About this apartment rental
Aloha I am Kalani the owner of this wonderful 3 bedroom condo in the heart of Kauai's lush north shore. All new linens, towels, local artwork, cleaning products and all good vibes.
Organic - Sustainable - Local Community Supporter.
Hale Kalani is located at the Mauna Kai Condos which sit between the Prince and the Makai Golf courses with ocean and mountain view steps from the front door. The location will provide you with easy access the finest tropical golf and surf in the world.
Princeville town center is an easy walk to local shops and dining options. A 10 min drive and you are in Hanalei. This Bay will touch your heart sprinkled daily with rainbows, sunshine, cute shops, and awesome dinning options. Right from the front door is a short hike (10 mins) down the Queen's path which has a waterfall and takes you to peaceful Anini Beach. Here you can safely swim or snorkel with the whole family. Calm waters and a rich underwater life offers the best swimming and snorkeling on Kauai. This peaceful stretch of beach is protected by the largest coral reef in Hawaii. The protective reef creates a beautiful blue lagoon perfect for relaxing. Many other close beaches offer great surfing, snorkeling, wave play and incredible beauty.
Hale Kalani is located in a lush garden setting at the end of a quiet walkway. I have curated the townhouse to provide local flare along with all the comforts of living in paradise. The unit is 1500 sq/ft and includes two queen bedrooms and one king. In addition to the three bedrooms is an open room/loft with a queen sleeper sofa. Wood floors throughout the whole home give it that clean cool feel. The main floor living area has a two story vaulted plantation style beam ceilings. The dinning room features local artist Troy Carney's interpretation of the Napali Coast. Island style louvered windows offer good air flow to maximize trade wind cooling. A complete solar electric system was installed to provide 'green energy'. A solar water heater offers plenty of hot water and helps utilize the natural resource of the island while having a low impact on energy consumption. The well equipped kitchen is remodeled with beautiful granite counter tops and maple cabinets.
The Mauna Kai pool is the largest condo pool in Princeville, so big you can actually swim laps! It was entirely redone in 2022 and is solar heated which is greatly appreciated in the cooler winter months. The gazebo offers gas and charcoal grills, sink, fridge, ping pong and space for a private party. A short drive will take you to Hanalei town or Hanalei Beach Park, an incredible town beach with endless sand, soft waves, wade in swimming and world class surfing. For the more adventurous, Na Pali Coast hiking, kayaking and Secret Beach are the Ultimate and just down the road.
Down the street is the Westin Resort which gives you access to the finest luxury spa and dining comforts plus Bali Hai sunset. Bali Hai is the north shore's canvas for the last sunset in the United States each evening. The mountain's majestic profile is the beginning of the Na Pali cliffs along the north shore of Kauai and provides a romantic backdrop for ocean cruises, helicopter flights, and spectacular hiking adventures. It is also the million dollar sunset view just steps out the front door. The Princeville Center (walking distance) provides many dining and shopping options, including the local Saturday market to stock the kitchen.
The unit has high speed WIFI, cable and Apple TV. There are also plenty of games and puzzles to help you unplug and stay entertained. A self-serve BBQ is provided on the lanai for private outdoor dining.

Our family (me, my husband, and four adult kids) really enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean, in a quite area, that is very close to the grocery store, park, ocean, and Hanalei Bay. Hanalei is really close and we loved our breakfast at Wake Up Delicious and definitely stop by Wishing Well Coffee &Tea. We hiked down to Anini beach while staying here, its quite the hike (the uphill part) but beautiful. They did not recommend swimming while we were there but it was a lovely place to walk along the beach. The pool at the property is really nice as well. I really loved all the toiletries provided, top notch stuff, and a nice tropical touch. Overall, this is a property that we would stay at again and would recommend it to others. I did not want to come home!

Our family of 5, including 3 adult children (27,25 and 16) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful setting and well equipped condo. It was spacious and with three full bedrooms accommodated all of us in a most scenic and beautiful location. The unit had everything and more! Our host provided a binder of excursion ideas and dining venues. We participated in many tours and when we wanted to relax, both the pool and beach down the road was convenient.
We highly recommend this unit and would return to this part of Kauai in time.
Thank you!

Good location, in good condition. Near a lots of great beach spots, grocery store and restaurants. Ran low on soap and paper products as apparently things had been pretty hectic for the cleaning crew.

The condo was perfect for our group of 6. It was clean and well appointed. We liked the location, within walking distince (if you don't mind going up/down short but steep trails) to two beaches, a grocery store and several eateries/coffee shops. We did do a fair amount of driving to explore other beaches and other parts of the island, but didn't have to. Communications with the host and house cleaner were great and they were helpful when we needed help finding extra sheets. I'd definitely stay here again.

Kalani's immaculate home in Princeville is nestled in a quiet garden setting minutes from Hanalei Bay. Check in instructions were straightforward and there was plenty of parking available. We were impressed with the spaciousness of the property - plenty of room for four adults plus extra - and the casual elegance of the decor was just right. Meticulously appointed, the home had everything we needed, and we appreciated that every single appliance and fixture worked. We loved the location, so close to the hiking, swimming, and sight-seeing we had planned around Na Pali. We can't wait to return!

Property was as advertised. Communication with the owner was easy and accurate. Well stocked kitchen and towels (beach and bath).

a very well equipped and furnished Princeville condo which easily accommodated our family of 6 adults
The host was very responsive with queries about a couple of issues which she attempted to resolve as soon as possible
the "short hike (10 min) " to the beach includes a 5 minute walk down the sidewalk then a climb down a very steep dirt trail for about 15 minutes making the local beach difficult to access and use - particularly if you hoped to take anything with you on that journey. It would be a challenging hike for small children or older adults. The return trip is quite step along the dirt path. It is much easier to drive to nearby Anini beach
the condo pool does not have a hot tub
instructions for leaving were very detailed and included requiring trash removal, cleaning and laundry requirements with a list of charges to be imposed if those instructions were not accurately followed
Overall we enjoyed our stay at a beautiful location on the island

We had a very nice stay at Hale Kalani. We were 6 adults including 2 85 year old parents. Downstairs room with own bathroom was perfect for them. We made some great meals and enjoyed the space and outdoor terrace and BBQ. Walk to the Princeville village was nice, and walk to golf course and cliffs overlooking ocean also nice. Hiked down to the nearby beach as well. Outdoor shower handy for sand and mud. The pool area was also great for out family for poolside yoga, ping pong and swimming each morning. All and all great place and great location.

This condo was very comfortable and clean. Beach gear was nice, and beds were comfortable. My only complaint is that the swimming pool is actually quite small and there is no bathroom in the pool area so you have to go all the way back to your condo if you have to go! The hide a bed mattress was terrible, so don’t count on using that for extra sleeping space and a full length mirror would have been nice. In all, it was a great place to stay.

We spent time here with our family and enjoyed the property - very easy to check in and comfortable all around. Very thorough communication and expectations. Easy access to a local grocery store and several nearby restaurants as well as access to Hanalei.

Our extended family of six loved our 10 day stay at Hale Kalani. This is a beautiful home in the lushly landscaped Mauna Kai property. We loved the gardens, spotting birds off the spacious lanai while we enjoyed our coffee in the mornings, and were very comfortable in this home that was equipped with everything we needed. We cooked on the gas grill as well as in the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The high ceilings, ceiling fans, and louvered windows contributed to a very tropical and airy vibe, with breezes flowing throughout the home keeping it cool. We loved being able to take walks from Mauna Kai throughout Princeville to see the sunset, access the various beaches, and walk to the nearby grocery store and shopping center. Hanalei is a short, 8 minute drive so we went there often and also drove further up the coast. This was the perfect vacation rental for us.

We came to kaua’i with 4 adults and 1 toddler and this place was absolutely amazing!! The property manager Patricia was so helpful and and kind. The place is exactly what you see in the pictures. Everything we needed was provided, everything from the kitchen to kids toys you name it it felt like home. We will 10/10 be staying here again. The location was perfect, close to everything on the north shore.

My family of four just returned home from the best Kauai vacation! This condo was exactly as described and in the perfect location. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was completely stocked, and there was plenty of space for all of us to spread out. We really appreciated that anything we could need at the beach was provided- chairs, coolers, umbrella, boogie boards- the list goes on. It was really great not having to rent that stuff! We just loaded up the rental car and went to the beach. We spent most of our time in Hanalei Bay, only 10 minutes away. There are beautiful beaches all over the place, but Hanalei was perfect! Others have commented on the walk to the beach from the condo, and I’ll agree that it was a really steep hike, but it was worth it! It was so beautiful! I can’t say enough good things about this condo. It checked all the boxes and Kalani was really easy to communicate with. She was very thorough and check in and check out was a breeze. If you’re on the fence about this, don’t wait to book it! Thanks so much Halekalani!

Plenty of space for 6 and close to everything! We literally were ten minutes away in each direction to something beautiful! Explored by car and by foot. In the end, we used our last day to revisit our favorite beach- Anini…right down the road.

This is a very comfortable property in the heart of Princeville. We loved the spacious home and also the ease of closeness to the Princeville market area, and the beach. The place is well equipped and we were able to both cook and enjoy the patio in the evenings. The owner is super helpful and never failed to respond back to queries. I hope we can come back some day and stay again.

We had a lovely week in Kauai. We spent most of our week surfing in Hanalei Bay and exploring the north coast. Halekalani was the perfect place for our family to rest and relax between adventures. Halekalani is comfortable, clean, and spacious. We loved the well-stocked kitchen, the grill, and the large table on the lanai. Perfect for morning coffee or evening meals. The open windows, ceiling fans, and sonos speaker made relaxing to ukulele music easy and breezy. We made quick friends with the geckos and chickens and songbirds. Loved the pool between beach trips. Halekalani was the perfect vibe for us. We would stay again in a heartbeat. Mahalo!

The condo was perfectly located walking distance to Anini Beach, cliffs along Princeville, the park and marketplace. We really enjoyed the airy and spacious condo for our family. Would strongly recommend for families!

We had a very pleasant stay here and the condo served us well. The pool location is great.
You can "walk" to a beach, but is a very steep, slippery "hike" down and a VERY steep climb up. And we are avid hikers. Anini is a beautiful beach but you need to drive 5 miles to the other side of the river.
We did experience noise from other condo's, and traffic.
It is a good location to drive from to the ample beautiful beaches and Hanalei . Northern Kauai is simply stunning.
The host was very communicative and easy to contact.

Overall, the property was clean except for the grill that needed a good cleaning. The kitchen could use some new pots and replacement of chipped dishes. Upstairs bedroom had only one pillow but extra pillows in closet had no pillowcases to put on them. Maybe upgrade all the towels to be cohesive and not mismatched. These are all minor fixes.
Kudos to Patricia, the housekeeper for borrowing an iron from a friend so some of the guests could work on their quilting project they brought along.
The location was perfect with Anini Beach close by and the town of Hanalei. Overall I would recommend HaleKalani.

Kalani has a beautiful home with everything to make your Princeville stay wonderful! The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well stocked, we especially enjoyed the coffee grinder which we used to grind our locally bought beans. There is a really fun farmers market walking distance from her unit that opens on Saturdays. The home is just a 10 min drive from Hanalei and about 45 min from Lihue. Kalani was extremely kind and responsive would recommend this place to anyone looking in the Princeville area!

This was the perfect place for my family of 6. It had everything we could need for the beach. Comfortable beds, and beautiful decor.
The host was absolutely amazing, quick communication and was flexible enough to let us stay an additional day to wait for a red eye flight!
We will definitely book again!!

We've stayed in many rentals on each island. This was our first time in Kauai and this particular rental has been the best! It's very well stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils. The coffee grinder was a great touch. We cooked pretty much every day and didn't really miss anything. The beds and linens are comfy as well. The size of the property was perfect for our party. We even took advantage of the community pool and grill which seemed pretty vacant. Our favorite part was the short, steep walk to the (almost) secluded beach near the complex. Out of all the beaches we visited, it had the calmest waters and we saw the most sea turtles there! Simply lovely and great for kids. Everyone comments on the fact that there is no AC, but there are plenty of windows and fans to ventilate air. Everyone got used to it by the first day. I'd highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in Princeville.
Mahalo for your hospitality!

Great location and well stocked.
Communication was prompt and property was represented very fairly. There is no air conditioning, as stated, but the fans really helped. Loved all the beach and sand toys.

Beautiful Kauai condo!
Very enjoyable stay! It was a little tight for 8 adults, but we knew that going in. The kitchen was great and we also grilled one night. The provided wagon and beach gear was excellent and appreciated. Would stay again!!

Little Gem in Princeville
Kalani's condo in Princeville is a really nice, clean, bright and airy place perfect for kids and small families to have a fun and rested vacation. The condo is very conveniently located with Foodland grocery store and restaurants a stone's throw away. The property around the condo is lush and great for strolls around the golf courses and beautiful gardens around the property. House itself is well lit and spacious. The rooms are comfortable, and not having air conditioning was not a problem with ceiling fans and pedestal fans doing the job. The sofa bed was the only issue as our kids did not find it very comfy. We had to deploy our own back-up air bed to make up for that. The beach gear was an especially nice touch. The Tommy Bahama chairs, the beach cart, beach umbrellas and the snorkel gear were really useful. Overall a fantastic experience. Kalani was very helpful and we highly recommend this place if the north shore is your destination.

Loved the townhouse!
Decorated to make you feel as if you are in a home and fully stocked kitchen, beach gear, love the cart to transport all of our stuff to and from the beach. Master bed was super comfy. Had issue with the pool so we were not able to use. Owner was helpful and communicated and gave discount for late notice on the pool. Would be nice to keep some basic spices in unit, like salt/pepper etc. & maybe a portable A/C in the unit. Make sure you read the check in directions. I didn't pay much attn and had a hard time finding the unit in the dark, but once I went back and read the directions it was easy to find. Short & beautiful drive down to Hanalei which was our fave beach and place to hand out.

Just what we needed
The property was perfect for our family. It was clean, well stocked, easily accessible and close to all the fun on the north shore. I like it cold, so no A/C wasn’t great, but it’s just how it is in Hawaii. It’s a 5 star stay for sure.

Great space
We had a great stay. Like other reviews the kitchen set up is pretty awesome, whatever you need is there including a rice maker. We ended up cooking at the house just about every night of our week long stay as there is an amazing fish market in Hanalei. The outdoor space is private and comfortable and we spent most evenings out there. The walk to the beach is not far but includes a steep hill, totally worth it as the beach is beautiful, quiet and protected from the big waves (you can still paddle out to them if you want but the swell was huge while we were there). The washer was broken (and she warned be before we arrived so I could prepare) but no big deal about that and she is working on getting it fixed. Would absolutely stay again.

Nice condo near the beach
Nicely equipped, esp. kitchen and baths. Walk to the beach, although a little steep. Quick, easy drive to some nice beaches. Plenty of room for the 7 of us (6 adults+1 child). Short walk to groceries, shopping, and restaurants.
This all made for a really enjoyable stay with whale watching, snorkeling, sightseeing, and lots of challenging hiking (and a few easy ones).
We would definitely consider doing this again!
