About this house rental
As you open the front door, you’ll be walking into a private paradise with a pool (heated is optional during colder months) and easy access to Crystal River and the Gulf of Mexico from your own private pier.
INDOOR AMENITIES:
Kitchen: Gourmet Kitchen with all your cooking needs: Stainless steel appliances, coffee maker (drip), microwave, updated refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, dishware, silverware, bakeware, pots, pans, blender, cooking utensils, and toaster. Total seating between kitchen and dining table is 14.
Home Theatre: Custom Stadium Seating for 10, Amazing Sound System, and commercial style popcorn machine for the real "movie-style" experience.
Game Room: Ping Pong table, mini bar, and card table with board games and cards.
Comforts: Three separate temp controls for comfort on different floors of home, on-demand hot water, Surround Sound throughout main level of home and outside patio (volume control in each room). A private office area. WiFi included. Washer/Dryer available and linens/towels provided. Smart TV’s provided in Living Room, Family/Common Room, and all bedrooms = 7 total
Home Layout: Main Floor: Master with spacious jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower with 3 shower heads, kitchen, guest/pool full bath, home office, game room, living room, laundry room, dining room, common area. Upstairs: Upstairs is 3 bedrooms, a family room with a pull-out queen couch, a full bath, and theatre room.
OUTDOOR AMENITIES:
Backyard: Resort Style Pool with large very private backyard. Heated pool is optional during colder months. Limited pool towels provided as well as floats for the pool. Large basketball court (basketball and football provided). Outside Sound System, large gas grill (propane included), 65” outdoor Smart TV, corn hole, and fenced in back yard. Outside has 20 seating options.
Privately owned Dock/Pier (in front of house) on Canal: Great fishing - Bring your fishing poles and/or boat (27 ft or less). 4 Kayaks provided with life jackets.
Parking: No more than 4 vehicles. No street parking is allowed. No parking in the lawn.
Fun fact: The home is conveniently located less than 2 miles from golfing, boat launches, boat rentals, a beach, fishing, Marina, and hiking trails. When ready to explore, Crystal River has so much to offer which includes swimming with the manatees, fishing, scalloping, air boat tours, state parks, boat rentals, excellent restaurants and much more!

Loved the outdoor pool area, basketball court, theater room and dock with kayaks!!

Great stay for a long weekend with all our family. Something to do for everybody - swim, play basketball, we had a family ping pong tournament and watched movies in the large theater room. Nothing but nature behind this home, beautiful! Great communication with Catherine- thanks for sharing this special place (close to scalloping and the springs!)

This house accommodated our family reunion perfectly!
The kitchen had everything you needed and we were able to make gourmet meals every day. The pool was the highlight after being in the Florida heat.

If you're looking to get away, this is the place. We wanted a long weekend to decompress and looked into a cruise, then decided on something less chaotic and found this gem of a house on VRBO. We made the right choice, and plan on returning soon.

This home was beautiful online but even better when we arrived! It sat on a gorgeous piece of property with beautiful views! The house was large and comfortable and the movie room was jaw dropping! We also enjoyed the large swimming pool and had plenty of room for entertaining on the deck and patio. Then only negative was us having to leave too soon! We will be back for sure!

Had a wonderful time. Even though we had two days of rain, the children were able to swim every day. House was very comfortable. Theater was enjoyed by all.

The property is beautiful and and very relaxing. The outdoor amenities which include a pool, spa and basketball court are amazing. The property truly does make you feel as if you are staying at your own resort. The property manager was great to communicate with and was very informative and responsive. If you rent this property you won't be disappointed.

Just the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away! The pool and hot tub are fantastic and we had a great time fishing off the dock and kayaking in the canals. Wonderful location! Close and convenient to everything but still incredibly private and serene, surrounded by the gorgeous marsh. The theater and popcorn machine were also a total bonus. We’ll definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Our group consisted of 2 families 4 kids total. We enjoyed the warm pool and hot tub upon arrival. The theatre room and popcorn maker was fun and the host walked me through everything in the house. I will definitely look at coming back again.

Thoroughly enjoyed the home, the hurricane was a challenge and we weren’t really sure we could even go until literally the day before. Catherine did everything she could to make sure everything went smoothly, including the pool filling up with marsh water and even fish. We couldn’t actually get our boat back to the house so Boating from the backyard, well, the front yard wasn’t even an option because the salt river was so full of debris. Would love to come back when we could really go “scalping”! So maybe in the summer when the storms were all clear other than those challenges, the house was awesome.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! The house was perfect for hosting, cooking, entertaining. The pool is amazing and the views are beautiful. 5 min ride to Plantation and 10 mins to Pete’s Pier. Highly recommend.

Catherine has thought of just about everything in this home-games, movie theater, surround sound, kayaks. The pool and patio were fantastic, and there was a ton of space for our two families to spread out. We come to CR every year, and we’ll definitely be back!

This was a lovely property. Large home very clean. Pool and spa were very resort like. Very private as well. We had everything we needed. Enjoyed the surround sound music on the first floor and smart tv on patio. Less then 2 hours from Clearwater. Very relaxing will definitely come back

The home is beautiful and the pool is awesome. Hot tub attached at the top of the pool. Theater is great and you can stream your own content with Amazon and Netflix apps too. Owner was wonderful to deal with and would certainly stay here again.

A total of 10 - family members & close friends - celebrated a long Groondhog Day / 60th Birthday weekend. This house was wonderful! A truly great home for our needs & has so much room for numerous activities! Such a wonderful pool & hot tub area & lovely back porch. We even had a ping pong tournament! A 10+ rating from our group!!!

We LOVED our time at Dixie Shores! We were there on Christmas Day and Cathrine had decorated the house for us. Amazing to go the extra mile - we LOVED having not one but two decorated trees. Spending a week in this house with friends and family was the perfect way to end 2022. We watched movies in the theater, played lots of ping pong, went in the hot tub, swam with the manatees, kayaked, and cooked so many meals in her beautiful kitchen. It was the perfect house for our group of 10! And Cathrine is definitely the hostest with the mostest!

This was a fantastic property!! There was something for everyone in our group. We caught fish right off the dock, the kids loved watching movies in the theater and everyone enjoyed the privacy of the back patio/yard. Thanks for hosting us!!

With 3 grown boys, we need a 4 bedroom home. This place was perfect for our family. Movie theater, pool, dock and 4 bedrooms. Very well maintained and clean.

House was amazing. Only draw back was the dock did not have power or water for washing down the boat, and the waterways leading to the house are very shallow.

Some coworkers and I rented here for a scalloping trip. It is a great house for a larger group. Lots of rooms for privacy and nice big social areas. Pool is beautiful and basketball court was great. Docks are very nice and we were able to bring several 20ft boats. The property is nice and secluded as well. Owner is very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended!

Amazing property with pool, jacuzzi and basketball court. We used the boat dock across the street and went scalloping every day and then relaxed watching movies in the super cool theater room. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary this house is it!!

We had a lovely time in this beautiful home equipped with everything from clean linens, lots of table space, gorgeous pool and even a movie theater room.
The property manager was always available to answer any questions and check in and out was a breeze.
Short boat ride to scalloping grounds, close ice machine to fill coolers and a short drive to beach to watch a spectacular sunset.
We had all ages 3 year old, teens and adults. All had a great time.

Perfect Crystal River Getaway for Family
Something for everyone! I rented from Cathrine for my family: 6 adults and 4 grandkids ranging from 4-10. We came to go scalloping but the kids would’ve gladly stayed home the entire time! Large, well laid out pool and hot tub, basketball court, kayaks, dock and home theater. We enjoyed them all!

Our crew of scallop hunters thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property! dock is on a quiet canal, and it’s a short beautiful ride through Salt River to get to the main channel- 5 stars all around!

If you have a boat dock is great do know its a 45 min slow go to crystal river as it’s shallow w rocky bottom.
