The room was absolutely beautiful with much attention to detail from the fluffiest of white towels in a beautiful basket, to lovely toiletries, delicious branded hot chocolate and cookies, a bottle of chilled water and fresh milk in the fridge. Everything was so well thought and the staff were super helpful.

very nice room great welcome convenient location, breakfast very nice and good service.
bathroom was a bit "functional" but the room was designed for disabled access, so probably to be expected although not pointed out on booking. Also a bit noisy by the roadside and bed a bit narrow. Quite expensive room so expected a little more to be honest but it was a comfortable, friendly and clean experience all the same.
9.0
The location and the friendliness of staff.

The staff were friendly and efficient. The dinning room had a wonderful bookcase full of old books - it was fun to browse and read the books at breakfast. The bedroom was clean, spacious and bigger than we expected.

Room & food all really good .
Booked then problem with registered card (which got scammed so changed) so pub / booking .com cancelled. Had to rebook at a higher price . Would have thought a phone call would have been called for !!!!

Was quite loud at night. One member of staff was not particularly friendly on arrival.

Good position and food

Lovely village location, large off-road car park. Small shop about 10 mins walk away if you wanted any odds & ends.
Very friendly staff.
Loved all the historical aspects to the building.
Comprehensive menu for evening food, I really enjoyed my beef curry. Excellent full breakfast.
No blackout curtains, so very light in the bedroom from about 0545 hrs.
Bathroom - lights come on via a sensor - too bright if you have to get up for a nocturnal visit!

The manager seemed very stressed but the other staff were great

Friendly staff. Good breakfast
Evening meal. Main meal arrived minutes after starters finished showing signs of sitting under heat, obviously cooked too early and rushed out.
As a result we eat somewhere else the following evening. Disappointing.

Stayed with my family while visiting wider family in the area. Really lovely b&b / classic, country pub. Great location, fab breakfast. Staff were very accommodating, thank you for having us :)

Milk provided in fridge instead of those liittle plastic tubs. Well done. Lovely toiletries in bathroom. Breakfast was good. Good provision for vegan breakfast. Lovely vegan sausages. Mushrooms weren't great, but maybe because they were precooked and we didn't come to breakfast until 9 so probably sat around for a while.
mushrooms for breakfast

Nice breakfast, and okay if you have to be gluten free. Same goes for the evening meal.
Very comfortable and well equipped room.
Enjoyed the garden on a warm summer evening.
Easy car parking.
Nothing to dislike.

characterful and staff very friendly , attentive and went out of their way to accommodate us us for an evening meal when we hadn’t booked a table
bed was not very comfortable in the ground floor room but other rooms no complaints. it may be that the floor was a little uneven and the bed may have needed some levelling

Comfortable and spacious room. Varied and imaginative menu. Excellent service. Characterful, historic pub with a great pub atmosphere. Good choice of beers and wines. Good breakfast menu. Will return.
Not much to be critical of, but I missed kippers for breakfast!

A wonderful atmosphere, comfortable bedroom, friendly staff, excellent food. The best pub we've been to for a long time.
There was some traffic noise at night but it was hardly a problem

The Crown Inn has great real ales and lovely food, the rooms are beautifully decorated with individual touches and different charm to each one.

The young, evening bar staff were very friendly and cheerful
The evening meal was appalling- could have popped to Tesco and picked up a better quality of frozen food. The paragraph in the room info book - headed “Damages & breakages “ with the final sentence-“ additionally… extra charge for soiled bedding, towels, carpets, furnishings & decor” rather set the tone! We’re not fans of ordering breakfast before 9pm the previous evening especially as items were substituted without any explanation or apology at the breakfast table. I could go on but suffice to say that it was a very disappointing and expensive experience.

Good
Healthy bowl for breakfast too sweet, perhaps have three small pots with yoghurt, raspberry jus so person can add to taste
