Disappointing

30 minute walk down hill to the beach. €12.97 for a taxi back from the beach. The taxi service in Calheta is poor and buses are non existent so it would be better to have a car.

The apartment does not have a kitchen which we expected it to have. There is a fridge and a microwave. If you have a microwave meal, you will need to wash the dishes and cutlery in the bathroom sink. The only window that you can see out of has cleaners and other people on holiday walking directly past it. If you want privacy you will need to keep the curtain closed so you have no windows to look out of. We stayed 4 nights in one Sunset Star apartment and 2 nights in this one. There is a huge difference in the quality of the apartments so if you have the option, book the one that is more expensive. After our 4 night stay, we were asked by the host to leave the accommodation at 12pm and wait 2 hours for the other apartment to be ready. Fortunately, the cleaners were much more helpful and cleaned the apartment that we were moving into first so that we could move from one apartment to the other at 12pm.

Located uphill away from the beach and marina. €12.97 for a taxi from the beach to the apartment. 30 minute walk down hill to get to the beach.

The taxi service in Calheta is poor so it would be better to have a car if staying here.

Great! Nélia was so helpfull! The bed was nice and the view was lovely :)

Everything was lovely! Nélia was really kind. I left something and she took the effort to send it back to me to the Netherlands!

Well equipped kitchen, there are no assigned parking slots but you can easily park close to apartment. Amazing host

Fantastic stay in Calheta

Nelia was a great host. Beautiful balcony with great sea view. Great location for exploring the west part of island.

Bed was a little hard.

Amazing view

The view was amazing. We enjoyed the balcony with wine and watched sunset. There was everything we need in the kitchen and it was easy to park near hotel. The location was good and easy to access restaurants and supermarkets.

Bed was a little old and not smooth night. (Not a home bed, but what we can say only for few days) Apartman on the hill => take good engine car

Nice view and location, pretty cheap accommodation. Some kitchen utensils.

Bedroom window wasn’t secure and wouldn’t lock - reported to the agent. Beds were a little hard but that’s personal preference. TV didn’t have many channels to watch. It was a little cold and no heater provided. was difficult washing dishes in the bathroom sink and perhaps a plastic bowl could be provided to make this easier.

Views from the window. Good spot away from traffic and noise. Easy check in. Everything spotless clean. Spacious

Great view from small balcony (sunset over sea) all required equipment was there, good location - couple of shops and caffes nearby (5 minutes walk). Close to the beach and bigger supermarket (5 minutes drive) Close to main road (3 minutes to junction)

Is a fair quality for the price. No negative points (except some moskitos) to be honest.

Calm area, free (max 3 cars) and payable (12+ places) parking in front, staff very welcoming and available to sort things out. Extremely clean property.

Make sure to check in advance that what you see in the photos is what you really expect. Some apartments don't have a kitchen for example. It may be that the furniture is not that new.

Exceptional

Very nice and clean apartment, well equipped kitchen. We rented a car for a whole stay so access to the free car park was a big benefit for us, location is also a good place to start trips in all directions. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony were also a plus.

Good value for simple accommodation

Nelia our host was wonderful. Location was good for easy walk to grocery and pharmacy and a bit of a longer but safe and nice walk to beach. Also an easy walk to a couple of restaurants for a café and the local bakery was also close. The apartment is spacious and clean.

Beds were quite uncomfortable. The window without screen was open before we arrived so I think mosquitoes had already gotten in. The kitchen is ok but could use a little more cooking ware. (maybe most people aren't cooking here?). The communication with Booking.com response time could have been quicker.

Really nice

The view is really relaxing, having a parking at the door was very convenient as well.

I didn’t pay attention while booking this apartment and didn’t realise that there was no kitchen. I didn’t read it carefully and assumed by the pictures that there was a kitchen there but ended up to book the only place without kitchen.
