About this house rental
Large 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath Craftsman style home on a peaceful Lake Hartwell lot minutes from downtown Hartwell with a covered dock on the property and one minute from local boat ramp. Home offers plenty of room for entertaining with well-equipped kitchen (Keurig, regular coffee maker, toaster, blender, and can opener) open to the living area, large downstairs rear patio perfect for grilling (with grill and outdoor bar set), screened-in porch, and finished basement (with wet bar and large screen Smart TV). Master on main floor contains a queen, upstairs bedrooms contain a king and a kids room with two sets of bunk beds, and basement also has a separate queen bedroom and bath. Backyard leads to property's private covered dock with spacious views of the lake.

There were afew items that needed repaired so we took pictures and videos of those items so you would not charge us for those things that were broken before we arrived. I made it a point that all members of our were aware of of all your requests on how to treat your home
We just wish whoever was before us did the same
. The grill was terribly dirty so we had to pick up some disposable grill plates to make it usable
The handle on the stove was coming off and one of the refrigerator crisping boxes were broke. Also there was the lower set of stairs rung that was broken at the top was sticking out. A couple of the guys in our group fixed

This lake house was perfect for our family vacation. It's on a quiet spot on lake Hartwell and is very close to the downtown area of Hartwell. Everyday was spent at the dock swimming and fishing. The house is very well stocked with kitchen appliances and bedding. The host was very responsive to my messages and gave detailed instructions on everything. We will definitely be back.

This house allowed several generations of family to come together for a long weekend and really not leave the house. There were gathering spaces on the main floor and lower level, there was plenty of space outside for the littles to roam, and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils, dishware, and small appliances. We had such an amazing few days at this property. Our college girls were able to meet us for the long weekend. The location is close to town and Hartwell has such a cute downtown area. We kayaked a little, but just enjoyed being together and relaxing. We walked/ran miles and miles over the few days we were there. The only complaint we had was the lack of washcloths. There was one per bathroom. Other than that, we had a great trip!!!

This property was perfect for our family! Everything we needed in the kitchen and just the amount of beds and bathrooms! Loved the use of the kayaks and the dock on the property! The host was quick to respond and easy to contact with.

This property was all we needed for our annual getaway with friends. we had 3 couples and 5 kids. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep and hang out. We enjoyed the fire pit, the screened porch and made several meals in the kitchen.
The dock is very private with little activity. We used the kayaks to row up the cove which ended in a creek and saw wildlife. We enjoyed swimming around the dock which has 6-8 feet of water. We rented a pontoon boat and was able to pull it right up to the dock. Lovely stay and would definitely stay again!

The property was quiet and beautiful. Our children loved swimming and fishing off the dock. The swing on the dock was my personal favorite! House was wonderfully equipped and was the perfect size for vacation with extended family. The weather was a bit rainy so the screened in porch was perfect for enjoying the outside weather without getting drenched! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

The house is adorable and spacious! The house is tastefully decorated, clean, and the kitchen has all of the utensils and appliances you would need.
We were only in town for 2 nights for my grandma's funeral so we didn't get to enjoy all of the amenities , but we will hopefully be back in the future.
The hosts were very responsive to messages prior to booking and when I had a question at check-in. We sat at the dock in the afternoon and it was so beautiful & peaceful!

Gary was great! We had some changes and he was very accommodating even before we arrived. The house was everything the listing said it was. The kitchen was really well stocked for 8 of us to cook 3 meals a day. The fire pit was so nice, and the dock was perfect for my husbands boat! The game room had everything the kids needed to keep them entertained. We had a nice, relaxing New Years and would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was Spacious, comfortable and clean. We had so much fun between the games, kayaks, ping pong table, fishing and relaxing on the dock Other than renting a pontoon boat and picking up food and supplies (that were only about 10 mins away) we never left the house. We had plans to see some sights in the area before we arrived, but we had so much fun at the house we pretty much never left for the time there. The lake house had everything we needed for a great vacation.

Amazing property overall
Amazing property. House was perfect for us, with three couples and two small children. We spent a lot of time at the lake; the setup with the dock was outstanding ! The house was great, with lots of space, a great kitchen, upgraded everything. Easy access to town and surrounding areas. Only three things kept me from giving it five stars across the board: the screened porch was great, but in desperate need of a good hosing down. The two queen beds were not queens, but full-size (I measured them to make sure I wasn’t imagining it) which was very uncomfortable. And I’m not sure what happened with the pebble floor in the main bathroom shower, but I recommend shower shoes, it was pretty painful with bare feet! Other than those things, it was one of the best houses we’ve ever rented on VRBO.

Family lake vacation
My husband and I, our two sons and their wives, and our three grandchildren (ages 3-13) had a wonderful week at this comfortable lake house. Bedrooms and bathrooms on three levels gave each family a bit of privacy as needed. We all enjoyed the swing on the dock, the kayaks, and the lovely setting. We did a good bit of cooking and grilling, and found the kitchen and grill well equipped. Of course we made s’mores and told stories around the fire pit. One day we rented a pontoon boat from Hartwell Marina…so much fun! All the kids are hoping we can do this again next year!

Lake house
We enjoyed our stay, the house was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Beautiful lake , use of kayaks , and screened in porch was nice to sit in. The only thing I would like to see is more towels available, we had only 2 bath towels and 1 washcloth in the master bedroom, so I had to wash towels. Definitely would stay there again!

Perfect spot on the lake with lots of wildlife activity
The house was incredibly clean and well laid out. Plenty of room for multiple families. I think you can even fit more then the listed 10 people. Especially when tou have teens who usually fall asleep on the couch. The kitchen is stocked ok enough, could use more daily living things like containers for leftovers more silverware. The dining table only has seating for 6. Although they have bar seats for the island you can't exactly sit and eat there when it is full of all the food you cooked. We had 9 in our group and a few of us would have to eat on the living room furniture. There is a lovely screened in area but while we were there it was covered in pollen and had to be cleaned daily to be able to use. Not that you can do anything about it but just food for thought. There is an awesome fire pit area. The lake is just a short walk from the house. They have 2 tandem kayaks with a launch pad that was very helpful! The dock is well positioned but lacked seating for more than 2 people. Could put some thought into how to better accommodate and entertaining area. There are life jackets that could seriously use replacing. And more size options. The dock boxes could have been put to better use to keep things close to the dock and or store things to be used on the lake. Overall the home is very lovely, peaceful, close but not too close to everything town has to offer and most of all the environment is a perfect get away for a great lake experience. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Great Escape
We just needed a place to get a way to wind down spring break. This was perfect. We spent some time on the lake, shopping down town and got to recap each night with the kids while roasting marshmallows each night!

We thoroughly enjoyed this property on Lake Hartwell. It was my wife and me and another couple and our daughters came up from UGA. It was close enough that they went back and forth for classes. We will definitely try to stay here again.
