About this cabin rental
One of our reviews
My family of 9 stayed at 25 Pines property for a total of 7 nights during the COVID19 pandemic. The property manager, Paula, was communicative and quickly responsive regarding what was expected of us to abide by Maine’s current travel restrictions. The home itself was very clean upon arrival and check-in was seamless and convenient. Location was perfect - nestled in a quiet and shaded neighborhood, we felt very relaxed and took advantage of the opportunity to play cards on the covered deck and steam a lobster dinner to enjoy on the picnic table. It is a short drive (less than 10-15 minutes) to the sights of Bar Harbor, entrance to Acadia National Park, and grocery store. I also extend thanks to the property owner, Mr. Douglas, for stopping by to ask if he could take any trash out for us. He was kind enough to tell us of a good place to swim at Echo Lake. I don’t think we could have picked a better place to enjoy our first vacation to Maine. We had a great experience from start to finish and would recommend 25 Pines to anyone considering renting this property.

Our family of 4 adults and 4 children had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin home close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The home has plenty of space for everyone and a kitchen with more than enough plates, utensils, and cookware. The hosts even had a pack and play for our infant to sleep in comfortably. Firewood was already placed in the firepit when we arrived so we could enjoy an evening around the campfire. The location was perfect and we would definitely return for another stay the next time we are in the Bar Harbor area.

We loved our stay here - house was clean and cute and a terrific location. We had 9 people - ages 8 to 71. This place was a great value, compared to other rental properties in the area. Highly recommend! We would definitely stay here again.

We can't say enough about our wonderful stay here. The location, the hosts, and the house itself were all fantastic. If we return to Bar Harbor again (we hope to!) - we'll definitely try and book here! Thank you again!

This is a great home with a large family. Plenty of room and plenty of rooms. Here are a few of the quirky things:
1. The primary room with the king-sized bed is upstairs but no bathroom. No hand soap was provided for the two bathrooms or the kitchen. The lighting throughout is very dim. The dining area is a bar-like table so no place to play games. (we LOVE playing games). With all of this being said, Susan was awesome. She was very nice and extremely accommodating.

This is the perfect house to visit Acadia, very close to the Hull’s cove visitor Center and the ocean (there is a rocky beach at the end of the street). The house was very clean and had plenty of room for our two families. Sand beach was the perfect place to swim in the Ocean.

This was a perfect home for our large family. It is spacious, clean and offers all the amenities we needed. The location has lots of privacy and outdoor space for campfires each night. It's a short walk to the ocean and an easy drive to nearby restaurants and downtown Bar Harbor abd Acadia. Our hosts were wonderful and accomodating. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maine.

We had a wonderful time at the Lovely Cabin. We comfortably fit 7 adults with room to spare. We were so close to everything including Acadia National Park. The hosts were so accommodating (and their restaurant Mainely Meats was one of the best BBQs we have been too). Thanks for the wonderful stay!!

We stayed at the property with 2 other couples. Plenty of room for everyone and all the comforts of home. Property and cabin were very clean. Very friendly owner lives next door and greeted us after we settled in. Loved having the firepit and picnic table available to sit back and relax at in the evening. Plenty of downed firewood on the property. Very safe location on heavily wooded property. Just minutes away from Bar Harbor and Acadia. Great place for friends and families to stay. Highly recommend to others.

We stayed at the cabin in June 2023. My family (4ppl) and close friends (5ppl) stayed at this cabin for a week long vacation. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Cabin was very clean. Property is approx 10mins from Bar Harbor and 5mins to the Hulls Cove Entrance to Acadia National Park. It was perfect for us. We spent most of our time in the park, siteseeing, hiking, and having picnics and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Would absolutely reccommend this place. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your cabin.

Our family loved everything about this property. Kids loved to walk down to the bay and throw rocks in it everyday. Secluded yet close to everything. Susan and Doug were very helpful and responded quickly. Highly recommend

Loved location and all of the bedrooms. We had 6 adults over 60 so would have been nice to have better mattresses and pillows on some of the beds. We wished there were blinds on some of the windows, a few more chairs in living room and some spices in the kitchen. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. Hosts were great. Location was great. Thank you!

I can’t say enough good things about this property; the cleanliness, the location, the ample room, and the kindness of the owners! My family and I had a wonderful time, and highly recommend this property!

This house had plenty of space for our family of eleven. There was plenty of down wood to gather up for a fire in the firepit. We had a fire nearly every night. The owner was very responsive to any needs. She even went out and got us a filet knife! The only thing that could have been better was a few more towels and wash cloths. With our large group, we were constantly washing the ones we had every day so everybody could shower. It was located in a great location, close enough to all attractions that mount desert island had to offer.

House is in a great location, easy to get to the park and Bar Harbor, but quieter than staying in town would be. The property owners have their house on the same property, so are close if there are problems. We did not have any problems while there. I would stay again.

laid back but if we needed anything Susan came through! Our family enjoyed the short walk to the water. Even though it was tricky getting to the water we went everyday to find treasures! We were close to most attractions! It was a cool week but it did not deter us from exploring!

One of the best vacations ever!
The cabin is John Candy worthy of the “Great Outdoors”. Very comfortable and we immediately felt at home. Plenty of room for us plus some and all the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. The only think I would change is I would bring a mattress pad next time as the bed was too firm for me but my husband loved it.

Great trip
We took our entire family and spent the week. The cabin was very spacious, clean and suited our needs perfectly. The location was very close to Bar Harbor while still far enough away to avoid the tourists. Communications with the owners was prompt and accurate.

Great cabin in a prime location
This is a nice cabin in a private, wooded location away from the traffic and bustle of Bar Harbor. It is neat, clean and well equipped. We were close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia NP that we could plan multiple trips during the day and come back to the cabin for meals/rest. Susan was a great host and was always available throughout our trip. Highly recommended!

Wonderful time in a wonderful place
Thank you Susan for the amazing time we had in a house! We were 4 adults and 5 kids, including infants. The house was clean and equipped with everything we might need during our stay. The location is perfect. 5 minutes walk to the ocean shore, short drive to BarHarbor or to Acadia state park. Mr and Mrs Douglas were very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back next year!

Wonderful spot to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia
We reunited with family and local friends at this lovely cabin. The house was much bigger than expected and has a great outdoor space for children to play. The owners were so kind and even offered an extra scooter for the kids and help starting the fire after a few wet days. The cabin has everything you need and more. We loved exploring the shoreline in walking distance. Highly recommend this property!

Great country home near Acadia National Park
We were very excited and happy about our stay at this cabin-like house! The decor was like a cabin (tongue and groove walling), hard wood floors, etc.... but with modern kitchen, laundry and baths (2 full baths). The location is within 1.5 miles of Hull Cove entrance to Acadia, and only 3-4 miles from downtown bar harbor. Susan (manager) was easily approachable and work quickly to review and address our one small issue with a light). The house was nestled into some woods in a relaxed and wooded neighborhood. It was a short walk to the ocean too. Would be happy to stay there again.
