lovely. The peaceful ambiance and early check-in made our experience even more enjoyable. Thank you!

This place is so charming and delightful and spacious! The photos don’t do it justice. Nestled against a creek, fantastic wood burning stoves, glass windowed cozy nook to hang in…. Big social kitchen space! We cooked and caught up without a care in the world. Hot tub in the rain staring at the big mossy trees and listening to the creek. Grilled up some beer-can chickens on the bbq. I wore my pajamas the entire stay :) we are most definitely coming back. hEAVEN!

We came from four different states (NV, CA, UT, NY) to gather as a family and celebrate Christmas. The house was perfect for us. Each couple had their own bedroom and we used the hot tub, ping pong table, and game table. We absolutely loved the beautiful location. The kitchen was well-used as we all tried to outdo each other with our culinary (or non culinary) skills. We had a lovely time. Thank you.

This is a cozy cabin on the woods that was the perfect place for our week long visit. It is located near some wonderful wineries and restaurants. The grocery store is close by as well as a fantastic Patisserie. I would stay here every trip if I could.

Location was great. Host was very kind to let us check-in early. He also helped to provide recommendations about nearby restaurants. We were disappointed at the cleanliness of the space. There were cobwebs in the medicine shelves, hammock outside not usable because it was so dirty, cobwebs covering the front door upon arrival, empty cans in the backyard. We would've liked a nice seating area, either outdoors or indoors. Hot tub was nice to use. With some work, this property could be incredible, but sadly the price did not seem worth the experience.

Beautiful setting! Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, sitting outside by the creek, watching the deer and turkeys. Plenty of room inside for our family to play board games at 2 tables. The French bakery in town is awesome, as well as the back patio area at The Saloon. The owner is super responsive to any messages I sent him. We would love to return sometime and stay in the Winter.

For us, the real gem if this property was the creek. In June it was deep enough to swim around in and float. Relaxing in the pretty green area while floating in the creek was really special. The host was very responsive and was generous with us about check in times.

The home backs to a charming clearwater creek and the large deck affords a comfortable spot for family and friends to watch the ducks and listen to the flowing water. The house is spacious but retains a cozy feel. Lots of fun activities: pool, hot tub, pingpong, darts, and more. Wonderful property and easy drive to Glen Ellen village and Sonoma.

We had an amazing stay! The property managers were incredibly responsive and helpful. This property has plenty of room for 8 of us to stay comfortably and the property is perfectly tranquil. Centrally located to some of the best wine tasting regions, there was plenty of amazing wine, great food, and so much to learn. Highly recommend the Jack London Historic State Park right there in Glen Ellen!

The pictures do not do justice! We used this beautiful, privately situated casual and rustic home as home base for our family and friends to gather during the pre wedding and post wedding gatherings. All of the rooms are generously sized, both the common areas and the bedrooms. The house was super clean and the furniture and style was comfortable and casual. This home is great for a what we needed. The wedding venue Kunde Winery is only 5 minutes from this home. Not only was the setting beautiful and relaxing, but the location too was perfect for us. There was something for everyone to do at this house, in the rain or sun. Ping pong, hot tubbing and of course eating, drinking wine and watching some football too. (It was too chilly to use the pool, although the pool is very nice. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the indoor and outdoor areas. The kitchen is large and open, easy to cook, prep, and serve. We had a kick watching the turkeys, deer, goats and a few lizards that showed up on the warmer days. We would definitely stay here again. Staying at this home enriched our Kenwood/Sonoma vacation.

This is a lovely, peaceful home on a beautiful plot of land overlooking a babbling creek. Our kids were delighted by visits from deer and lizards and other wildlife, and the house was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. We all loved having a private hot tub and pool, which we used basically every day, although even on hot, sunny days the pool tended to remain bracingly cool. Some of the games could use updating -- the ping pong table, for instance, needed a new net -- and although there were plenty of extra towels, we couldn't find any spare sheets. These were relatively minor inconveniences however, and the owner was consistently and promptly responsive when we had questions or concerns. The location was an excellent base for exploring Sonoma and Napa counties.

Glen Ellen House
The house and property is beautiful and the location was perfect for us. We were a party of 4 adults, and enjoyed having the space to spread out as well as to be together. We enjoyed breakfast on the decks and afternoons at the pool. Great host. Highly recommend.

Awesome Place to Stay
This place was exactly how it was described and more! The pics of the deer outside, saw them every day; the babbling creek in the backyard, so peaceful and calming. Two of the rooms were very big and the other two were also a good size. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cups, even spices etc. Also, a big bonus is there were so many towels and extra blankets available. The property is quite large and you are able to find some solo space if needed. Def recommend and I plan on staying here again in the near future.

Napa house
The property manager was excellent. They had great communication with us and answered all questions promptly. The house was old and not greatly maintained. The ping pong table was not usable because it was so old and damaged. We did have a great time and the backyard was very beautiful.

Great stay by the creek!
This home was exactly what we were looking for! My family (parents and siblings, 8 couples altogether) had a fantastic stay. There was plenty to explore around the home, from the swimming pool deck to the creek to the hot spa underneath the oak trees to laying and relaxing on the hammock. The kitchen was a great size and we cooked fabulous meals to eat at the dining table. We did the walk the owner recommended (to the goats!) and it was wonderful. The home has a nice cabin feel and the outdoors made us feel like we were camping! It’s a great private gem in Glen Ellen close to wineries.
