Welcome to Lena Cabin at Wauhatchie Woodlands, a Timberroot Rustic Retreat. During your stay, you will have access to a range of amenities, including a private hot tub, furnished back deck, fire pit, covered front porch with a charcoal grill, and a charming space surrounded by nature. Lena Cabin sleeps up to six guests and features a main bedroom, built-in bunk beds, and a sleeping loft and is equipped with everything you need to make the most of your time in Chattanooga.

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance. This was a fun stay in Chattanooga. 1st time in a "small" house, but it was comfortable and enjoyable. Would certainly stay again if my travels brings me back to the area!

Very peaceful

The cabin was very clean. Well stocked and well decorated. Could use more lights out back of the cabin. The road down to the playground is very steep. My dad wasn’t able to get up or down without the help of a vehicle. They changed our cabin last minute. The other one would have been better because it was on flat ground for my 5 year old and dad. But overall, I would stay here again.

It is super clean and in the lookout mountain! Air is so fresh! You just need 2 mins drive to access the ruby falls. And Chattanooga is such a nice and small city. You only need to drive about 10 mins to downtown and access all the awesome foods and bars! The Hot tub in the picture looks small but it is actually big enough to hold 4 people! It is so enjoyable to watch the green forest, breath the fresh air, hear the birds' singing and stay in the warm water! I really recommend this place to stay!

Loved the proximity to Chattanooga and hiking trails on Lookout Mountain. Much better option than a hotel because we had a hot tub, green space, a fire pit, and woods for us and the kids to explore. We stayed in the Lena cabin. It was great having a bigger place than a hotel so that we could have better "down time". Nice to have a full kitchen to work with. We saved money on meals vs. staying in a hotel, because we were able to do our own dinner (hot dogs and smores over the fire pit) and breakfast (stove top, oven, toaster, coffee maker, fridge, etc.). All in all, a great value and great place. Would stay in this community again, and the Lena cabin again.

This little cabin in the woods was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for! We chose this over a hotel and couldn’t have been happier! It was super close to Ruby Falls and Chattanooga. Quiet, very clean, well stocked, private, comfortable, and was in such a neat setting at the base of Lookout Mountain. The hosts were very pleasant, easy to get a hold of, and provided a quick response. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub, loft, and playground. I appreciated all of the sleeping spaces that gave everyone room to spread out. Wish we could have stayed longer! We’ll definitely be booking again when we’re in the area!

Wow! If I would have know how amazing this little cabin and area was I would have stayed for days! It was so perfect! It was easy to enter, and clean on arrival! The loft was adorable and the kids loved it. They roamed the area and played at the play ground. Instructions for leaving were easy as well and communication was awesome with the owners! We will be back and will tell our friends travelling that way it is a must!

Hands down the cabin was our kid’s favorite part of our family vacation. Everything you need was provided. Including extra towels for the hot tub and fire wood for the fire pit! This cabin is right next to the train track, but I am a very light sleeper and the train did not bother me. Beds and pillows were so comfortable and the house was very clean. Super close to Walmart and Publix. Only took us about 10 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go. My husband and I will be back for a getaway without the kids. Great for a family trip or romantic getaway.

This cabin was such a Great Place to stay! Right at the base of Lookout Mountain! (Ruby Falls and Rock City) And close to downtown restaurants! So we’ll appointed and clean. Free firewood for your outside campfire!! Brand new hot tub!! Right next to train tracks but was not an issue with sleep being interrupted. We never heard any pass by at night. Only a couple of time during the day while we were there. Would stay here again!!

Cabins are 1st class. Very clean with everything you need. The staff I came into contact with were all very friendly. My only issue is that nowhere in the property description did it mention that this cabin was within 100' of a busy railroad track. It really wasn't that bad as it was more of a siding where loads were parked and then moved at various times. The trains never went more than 10 mph and there were no horns blowing. Still, you could definitely hear them inside the cabins at night. We have a very loud fan that we travel with and that took care of most of it. All in all though, it was pleasant stay and very close to just about everything in town.

This location was perfect! We loved the playground and the fire bit! The cabin was a fun experience and SO clean, it fell almost brand new! We loved having the outdoorsy mountain feel but still being within minutes of downtown. We would recommend this stay to anyone and are looking forward to staying here again next time we visit the area!

This little cabin was very cool. Arriving after dark it was a little hard to find. I was also surprised to hear and see a train rolling by not far from the cabin. I thought this was pretty cool but if I had had my kids with me I would have liked to know about trains before booking. It'll be really nice once the hot tubs are in!
