Serenity Bay on Lake Hartwell is a lakefront getaway, with comfort and relaxation in mind. Located on a quiet, family friendly cove, with clear, calm, deep water and direct access to enjoy a peaceful day on the lake! We are conveniently located 20 minutes from beautiful Anderson, South Carolina where you will find trendy shopping and big chain restaurants. Clemson University fans, no worries! Also, only 20 minutes.
Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles, your boat, jet ski or camper!
The Space
The LANDING over the lake is perfect for relaxing, fishing or family fun in the bay with steps leading directly into the water! Grab a kayak or your water toys and enjoy! PLEASE NOTE ***we do not have a traditional dock, only a landing with direct water access.***
This home is ideal for a quiet and relaxing getaway and fun on the lake! Please respect our neighbors, no loud, unnecessary noises. Quiet hours are 10PM-7AM.
-Calm spaces (remember that novel you never have the time to start?......this is a great place to read it). Also great location to relax and enjoy all the sounds of nature.
-Two kayaks, water floats and life jackets provided for use.
-While we do provide Wifi we are in a rural area where traditional wifi is not available. You may experience delays or interruptions.

Very nice house and perfect size for 2 older couples. Towels are a bit thin and a one cup coffee maker are our only complaints. We had a wonderful time!

House was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. Loved all the water toys and life vests in the garage. We used the two kayaks. Two people are needed to move the kayaks from the garage to lake. Very quiet neighborhood and we used the fire pit for s’mores. Would definitely rent this property again.

Our stay was amazing! The house was great and so clean! It was perfect for my family! The Lake was amazing! Highly recommend staying here! The host Jessica was awesome she made things so easy for us! It was a great place to stay for my daughter's graduation from Clemson! I would definitely stay there again when I come back for a game!

Serenity House is indeed a peaceful spot, especially on non-weekend days. It has a serene back yard, with seating outside with a peak of the lake and a cute little screened in porch, which is helpful as water means mosquitoes. It's well set up, has lots of dishes, glassware and plastic stuff for outdoor use. Loved the rocking chairs on the porch for hanging out with friends. Huge living room, great master bedroom with very comfy King bed and lots of space. The other bedrooms are quite small. The place is super clean, well appointed and welcoming! The hosts are super responsive and terrific!

We stayed here for my son’s graduation from Clemson University. There were 6 of us (my husband, myself, our 2 adult daughters, and my husband’s parents). Entry access was very easy and Jessica texted me to check in with us. She responded to my texts promptly. I would highly recommend this property. And it’s not far from Clemson University so it’s perfect if your visiting a student or coming up for a game!

Our experience was great. The home is well maintained very clean and welcoming. The host had snacks on the table which were greatly appreciated after our long drive from Maryland. The outside is well kept, and the view of the Lake is spectacular, especially from the dock. The host responded quickly to our questions when we arrived and during our stay. We would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a quiet and lovely home for a vacation. We had a wonderful time visiting our granddaughter who is attending Clemson and enjoyed having a beautiful and welcoming home to return to after each days activities.

We stayed at Serenity Bay for the ND-Clemson game. House is nicely decorated and well appointed right on Lake Hartwell. We enjoyed a bonfire but did not get a chance to get out on the water because of after game tailgating. It was about a 25 min drive to campus through beautiful fall foliage. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This home is a nice size for 4-6 people. If you are visiting your Clemson student, be sure to include them in your “number of people” if there is even a chance they may want to stay over as it is a drive from campus at night. We appreciated the communication with the owners. They were quick to respond.

Adult weekend for Clemson homecoming was extra special because of our stay at Serenity Bay. The home was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was an easy drive to Clemson. Close enough to drive but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle of a football weekend. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed this home. It was our first time staying and I am always a bit nervous staying somewhere new but I was so pleased with how clean the house was and that is really important to me. The beds are so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The kitchen doesn’t have storage for things you bring but we utilized the laundry room and garage. We also loved being able to pull into the garage - it’s huge! The walk down to the lake was very doable. Carrying the kayaks up and down you will definitely get your exercise in :). They provided so many great floaties and life jackets in all sizes. It was different not to have a dock but the water was low and it provided a place to sit chairs on and the kids to safely enter the water. I will say that you need to be careful with little kids or older family members getting on and off the steps . I did end up slipping/falling on the rocks while trying to help getting the kayak up to the stairs. My own fault but just be careful!

We stayed here for the 2023 high school national Bassmaster tournament. The house was perfect and well-equipped for what we needed. We had access to the garage which was big enough for us to store our bass boat out of the rain. The launch nearby (about 1 mile) was quickly and easily accessible to make getting in and out of the water easy.
We hope to qualify for nationals again next year and we would definitely stay here again.

Serenity Bay is the perfect get away location for the family . It is a quiet and nice neighborhood with an awesome view . The house has everything you would need and the hosts are great and generous with giving you lots of amenities to enjoy . We would definitely stay again . It was our first time traveling with our 6 month old and it was a success!

2 problems: we were never able to pull up espn( none of us had experience with dish network)
Door knob on twin bedroom door fell off. We did not have Allen wrench to repair
Having a phone number of owners would b helpful, especially for emergencies( we were locked out once)

restaurants in Clemson without having to go to Anderson

We stayed here as an alternative to a hotel in Clemson and we’re so glad we did. It was a perfect home to relax in and enjoy our family. Comfortable beds, thoughtful touches everywhere and a beautiful lake view to wake up to!

Our stay was absolutely lovely. Jessica and Derrick reached out immediately to make sure we got in ok and had everything we needed. We have stayed in several Vrbos and this place was perhaps the best. They did a nice job providing all the basics. It was super clean, beds were comfy, TV was huge for game day, view was beautiful and loved that kayaks and firepit were available! Would definitely stay again.

Overall very nice place and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our only issue is we found that getting the Kayaks to the water was a bit challenging. Would be nice to have a ramp or pulley system to make it easier.

The house was spotless, and the hosts had every need covered: We had a wonderful welcome gift and condiments, snacks and games (indoor and outdoor) provided. The lake access is a little tricky, but we enjoyed the swim. (life preservers and floaties and kayak's provided)

Wonderful Lake Getaway
The property was beautiful and had all the comforts of home. Beds were comfortable. Provided floats and kayaks were fantastic. We also spent endless hours on the screened in porch. Thank you for a lovely stay! Hope to come back some time.

50th birthday get away.
My wife and I were more than satisfied with our stay. The home was immaculate and every detail was accounted for. Jessica was awesome to communicate with. We loved being able to walk down to the lake and store our boat in the garage when we just wanted to drive and get supper. . Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Weekend on the lake
Great experience with so many hidden goodies. Plentiful entertainment for the whole family with giant board games , Wi-Fi, and smart tv’s everywhere. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils you can think of. My one complaint would be that some of the dishes were dirty. We had a blast fishing and roasting marshmallows on the campfire. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a good time with their family for a weekend at the lake.

Great Lake House
Such a cute place. Nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable beds, well made kitchen cookware, plates……. Spices and condiments available. So much available for entertainment including games, fire pit, corn hole, kayaks, life vests , etc. we were able to rent a boat and get picked up and dropped off at dock. Water is so clear and flat. We had the pleasure of even meeting the hosts who were amazing and super helpful.
We will definitely be coming back!

BEST VRBO we’ve ever rented!
Lake Hartwell was absolutely beautiful and this house was perfect! We loved everything about our weekend with friends. We brought 2 bass boats. The boat dock is literally right around the corner. The location and convenience for bringing a boat couldn’t have been better. Hanging out at the house with the lake view and location was so relaxing! The owners of this house are outstanding! The house is filled with anything and everything you need! The kayaks, floats and life jackets were perfect for floating out in the cove. Clemson is only 20 minutes away. It was fun getting to visit the college town as well. The owner, Jessica, was so sweet and thoughtful. She left a bottle of wine, snacks and a thank you card upon our arrival! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for being exactly what we needed for a weekend away with friends!
