About this house rental
Fall in love with this classic Georgia cabin in the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains. The back screened in porch overlooks wooden pine forest filled with wildlife; white tailed deer are daily visitors. The patio includes a propane grill as well as a propane fire pit to keep you warm on the chilly mountain nights. The rustic, newly built interior of the cabin frames all the comforts you'll need to feel at home during your mountain getaway. The property has a full size washer and dryer for your convenience. You're a quick drive away from the numerous surrounding lakes filled with endless Large Mouth Bass, Crappie and Catfish. You are just a short drive from the heart of downtown Blairsville, where you’ll find numerous restaurants and shopping. The general location of the cabin is off 325 and Hedgecock Rd very near to the Nottely Boat Club & Marina. GPS has some folks taking them around the mountain for some reason and the map shows location in downtown Blairsville, which it is not. The distance is about 12 minutes. It is also a short distance to Blue Ridge, Murphy North Carolina and Tennessee.

*Master Bedroom has queen size bed, with full bathroom, smart TV and a large window to view the gorgeous Georgia wildlife.
*Bedroom two is furnished with a queen size bed ,along with a smart TV and full bathroom with shower and tub, incase you have littles to bathe. As well as a large window to view the back yard.
*Kitchen is fully equipped to include Keurig coffee maker, dishes, utensils, pots and pans for cooking needs. The large kitchen island makes a perfect place for family gatherings and has 3 barstools.
*Living Room includes a electric remote start fireplace, 2 reclining chairs and a sofa which includes a sleeper for two extra guests.
*Dinning room has large table with bench seating that can seat 6-8 people.
*The large back screened in porch is furnished with seating and small bistro table. We also have a propane grill for you use and a propane fire pit for cool family nights.
*Property is in a gated community with the gate open daily from 7am-7pm. After 7pm key pad entry is required via code, which is given on check in instructions.

The cabin was as clean and convenient as we had hoped for, as we have friends that live nearby, and were able to visit with them easily. I would only say that with our 2 fur babies, the lack of a fenced in area for them meant that we had to harness and leash them each time they wanted to go out. As long as you're prepared for that, you're good to go. Would love to see a little more lighting in front for those nighttime bathroom trips though. We’ll certainly be back!

It was a wonderful vacation at the cabin/house. The peace and quiet you experience is beyond words. My favourite place was on the back deck where we had our meals. Its a little bit of heaven... Nature at its best... Donna, the host was beyond helpful. She made it so we could call her anytime if we had an issue. A wonderful lady. Stores etc. were within 10-15 mins from cabin, depending on what road you take. We were sad to leave and hopefully will return in the near future.... Highly recommend this cabin Nature at its best.. Thank you Donna for making our vacation a success....

The home was spotless upon arrival and looked just like the photos online. The rooms were so cozy and very spacious. We enjoyed walking up the road to see the beautiful mountain views! Had a wonderful stay!

We stayed a week as previous visitors in the North Georgia area and saw many beautiful scenic sights we had not seen before as well as took advantage of the various antique stores. Most of all we enjoyed the peaceful time spent at our cabin. It was the best stay we had in all our visits.

This has to be the quietest place we've ever stayed! The house has everything you need, with plenty of kitchen utensils, pots and pans. Deer and wild turkeys around every morning and evening. Very nice subdivision for walking. We spend a lot of time on the screened porch, listening to the birds. We only used the master bed, but it was very comfortable. We definitely plan to return in the future. Thanks Donna!

This was a lovely rental. Exactly as described. We loved seeing the deer every morning and evening. When we arrived, we ran into one problem with the heat and contacted Donna. She responded quickly and the problem was solved. Blairsville is a lovely small town, and the cottage has a lovely private setting. Thank you, Donna.

Our stay at the Quiet Retreat is just what we needed. We had a small travel issue and Donna was very accommodating. The house is amazing, the views incredible, the weather outstanding and the house stocked with all nice linens, kitchen items, washer/dryer, everything. The only thing I would add is a fence for my dog and we might just have to stay for 6 months. :0) Thank you again for a lovely visit and being so accommodating! Until we return, many blessings to you and your family,

This home was just perfect for us! I loved the ranch floor plan and the decor was ideal for a mountain house ! We had everything we needed in the kitchen to pull off our Thanksgiving dinner. It’s nice to be in a gated community and it was so quiet.

This place was so wonderful. It had everything we needed, almost like home. We enjoyed watching the wildlife every morning and evening. It was great being in the quiet of nature. My soul needed this re-set. It was conveniently located to every thing we wanted to do.
We loved hiking to the waterfalls nearby, enjoyed several vineyards/wineries and the wonderful little towns and the local people. It was the perfect trip for us.
Only negative was the pillows, they need to be upgraded and have options. We usually bring our own but forgot this time.
Will definitely consider booking again when visiting this area.

The cabin was in a beautiful wooded and hilly area, about a 25 minute drive from Blairsville. Blairsville is a small touristy town, with a few good restaurants and a wonderful large grocery store. The cabin is clean, the furniture in excellent shape, and the setting peaceful and calm. Our host called us the day we were arriving to tell us the internet was not working, but would be fixed within the next day or two. We did not have internet (or access to TV) for 5 of the 7 days we were there. Communications about this were daily, and sometimes tense. It was finally resolved. The dishwasher also stopped working while we were there, but with a call was fixed the next day. It would be nice if the cookware and pillows would be upgraded. However, if it weren't for the internet problem, we would have had a lovely stay.

This is the fourth time staying at this house. We love the privacy and quiet. We had two different deer herds this year, and the morning we left they were all across the street to say goodbye. God willing we.will be back next year.

This beautiful home in such a serene setting was the perfect place to return to each day. Our days were filled with exploring the surrounding towns, where we were welcomed by the friendliest people. This home was so comfortable and felt like home, as soon as we arrived. One of the cleanest home that we have stayed in, which is also very important to us. Our host Donna responded quickly to messages and was so helpful suggesting activities in the area. Would definitely consider staying again.

Most places had a 30+ min wait time...well worth it, but plan accordingly.
We thought the cabin was closer to Blairsville...but it is a 15 min drive west from town. We were attending a wedding east of town, so it made for extra driving. With the great mountain views, we really didn't mind ; )

This unique quiet cabin was just what we needed to help us to rest and recharge. The cabin was immaculate, and very tastefully furnished. Everything was comfortable and inviting and made us feel at home. We lived on the back, screened in porch and had most of our meals out there as we watched the deer come and go. Donna, the host, was extremely accommodating and kind. She responded immediately to any questions we had. The community is gated and is just beautiful. We plan to return and thank you for everything!

House was very clean and looked just like the pictures. It was our second time staying at house. One day had 17 deer at one time and then another day had 6 turkeys and 5 deer at same time. Loved the screen porch and gas fire pit.

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. It was nice and clean. We were provided very basic necessities but it would’ve been nice to have a couple of little things that were missing such as dish soap and dish rags and something to store left over food in. It wasn’t a big deal, I’m just saying those things would be nice additions. We saw plenty of deer and it was really quiet. We loved the back porch! The nearest town is a good 20 minute drive so keep that in mind while planning.

The property was beautiful and so clean. we loved sitting on the screened porch. it was so peaceful. There was two things I think that could improve. need step stool available to get in bed if you are short like me and my husband. It was a struggle getting into bed. I contacted the property manager about not being able to get firepit to light. she just told me they had not had any problem with it.She gave me no solution. my husband realized that the tank was empty. He switch the tank from grill and it worked.

Our experience at this property was spectacular! It was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. We had everything we needed for a week-long family get away…prepared many meals in the well stocked kitchen. The screened porch was so peaceful, and I know many of the reviews mention the deer, but they really were a sight to behold! We walked the neighborhood daily, and occasionally passed a neighbor or two…everyone was very friendly. The main area of the cabin was large enough for our group to congregate without feeling on top of each other, but still spend time together. We had a couple of rainy days and enjoyed playing board games and watching movies, and sitting by the fire. On sunny days we visited Vogel State Park and Odom Springs Winery. All in all, I just can’t imagine a more perfect week! This property is everything it claims and more. We hope to return soon and often. Thank you Donna, for sharing your lovely cabin!
