About this cabin rental
Welcome to Wunineet which means "It is good" in Mohican. If your looking for a big and loud party house this place is not for you. If you desire to wake up to clean air and a peaceful cup of coffee as you sit by Clearwater Lake with Brant Lake only a 2 minute walk away, you found your place. Located on the North side of Brant Lake, Wunineet is on a 1/4 mile long picturesque lake only a short walk to the association beach on Brant Lake. Bring your boat!!! The association has a free boat launch for guests. The lofted 1000 SF cabin has a separate bedroom with a queen bed on the first floor, another queen bed in the loft. Also, a bonus room for one adult or 2 children over the porch that overlooks beautiful Clearwater Lake. Enjoy the 2 kayaks, rowboat and paddleboard right outside your door. Ideal kayaking for children because parents will see them wherever they roam. Also, if you never used a paddleboard, Clearwater Lake is perfect to learn on. I'm only looking for small families or quiet couples. Out of respect for the other association members (only 15), I do not allow large gatherings or more than a few visitors for the day. In addition, we are only 12 minutes off of Northway exit 25. 15 minutes to a grocery store, dollar store. restaurants, old fashion ice cream parlor and pharmacy. Lake George Village is 23 minutes, Great Escape 30 minutes, Bolton Landing 20 minutes, Hague (Northern LG) 10 minutes, and Saratoga 45 minutes away. An easy drive to all of those fun locations and after being with all of the tourists, you can go home to total peace and quiet. I cant wait to welcome you to Wunineet where my goal is to establish guests that treat it like their own and return for years to come. We are dog people so of course they are allowed if house trained, well behaved and friendly. 1 large or 2 small (under 20 lbs) dogs are welcome. Guests bring their own linens and towels. All kitchen dishes, pots pans and utensils are provided.

Nice comfortable cabin very quiet and peaceful, lake was small but pleasant. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful week at this cabin. The cabin overlooks a small lake in a quiet neighborhood. Our teenage sons enjoyed fishing, kayaking and paddleboarding and did not once complain about being bored. During our stay a huge storm hit causing a widespread power outage. The owner, Jeff brought us water and ice and hooked up a brand new generator to make us more comfortable. The power came back on several hours later and we enjoyed nice weather for the rest of our trip. I would highly recommend this property for any family looking for a quiet spot for a vacation!

We had a wonderful time in this cabin. The location is beautiful and the atmosphere is peaceful. Our teen loved having the upstairs to himself. Day trips to Lake George Village and Bolton Landing are super convenient and our host was attentive and thorough.

Cabin was more spacious than pictures relay. Perfectly quiet place and well-outfitted with everything we needed.
Owner was attentive which was much appreciated
We were in town for family reunion so didn’t cook much there. Bringing our own linens was inconvenient as we flew into NY, but a minor one at that. Would definitely like to stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at this lakeside cabin! Perfect for peace, quiet, and relaxation. My boys (ages 5 and 12) loved being right on the water to swim, fish, kayak, and rowboat! Plus, we were close enough to visit Lake George and Fort Ticonderoga. Had a great time! Highly recommend for a quiet retreat!

The cabin was comfortable for 2. View from the screen porch was excellent. Location was great for access to surrounding lakes. Interior as advertised. Minor lighting upgrades for the interior and paint the exterior.

The cabin has all you need to enjoy a relaxing week amd disconnect. We enjoyed fishing in the small lake, the screened in porch, and the outside of the cabin. The beds were comfortable snd it was nice to have cable and WiFi when it rained. The location was great for hiking at nearby lakes and ponds as well as hiking. Jeff, the owner, was very responsive and made sure we had all we needed to be comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was perfect. We wanted a week of peace and quiet to relax where we could hike around and kayak on the water and it was idyllic. The owner was great and communicated quickly with any questions we had and offered great things to do while there. The cabin had everything you would need to cook all meals and there were several grocery options. The beds were comfy and the porch was perfect for morning coffee.

Cozy rustic cabin with a beautiful view of the lake. Leaves were in full color and just breathtaking - even our teenage boys could appreciate the beauty! Checking in was super easy and the owner was generous to offer us the chance to check in early. Did not have to rush out at check out either which was nice. We took advantage of the kayaks that were there and the row boat for fishing. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this place for others to stay in the ADKs.

This place is stunning. We stayed from 8/13-8/20. We may have seen a total of 4 peoples the whole time we were at the cabin. It was just what we were looking for. It was quiet and peaceful and the views are wonderful. The view from the back porch was nothing but the beautiful lake. We saw a good variety of wildlife including a mom and baby deer , blue heron ,otter, lots of turtles and fish and my favorite was the Belted Kingfisher bird. If you are looking for a very quiet , secluded and beautiful place then I highly recommend this cabin on Lake Brant.

This cabin is definitely a little rustic but absolutely amazing. It’s in a wonderful location with so much to do. Jeff is super communicative and really puts a lot of thought into making sure you have the best stay possible. We can’t wait to go back.

This was our families first trip staying in Brant Lake and we would definitely come back again! The cottage had plenty of space and was in a nice quiet location. We all loved the screened in porch! It had a beautiful view that we enjoyed all our meals at. The lake was perfect for swimming, clear and clean. Jeff was super helpful with all questions and making sure we were taken care of during our stay! We had a perfect week with lots of memories to take back with us. I would highly recommend spending some time at this peaceful and relaxing cottage.

Perfect Location - Beautiful and Tranquil
Rustic lofted cabin with large screened in porch located on a beautiful pond with easy walking access to Brant Lake. Best of both worlds for kayaking. The cabin is on a private road, in a wooded area, the neighborhood blissfully quiet. Watching the sun set while kayaking on the pond is magical. There is a simple kitchen, electric stove, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker and large outdoor grill. All you will need on vacation. The caring host provides fishing stuff, use of 2 kayaks, a paddleboard and rowboat. You will not have to leave the cabin, but the surrounding area has lots to see, easy drive to many trailheads and several other lakes. The community is charming, with a weekly farmers market, weekly food trucks, local craft beer bar with live music, and a 24 hour family run farm stand that works on the honor system. This charming cabin was a perfect escape. If you want to avoid crowds of tourists, this is the place.

Fantastic family get away
Our visit to the cabin was just what we needed. We relaxed and enjoyed the views of Clearwater Lake from the screened in porch both morning with our coffees and evenings with our wine. Jeff was a wonderful host that was there when you had questions and had thoughtful suggestions. It was close enough to Lake George and other area attractions that we could visit for the day and come home to peace and serenity at the cabin. Our son caught his first fish and was beyond excited. Our daughter loved the loft bedroom. The dog loved exploring and peeking out of the lower windows on the porch. We could not have asked for more. Overall a wonderful, relaxing and very quiet stay. We will definitely be returning ! Thank you Jeff for being a great host and sharing your cabin with our family.

My husband and I rented from 7/1/22 to 7/9/22. It was awesome, very quiet and relaxing - even saw a Blue Heron catch a frog for dinner while we were on the enclosed porch. The rowboat and kayaks allowed us to take a spin around the lake. My pups loved, watching the little red squirrels. There was a lot provided just in case we forgot something or other. Loved, loved that you (Jeff) provided information regarding the surrounding area. It made it, so much easier.
I would love to add a picture of the Blue Heron, but VRBO won’t let me - sorry.

Special gem
Property was amazing. Great place to go and get away from it all. The boys loved fishing up, and having kayaks already there was a big plus. Wish we could have stayed longer.. Jeff is a great host and was there if we needed him. Hope to go next year, check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Comfortable, peaceful cabin by the lake
This cabin was just what my husband and I needed. It's small, but well furnished and comfortable. Honestly, it had me at "screened-in porch," and I spent lovely mornings there with my coffee and evenings with a beer and a book. Convenient to bigger lakes, hiking, and restaurants, but tucked away in a quiet corner of little Clear Water Lake - best of both worlds! Jeff was a great host, making sure we knew how to check in and out, and checking up to see if we needed anything. (Just a little note - there is no oven in the kitchen, but the toaster oven is large enough for an apple crisp, really not a big deal.)

beautiful inside an clean. very quiet as there were not many there this time of year. small pond rt in back to sit quietly.
only problems were not told we would have no cell service for miles unless you got lucky., we thought it was a lake but that was actually down across the street so kayaks were there but not worth the effort to paddle a few hundred feet. Fishing was spotty but were within an hour of lake George and other towns. Just know were you're going while you have gps..if it stops the twists and turns can have you driving all night!
Host was great though and very helpful. I you want deep woods serenity..this is it!

This quaint rustic cabin on Clearwater pond is 5 minutes away from Brant Lake. We had a fantastic experience!
The owner contacted me very quickly with details on the cabin and surrounding area. We booked a Thursday through Sunday trip and he reached out and offered coming up on Wednesday since he had no one else booked. We graciously accepted and we were glad we did! Waking up and enjoying a cup of coffee while overlooking the campsite and pond from the screened in porch was a great way to start the vacation!
The kids loved the loft bedrooms and the 1st floor bedroom was spacious and neat.
Loved the camps floor plan and feel.
Rustic, relaxing and clean!
The paddle board was a huge hit. Our daughter spent hours on it!
My 7yr old son caught (and released) his first large mouth bass on his own, and now he’s a pro fisherman. 😂
Between the kayaking and hikes around the area, we really never had to venture to far.
Would absolutely book with him again!

Recently purchased and in the process of more upgrades, this cabin in the woods is the perfect place for peace and tranquility. Lake is tiny and quiet. Coffee on the porch in the morning watching the fog lift is so relaxing. Lots of outside seating and a fire pit. Located next to the lake's public beach, but no one used it but us the week we were there. Convenient clothes line right off the porch for hanging wet suits and towels. Kitchen is bigger than it looks in the pictures, but no oven. Cook top, toaster oven and microwave made it workable. Owner mentions bringing linens, don't forget hand towels for the bathroom and kitchen towels and dish clothes. Some staples left behind by previous guests. Well equipped kitchen. Owner is great to work with. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to a future visit to see what new improvements Jeff makes.

If you're looking for a no-fuss, easy does it place right on the water, where your dog will be welcomed and there's not much to do but maybe a little fishing, writing, bbq-ing, sitting and relaxing around a campfire - this is the place for you. The best part of the day is the early morning and sitting out on the enclosed screened porch with a nice cup of coffee and listening to nature wake up. Definitely recommend this place for couples who just want to decompress from computers and corporate life. Suggest bringing that book you wanted to read (there's a hammock!). If you don't mind "rustic" and no rush - this place is for you!
