Overall quality of the rental was similar to staying at a Motel 6 or similar low budget motel. Everything worked, but the house could have been cleaner and some items could have been in better operating shape. There was only street parking on the other side of the street and the house to the right is boarded up and abandoned. I probably would not stay here again.

We rented this property for a wedding in downtown Columbus. The house was excellent for our needs! Well kept and simple, plus plenty of space for our group. Close to all downtown venues and restaurants. The host were very accommodating and responsive, which was greatly appreciated!!

This is a quaint older home 3 blocks from the river walk and ~15 minutes to Fort Moore. It is a great place to host a large party, with lots of bunk beds.

Great location, nice neighborhood. No driveway or parking, you have to park across the street. Huge bathrooms but zero counter space, three of the bedrooms have no closet or anywhere to hang up clothes. The house sleeps so many people, but there really isn't furniture to accommodate that many people… There is one swing on the front porch which is the best place to hang out… We were having to move chairs all over to accommodate dinner or any sort of socializing time. Piano doesn't work well so maybe get rid of it to accommodate a bigger dining table with more chairs? Good location, easy to walk to town or the beautiful neighborhoods nearby.

Honest review
We would stay there again but…
We were there for a graduation at Ft. Benning. We stayed Monday to Friday.
The initial impress is awful. The neighborhood looks sketchy. Heading toward the river gets better with every block. We walked every day and honestly never felt unsafe. Really everyone we encountered was very friendly. Columbus downtown is walkable and very nice. We had great food, white water rafted and did the zip line. The naval museum was really good. My husband, a history buff, loved it. We learned a lot we did not know about the Navy during the Civil War.
Back to the house. We had some issues that were resolved and some that were not.
Resolved:
Delivered a brand new portable crib when requested.
There were not enough
plates, silverware, baking dishes, big enough cookware to feed my group of ten.
It took them over a day to bring the things but they did bring everything I requested including more towel as there were barely enough for one day. Unfortunately we had gone to plan B of eating out. Not my favorite option for a group that size.
Unresolved but I do not remember if I even bothered requesting given the slower reply of the first issues.
We needed bedding for the futon. Bought our own set of sheets and left them.
Conclusion: They certainly tried to make this a good experience and overall a four star is a nice rating given all the issues. I gave it that because had all this items been there when we arrived I would have easily given it a four star. As I stated the first impression was not great but the experience was much better than expected and we would stay again. It was nice to have so many bedrooms.

Concerning
The boarded up house next door was really concerning. Someone has got to clean the ceiling fan in the kitchen. There was an odor-I’m concerned about mold or something-maybe something in the super old carpets.? My daughter broke out in a rash after being there a few days. That door upstairs that leads into the attic should really have a lock on it.

Columbus rental
This property is quite interesting. It’s an older home with a lot of character and age. I love older homes so I thought this would be a great fit! Unfortunately it was not very clean nor fully put together. It needs updates! Also, noises from the attic… ended up being a bat! We were unable to use one of the rooms.
The house next door is abandoned run down and boarded up. And I’m pretty sure someone is squatting in it.
And, we didn’t get instructions for entry prior to getting there… and I messaged and called while being stuck out on the porch for 30 min before I got any response

Charming house near a charming downtown
The house was perfect for our stay. We had never been to Columbus, and the uptown district is walkable, has loads to do, and the property is close to everything. It had space for our whole family and grandparents, was comfortable and cool, and I would definitely stay again on our next trip in town.

Booked for 3 stayed 2
There was lots of room for our small group. We didn’t use all the bedrooms. Unfortunately, the home is really dated and in a poor, run-down, sketchy part of town.
There was only one intrance that was locked and opened with a code leaving the front door just with a deadbolt.
With the neighborhood, I would really recommend a security system after the closet window in the room with the two queens in is fixed. It is unlocked and stuck open.
Microwave handle broken, and the master bathroom window is missing a blind. The sheer curtain left no privacy and we had to hang a down there.
Please do research when considering.
Large families might like it though.
