We enjoyed our stay so much the first time, we came back again (see July 2022) for previous review.
Everything was excellent again.
Thank you.

This property was everything it promised and more. A short stay this time, but already booked to return. Perfect location

Tides Reach is the perfect location for exploring the Isle of Man.
Spotlessly clean, neat and tidy with everything you could possibly need for your self catering stay.
Very thoughtfully prepared for the arrival of the next guests with fresh milk, butter, cheese and bread, as well as biscuits, tea and coffee bags, sugar, salt and pepper.
The only tiny negative for us was the softness of the bed, mattress topper & pillows. This is obviously a personal thing so I haven't knocked anything off the score.
Excellent well stocked Co-op an 8 minute walk away, and The Shore Hotel at Gansey (30 mins walk or few mins drive away) is the perfect place to eat out. Beautiful views and delicious, reasonably priced food. The service was also lovely and friendly and welcoming. We would recommend you book though a table to avoid disappointment.

Immaculately presented property, in the location that we needed, with every conceivable necessity and more. Highly recommended.

A lovely sea-side apartment. Spotlessly clean and modern. Owners were super helpful and we appreciated the complimentary Manx butter and cheese!

Whilst property looked good on arrival, no heating or hot water for 24 hours.
Mattresse very thin and cheap couldn't sleep on it had to use sofa bed, bins not emptied daily, kettle ridiculous faulty plugs in kitcken to use toaster.
Accused when left of breaking toilet lid and leaving toilet brush covered in feace and smoking in there we smoked out side it must have blown in as it was windy. AVOID THIS APARTMENT.
Lots of noise above, would never stay there again we both come back with soar throats due to no ventilation only a little window in bedroom Avoid and public walk way outside so no privacy. AVOID

The property was all that was listed but as an older couple a bit too hi tec as struggled to work appliances and couldn’t find cutlery drawer , very well hidden also not your usual kettle! Also you can hear noises from people living above quite loudly from 7.00 in the morning but a lovely location and everyone very friendly,we did ring to locate cutlery drawer and was really helpful and sorted it for us .

A well appointed property ideal for two people. The location in Port Saint Mary is very pretty and is ideal for exploring the coast on foot or by car. The local Coop has everything needed for self catering and there is a fish and chip shop (excellent and you can eat in), pizzeria and chinese take away (also good). The Manx steam railway stops at Port Saint Mary and the station is about 1 km from the property. Although High Street is restricted parking we had no problem parking on the Underway about 15 m from the property. All in all a good place to stay and explore the Isle of Man.

Well appointment , well equipped in a quite and peaceful location .would want to stay again as enjoyed our stay there.

The apartment is modernised to a high and professional standard with innovative "natural daylight" skylights in the kitchen area. Everything you require for day to day living is provided. Not mentioned on the website was the complimentary milk, butter, cheese and bread. So you won't starve if you arrive too late for the shops. A pleasant view of the harbour from the patio. I only scored 4 for comfort as the bed was a little soft, personal preference only. I only scored 4 for location as the harbour was only visible from the patio. Overall, an excellent base for exploring the south of the island. Would definitely stay again.

Great location, immaculate property and amenities.

It is a well equipped modern apartment which was immaculate. The location is good but note that the street parking closest to the property is limited to 2 hours during the day. There is very little natural light in the apartment so had to have the bright lights on whenever we were in there. Initially we thought we would be likely to return to Tides Reach but our view on that did change. The downside for us, apart from the lack of natural light, was the early morning noise from upstairs. Not ideal when you are on holiday.
I might still recommend the property to others because of its location & cleanliness etc. but I would also point out the issues that we had with it.

The apartment was modern and very clean, it had everything we needed for our weeks holiday. The mattress was a little soft for us and the bed lights very bright however these observations did not effect the wonderful holiday we had.

This is our second time at Tides Reach and it never disappoints!
We had a lovely time and relaxed in the tranquil area of Port st Mary.
The apartment was clean, fresh and had all the modern amenities, we had fabulous weather where we could sit outside the apartment and enjoy the view of the harbour or walk along the beach or cliffs..
The bus service, local shops and pub are excellent!
The host were lovely and very informative and made us feel most welcome
We would highly recommend this apartment for two and we will look forward to returning again ✨

Great stay
The property was very clean and newly fitted with all modern amenities. Smart tv and wifi were excellent. The kitchen was good and there was a breakfast bar to eat meals and a dish washer.
It was lovely to have such easy access to the harbour area and it was also only a short walk (10 minutes) to the large sandy beach. The property was quiet despite having the benefit of being near to both.
There was a small outside area which is good for taking in the sun.
There was ample street parking (and a car park) nearby so that was never an issue. There was a small Coop in Port St Mary, but Port Erin is a 10 minute drive and has a much larger supermarket.
Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Sneaking away in plain sight
A brilliant little nook hideaway, a stones throw from the harbour, small walk to the beach, pub and shops.
Comfortable, cozie, homely.
A brilliant stay for 2. We didn’t want to leave.
Welcoming hosts and lots to explore.
Highly recommended.

Tides Reach
A great location for walking.
The property is very well equipped and the refurbishment is clearly recent and done with taste. We have given 3/5 for comfort because the bed is far too soft for us.
Attention if you have a car! As per the website parking is available on the High Street but, be warned that High Street is a disc parking zone for 2 hours only between 9 & 6,

Excellent apartment in great location
We had a wonderful stay at Tides Reach. Everything was impeccable and worked well and the situation right next to the beautiful and peaceful harbour was just great. Excellent restaurants, local pub and walks also. All good - thanks.

Beautiful, modern apartment.
Tides Reach is a lovely compact modern apartment with beautifully tiled floors in central area of Port St Mary. Within easy reach of good restaurants and a very nice, friendly pub,The Albert just down the road.
Very quiet even though it is situated near the main road.
There is a nice seating patio area outside if staying in the warmer weather and a very useful rotary line if you wanted to do any washing. A very short walk down the alley way to the really pretty quayside, and if able to continue there is access to lots of beautiful Coastal walks.
Ideal for couples to have a little get away treat.

Sonnymoon holiday the day after my son’s wedding
We had the most wonderful holiday at Tides Reach, the apartment was very well equipped with everything you needed, it was very clean and a fabulous location, the high street had the co-op, fish and chip shop, Chinese takeaway, Indian restaurant and a highly recommended fish restaurant called The Fishery which was delightful and the pub The Albert was too.
We had a boat trip to the calf of man which was a great day out if you like walking, and the local bus service is extremely good too.
Also when we arrived at the apartment we was pleasantly surprised that the owners had left a welcome pack, which was greatly appreciated!
We would love to stay at Tides Reach again!

Great Stay, lovely apartment
Everything in the apartment was clean and very well presented. It’s close to all shops in port at Mary and not far at all from some nice sights in the south. The view from the patio was also very lovely.

Beautiful little place
This is a lovely modern property done to a high standard. Has everything that you need. My only issue was the overly bright lighting especially in the lounge area

Excellent!!
I was very impressed with 'Tides Reach' It was spotlessly clean, immaculately presented, superbly equipped with top quality fittings and furnishings. The owners Robert & Cat went out of their way to help when required. I was pleasantly surprised to find perishable items had been provided, bread, butter, cheese & milk which was very much required as I was isolating after arrival. Robert even brought a newspaper the next day. The location is excellent and the outdoor space very practical. Very importantly the Albert Hotel is less that a 2 minute walk and I now know this is one of the best pubs on the island!! I will definitely return to 'Tides Reach' !!

Stylish stay in Port St Mary
Brand new appartment close to the harbor in Port St Mary. The place is far above usual standards regarding furniture, equipment in the kitchen and lay-out. Very tasteful interior design, sufficient space for up to 2 people. Sunny terrace in front of the flat, walking distance to coffee shop, supermarket and local pub/restaurants. Will definitely come back!
