1 Mile to St Michaels-THE ST MICHAELS HARBOR SHUTTLE CAN PICK YOU UP AT OUR DOCK to take you to town or WALK/BIKE/KAYAK FOR ICE CREAM IN ST MICHAELS, WE ARE SO CLOSE!!!! This home has it all.. Fall in love with it's privacy, abundant nature,and fabulous location, only1 mile to town by water or bike but off a private road with no traffic nearby. Relax in the sun or shade on the huge outdoor deck overlooking Long Haul Creek, view the Yacht Club from the rose garden, or swim any time of year in the heated swim spa. 5 Kayaks provided to explore the creek .Crab and fish from the dock. Keep your boat at the deep water boat slip. Play Marco Polo with the kids in the 19 ft long, 5ft deep swim spa can be set at hot or cool, or do laps against its two swim current speeds. Sip cocktails in the jetted seats at night with its fountains and colorful "disco lights" . Or stay dry and roast marshmallows over the firepit (with wood provided.)
And then there is the house! Inside it's beautifully furnished coastal style with water views from almost every room. The main living room is surrounded by deck with comfortable seating to play games or watch TV. The gourmet kitchen looks out to it so the cooks aren't left out of the fun. It's a gourmet kitchen with 2 sinks & 2 dishwashers & 2 ovens, and both gas & induction cooking. Blender, juicer, mixer,, toaster, coffee grinder, coffee and k-kup maker as well as spices are provided. There's an eating bar for quick lunch for the kids or dinner at the the antique oak floorboard dining table surrounded by windows. The large 2nd entry/laundry room off the kitchen provides lots of space for coats, shoes, and extra stuff you bring.
The 1st floor master suite has access to the deck often has moonlight views of the water. With its King 4 poster bed with gas fireplace (winter months only)and French doors to the marble bath with his and her vanities, bidet and glass shower, you can even watch the fireplace or the creek from the jetted soaking tub.
Upstairs is the Queen ensuite 2nd master suite with beautiful views to the water. There is an office/art studio connected by to it by French door in case you need someplace private to work.The 3rd peach colored bedroom has a Queen bed and connecting bath to the 4th bedroom with 2 double beds.
All quality linens, towel,swim spa towels are included. 5 kayaks and 4 bikes are included. Firewood is included. Life vests are included, but you can bring your own too to ensure fit.
The dock is yours to use while you are here. ( Owner’s boat may be in one slip). Dock has 30 & 50 amp power and water one slip. And facedock with 6’ depth. Crabbing was fantastic in 2024- crabpots provided for you to use.
And your Fido might be included- we will need to discuss it's size, breed and training.
I ask that you treat my home as you would your own. It's not just a rental- it's rented during the summer while I travel around the country and my home the rest of the year. Our time at Kathi's place was perfect for our family of 3 (with a toddler) and two sets of grandparents. The setting is magical - surrounded by old growth trees and set right on the water, we had spectacular sunsets through our stay. The house is so well appointed and spacious including en suite bathrooms to all bedrooms. The pool was a fantastic amenity to have because it was small enough for our toddler to swim in but big enough for adults as well and easy to securely cover when not in use. The wrap around deck is inviting for having meals al fresco and happy hours. The yard is spacious for running around but shaded due to the trees. And the dock access to the water was great, especially for fireworks watching. We can't thank Kathi enough for being so welcoming and sharing her beautiful home with us.

Our group included two grandparents, two parents and two children, 9 & 11. The children were in sailing camp during the weekdays, but came home and really enjoyed the swim spa, as did the other family members. Kayaking and biking were the other activities that kept us thoroughly entertained. There were three kayaks for use by guests and four bicycles. The house is extremely well equipped, comfortable and in a great location in St. Michaels. We had a very nice two-week stay.

We loved it here! It was in a private & beautiful location. The house was very comfortable and charming. We enjoyed the dock, fire pit and lap pool. Loved exploring on the bikes that were provided. Kath was a great host. Would definitely stay here again.

We had our first family vacation (3 generations) in three years due to the pandemic. We all fell in love with the property. We had all kinds of plans but ended up spending much of our time at the house. It was so relaxing; a huge beautiful deck, beautiful view of the water, a wonderful infinity pool and more. We went kayaking off the dock and caught huge crabs off the dock (and Kath supplied everything you'd need to have a crab fest). Kath recommended some great restaurants and the property manager was so helpful in getting us acclimated to everything the property had to offer. We hated having to leave and go home. A truly memorable experience.

We kayaked, rode bikes and even caught a crab from the end of the dock. Kathleen’s home is lovely with a gourmet kitchen, super comfortable bedrooms, a huge deck and lap pool our kids enjoyed. The location is terrific - very close to town, but a quiet idyllic setting. We highly recommend it.

The house was clean and lovely to stay in. The spa/pool was broken the first half of our stay but the owner worked diligently/everyday to try and get it working. When it worked, it was great to use! Very close to all the restaurants and shops.

Serene Waterside Location in St. Michaels
This serene and peaceful property was perfect for my family of 4 adults with two well-behaved dogs. We love the spacious yet cozy, homey feeling and the comfy beds. The wrap around deck and covered dining area offered very versatile outdoor spaces and the perfect place for playing cards together at the end of the day.

A perfect family gathering destination.
A beautiful, peaceful home, inside and out, that 3 generations enjoyed immensely - from sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful view to exploring in the kayaks. The host, Kath, and the property manager were extremely kind, helpful, and responsive. We highly recommend this lovely spot.

We had an awesome time! Location is great, property is beautiful and has every amenity needed to have a great time. Owner is great at communicating and property manager took us through the house and explained everything to us. Which light switches work which lights and how to use the TV! So important for renters!!

Waterfront serenity
We have been to St Michaels several times but it was our first visit to Southport. This home is waterfront serenity with your cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. Very lovely, home with comfortable beds, equipped kitchen, fire pit and crab traps. Hilights included kayaking, our homemade crab dip, cornhole competitions and the evening fire pit. Awesome weather allowed us to eat all of our meals, and enjoy cards on the large deck. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful Labor Day getaway
The house was beautiful inside but the view of the water from the deck and the dock was even better. Great location and very close to downtown St Michaels. The owner and property manager did everything they could to make our stay perfect. We will definitely treasure the memories made here kayaking, fishing off the dock, enjoying the deck and swim spa, and enjoying a fire in the evenings. Would recommend to anyone looking for an escape less than 2 hrs from DC.

Our pups had some informal play-dates and that made it even better. I would highly recommend this house and definitely stay there again.

It's hard to appreciate the setting from the photos. Apart from one round of lawn mowing and the occasional laugh from a neighbor across the water, it's very quiet. I loved the reflection of the rippling water on the tree trunks.
We were fortunate to stay when host Kath was not traveling (staying in her garage apartment). Her extra attention (when we asked) was delightful, as was her puppy Lexi.
The only complaint from our friends who stayed in the larger room upstairs was the tight size of the shower. I've used much smaller showers, but didn't try this one.
The supply of incidentals like paper towels and food wraps was much more extensive than typical. I suspect that's because it's not managed by a firm trying to squeeze every dime from each rental.
Be sure to have dinner at 208 Talbot.

It was an awesome weekend in a beautiful house. We loved the location by the water, the pool, and all of the fun in the backyard. It was great to get away from the city with family! We spent time in St. Michaels but had the most fun on the property!

Magnificent home on the water!
Exceptionally beautiful home with magnificent views!
We loved this comfortable place to gather with our family on the waterfront! We enjoyed the use of the kayaks off the private dock, the bikes to ride into town and had fun in the fantastic swim spa. The house was fabulous for gourmet cooking, grilling and dining inside or out on the patio. There's even a fire pit to enjoy s’mores in the backyard! By far the best quality rental we enjoyed and want to return to!
While close to town, the house is down a long road and separate driveway, and is very private. Kath, the owner has another dwelling on the large property, and while there to welcome us and available for a few questions and recommendations, we had total privacy.
