My brother (87) and I (79) rented the property as a base to attend the 200th anniversary of the Gatenby family. It was an excellent location in terms of access to central Launceston’s shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking on the street outside (free between 5 p.m.and 9 a.m. and a parking station opposite. Only 2 apartments so no noise from neighbours, although the site above a bar was not ideal on Friday or Saturday nights for elderly guests. Overall a very enjoyable accommodation experience.

The property was clean and had all that we needed. There was an issue with a limited supply of toilet paper, but this was sorted. The cupboard in one bedroom was being used to store a portable cot and vacuum cleaner and there was no space left to hang clothes. This property sits above shops/restaurant and has 2 sets of stairs - only one set of stairs has a hand railing. The top set of stairs was difficult as there was no where to hold on to - especially when carrying luggage up and down. Otherwise, the apartment was quite suitable.
