About this house rental
Summary:
Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in Padstow is this super stylish house for eight. Gorgeous views extend from the garden out over the River Camel, best enjoyed with a drink or two up on the sunny south-west facing terrace.
The Space:
Big French doors lead into the kitchen, harmoniously blending outdoor and indoor living whilst also allowing light to cascade in. The living and dining spaces are located on the top floor to make the most of the surrounding views, and have been decorated to the highest standard. The kitchen is spacious, open-plan and has all the mod cons you need to cook up big feasts including Swan Espresso coffee machine. Next door is the dining room with elegant Scandinavian styled furniture, exposed brick walls and pendant lighting. You'll love picking up local produce from town and heading home to enjoy big, sociable nights in. On cooler nights, the spacious living room is a cosy spot to curl up on the sofa with a book or a film on the smart TV. Equipped with all the modern apps, you certainly won't struggle to find something to watch!
The tasteful décor continues into the bedrooms, which are accompanied by four bathrooms. The master on the first floor boasts a king-size bed, fitted wardrobes and an en-suite. On the ground floor you'll find two further double rooms as well as a room with two singles. There are three ensuite bathrooms with showers in total, plus a family bathroom with a shower and bath and one WC. The bedrooms ooze tranquillity, having been kitted out with premium furnishings and luxurious bedding. Plus, there are idyllic views out across the countryside to be enjoyed from the comfort of your bed.
Additionally, there is a separate utility room with washing machine and dryer, as well as a self contained study for those on a working holiday. This is a holiday home that has been lovingly restored and decorated with complete comfort and quality in mind. Its close proximity to Padstow is ideal for exploring, but the off-the-beaten-track location enables you to relax in total peace and relaxation.
Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the property.
The Neighborhood:
Padstow is one of the UK's most loved coastal towns. It features a charming harbour, winding streets and a plethora of independent shops. It's also known as Cornwall's ultimate foodie destination, with Rick Stein's famous restaurant and cookery school on the harbour. From the property, you can walk into Padstow town within 20 minutes - a real gem given the difficulties of parking in summer! However, it's a hilly walk down so may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations.
The Camel Trail starts in Padstow, following the route of the old railway line to Bodmin, and is much loved by walkers and cyclists (bikes may be hired at Padstow or Wadebridge). The path winds its way alongside the riverbank through this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its abundant wildlife. The estuary is a favourite stopping off point for migrant wading birds (up to 90 species!) who feed on the fertile mud flats during their journeys to and from the northern breeding grounds.
There are plenty of beaches close to Padstow that are well worth a visit. A short walk from the house leads you to the estuary, or you can pick up the ferry from Padstow harbour over to Rock. This is a beautiful beach on the river mouth with fantastic swimming opportunities and pubs for a tipple at sundowner! It is only a drive of 10-15 minutes to the lovely sandy, surfing beaches of Trevone, Harlyn and Constantine Bay, or you could be at the iconic Bedruthan Steps in under 20 minutes.
You're in a prime spot to experience the very best of North Cornwall. For delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere, we'd recommend heading to Scot and Bab's just outside of Mawgwan Porth. It's a 20-minute drive, and just the best summer dining spot for a rustic feast!
Getting Around:
If you get to the property by car, there is ample free parking for multiple vehicles on the driveway.
If not, the house is easily accessible via public transport with trains operated by Great Western Railway running from London Paddington directly into Newquay station - just 28 minutes drive to the house. There are also lots of buses operating if you would like to visit the surrounding areas, as well as an airport at Newquay if you prefer to fly!
Other Things to Note:
The property has a Ring Doorbell which is a smart video doorbell connected to an App. This is used to assist with any issues you may have during check in.
Interaction with Guests:
We will be available via message, email and phone during your stay. Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch!

Perfect location for walking into Padstow. Handy for Tesco. Short drive to Harlyn Bay, our favourite beach.
The house could do with a few extra kitchen utensils for cooking, ie large cooking spoon, tongs, only 3 saucepans (small, medium, largish) for a house that sleeps 8. & another sofa (1 Large sofa & 1 wicker chair. Brought another chair in from the kitchen) Lounge doesn'tseat 8 although enough space.
Would still return as these are minor things & the house is lovely.
Thank you.

The house was a good size. Unfortunately, many items expected to make our stay comfortable we’re missing. Not enough utensils, the beds were very small. Pots and pans were old with Teflon coming off. Had to ask for an airer which was taken on board and one was delivered. Toilet seat broken. No hooks to hang stuff on. Plus, no mirror in bedroom making it difficult to dry hair etc.
However, the lounge was comfortable with lovely views.

A very clean upside down minimalistic house with many stairs. The garden had been neglected a few light bulbs had not been replaced and some toilet seats were loosel but we enjoyed our stay.

Stylish, modern property, plenty of space. 3 out of 4 bedrooms have en-suite, plus a family bathroom. Masses of garden space, not that we used in in the winter.
Property located at the bottom of a hill in a cul de sac, so up and down from the Harbour but not an issue for any in our party.

Lovely house in a great location with ample amenities. Close to the centre of Padstow with numerous beaches and attractions within easy driving distance. Everything is as described in the property listing. Owner/property manager was extremely helpful, both before and during the trip, with prompt replies to all queries. One point of note. It is only a short walk into Padstow but some of the route is quite hilly so need to bear that in mind. That said, it was a perfect base for our visit to Cornwall and we would thoroughly recommend it.
