Crashing ocean waves, windswept dune grass, and the soft golden sand of Rockaway Beach are right outside your back door at this oceanfront home near the very center of town. It's a beachfront setting you won't soon forget, whether you're planning a summer of boogie boarding and beachcombing or a cozy winter of storm-watching by the fireplace.
As you step inside and pass through the hallway on the ground floor, you'll come into an open kitchen, dining space, and living room where large picture windows frame the ocean and the beach just outside. It's a great space for flipping pancakes and scrambling eggs in the morning - with the kitchen offering every essential appliance, plentiful cabinet space, and a dishwasher for easy clean-up - and sitting down to eat with a view of the ocean at the kitchen table or the window-side dining table. Head out the back door to savor your coffee on the oceanfront deck, or hop down to the beach for a invigorating morning stroll or swim. When the chill of the water gets the best of you, you can come back up to the house to toss your swimsuits in the laundry room, set up a board game at the table, or pile on the sofas and armchairs in the living room with the gas fireplace toasting your toes. A selection of VHS and DVD movies are even supplied for movie nights on the cable-equipped flatscreen TV in the living room.
At night, there are four bedrooms to choose from, including a queen bedroom back towards the entrance on the ground floor. Upstairs are three more bedrooms - an oceanfront master bedroom with a king-size bed and a plush sleeper sofa, a queen bedroom, and a bedroom with a twin-over-full bunk bed and a twin bed with a trundle. There's a full bathroom on each floor as well.

Everything about the house, location and my stay was outstanding.

My family and I absolutely loved this place. There was a very cozy, nostalgic vibe. We all agreed that it felt like visiting your coastal grandma. The views were amazing, beds were comfy, plenty of extra bedding and towels. We had an incredible weekend and will definitely book again next year.

The ocean view was PERFECT! Loved the house, had a very cozy feel. Stocked with most everything you would need when it came to the kitchen. Had a large family gathering/dinner and found everything I needed to cook a 17lb rib eye roast with all of the fix-in's. Would definitely book this gem again!

The view was perfect and the price was fair. It's an older house, with some deferred maintenance, but clean. The house needs new mattresses-anyone staying more than a night or two, be prepared for a backache. And for such a stunning view, I was surprised at how badly aged &/or damaged the upstairs main bedroom windows were.

We use to rent this home all the time before Vacasa took it over. I can't tell you how many times. We absolutely love it. You can't beat the location and view. You can walk to anything in town and the beach is easy access. The house is very well equipped. The house hosts many people and has the towels, dishes and bedding to support a crowd. I do bring my own big pots though. I need a big pot to cook soup for 12 people. The water pressure is excellent, there are grab bars for us older folks and many more amenities. I do miss the personalized service from the old managers though. We did all the laundry and dishes except for one load of dishes and 2 loads of laundry. We leave the houses we rent in shape so the house cleaning people do not have to take the long time to do these jobs.

Very cozy home with gorgeous ocean views. Perfect location, friendly atmosphere. Very relaxing.

Great beach access and just two blocks into town. Fireplace didn’t work while we were there and we weren’t notified about it until we were on our way. Would have been nice when the power went out during a storm but overall it was a good experience.

View is fantabulous. House was very clean and had plenty of soft fluffy towels. Lots of safety rails (for us old folks) Furniture is mostly comfy. Plenty of kitchen utensils etc. Will definitely keep in our list of houses to rent in the coming years. We are a group of gals who have gathered for a beach vacation for 20+ years and usually go somewhere different each year.

The house has a good sized kitchen area and living room with plenty of seating. It is well stocked with dishes glasses oft every type of drink, and utensils (silverware and cooking utensils). There is a good sized bedroom on the first floor. Upstairs are the master bedroom with a view of the ocean, a large room with bunk beds (2 sets), and a smaller bedroom for 2. There are 2 bathrooms, one on each floor. The deck off the living room was a good place to watch the ocean or have conversations. There is access to the beach, though you do have to climb over sone rocks (not hard to do unless you have mobility issues). It was just a very comfortable house in which to enjoy the beach.

Excellent spot. On the beach and close to town.
Left front burner does not work on stove and no dish washer soap was there. All else great.

This home needs a little maintenance and a good clean, but the view of the ocean is super. The beds are comfortable.
The home is just steps from the beach. Be aware that one must descend a few boulders in order to reach the sand. Might be difficult for older people.

Very pleased. My first VRBO experience. Will be using them again.

The location directly on the beach perfect. The home was very clean and had all needed amenities. The view through the living area when we first walked in took my breath away. There are large rocks needed to climb to access ocean so would not be easily accessible at home front for mobility impaired, otherwise perfect place. We had 12 stay and all slept comfortably.

You could not ask for a better view of the ocean. We enjoyed our visit very much. Grandkids got to know what a VCR was. We had a great time.

The Hideout for a Beach-out
If you are willing to settle for old-time, rather old-fashioned cozy comfort (this is not for someone who needs/wants modern up-to-date appliances, furniture, etc.) for an absolutely stellar view of the beach and the ocean waves and a beach vacation experience bar none, this is your place. It was surely ours. We couldn't have asked for more. My mother, who is 92, and I (late 60's) could not get down over the protective rock barrier in front, but my kids and grandkids had no problems skedaddling over them any time and were on the beach at every opportunity. The stellar view allowed my mother, who has always loved the beach, to sit and watch the waves come in and out for hours from a comfortable chair in the living room. When the weather cooperated, there's a public beach access only 3-4 blocks away that we were able to navigate my mother down for actual beach time as well. From oldest to youngest, we all loved our time spent here! We surely hope to get back.

Lovely, not fancy but just right beach house
This is a great house for a group that enjoys sharing the living room and kitchen together. Nothing extra or fancy, but clean, beautiful view, great electric fireplace.

Lovely Thanksgiving stay
My family has been coming to the Oregon coast for Thanksgiving for 20 years. We enjoyed staying right on the ocean in this comfortable and well- supplied house. It had everything we need for a wonderful holiday!

The Hideout
The property is a bit aged but so are most of us that stayed there. We found this home to be absolutely delightful! Watching the waves right outside the window and just steps to the beach. My 82 year old parents said they haven't slept so well in a very long time. The washer was out of service and the coffee pot does not work (carafe must have been broken and not replaced). But there is a wonderful bakery a couple blocks away so we grabbed a couple lattes and a cinnamon roll. We are already planning our next trip.

The home was great location! It is dated, but very clean! Would highly recommend this house! We will be back for sure.

We’ll equipped home - plenty of towels, dinnerware, bedrooms, ocean view.

Insufficient supplies
The location was great. The house was old and in desperate need of upgrades, but it was what I would expect for the price. In renting a house, though, I would expect there to be things like dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and even toilet paper. We needed to go out and purchase all of these things. Also, I called the management company before checkin with a question and the representative said I would get a return phone call. I got the return call, alright, but it was 2 days later and at 6:30am while on my vacation.

Great stay!
We had a great stay, the house was super clean, right on the beach, and wasn't far from stores and gift shops.

Good for a group but bring supplies
We had 13 people stay at the house for 4 nights and were pleased that there were ample towels, dishes and chairs for that number of people. We loved being so close to the beach - just a short walk down some large rocks on the hillside - which were a bit difficult for seniors or little ones to manage. We were disappointed that the paper goods and consumables supplied were minimal. No paper napkins were provided and we ran out of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap and laundry soap and had to go to the store to replenish. It would be nice if the description listed all of the items in the kitchen (blender, electric griddle, etc.) so we would have known not to bring those. A new can opener is needed!

Nice, but...
As described, but carpet is terribly worn, and several mini blinds need to be replaced. Staircase seems to be rather steep. Beautiful ocean view!
