Dirty sheet on one of the beds but no-one available (as we were out all day and evenings) to complain to. The shower base was grubby. Hot water far too hot. Found a half packet of peanuts behind the mirror on the window call. Found empty sweet packet on the floor.

The location was really good and it was great to be able to park. Staff were friendly. OK for one night in my circumstances as I was out early and back late after attending a wedding nearby.
The room wasn't 100% clean. Dirty mark - big smear of ketchup on valance, clearly dirty cup and no spoons or stirrers, burnt fingers retrieving tea bag. Someone's jacket was in the wardrobe. Was glad I'd brought my own pillow and dressing gown to sleep in. The lamp wasn't plugged in. I couldn't get the hot water to work in the shower. There was water left in the kettle. There is a large gap under door to outside, daylight visible through this; the basic latch lock was flimsy/faulty fitting, it didn't close properly every time without effort/ checking; I noticed after accidentally leaving it open thinking I'd closed it. Didn't feel safe without blocking door to sleep. Noisy extractor fan from next door room kept kept me awake for about 45 minutes in early hours. Think my stay was overpriced at £54 for this room (there is no breakfast but there is a sainsbury's local nearby where i bought something after checking out at 10am) in this condition. Given my timings, I didn't have the opportunity to address these issues when they arose but did feedback via messaging online, not sure if staff are aware as they didn't respond. Maybe room checks hadn't been done or this room is not usually available for booking?

Cosy comfortable rooms .

Not a lot
Got a twin room not a double, bathroom was dirty, second time I've been allocated the wrong room. They don't reply to emails to rectify. I walked in and walked out and no reply from messages!!

Decent amount of parking, reasonable value, quiet at night, tea and coffee making facilities in room. Pub attached. Allowed early check in which was really useful.
Rooms felt a little run down in general. Shower not great. Someone was already banging on our door at 9.40am on a Sunday - is that really necessary?

Room I was given was better than was expecting from looking on the website and in a purpose built chalet block seperate to the Pub, was of good size with everything I was wanting for one night stay and would be ideal for a longer stay.
Nothing found to dislike

I cant comment on the staff as I had little to do with them. The lication was perfect for the nature of my business
I couldnt sleep with the exit light on
I might as well have been sleeping in the carpark the room was that bright. The television didnt work. Who wants to listen to local radio?. Also I was dusturbed by noises outside..human or animal or rodents I'm not sure.

We used to live near by, and the location was perfect for us.
Nothing really.

Room was spacious with twin beds. Wifi worked well
There is no food at the pub, but a good Italian restaurant & a Weatherspoons in the High Street a short walk away.
Could add USB sockets to 1 of the 13 amp sockets in the room

Staff friendly car park secure
The mattress was terrible one of the worst mattresses I've ever stayed on & needs replacing
3.5
Great location for what I needed, free tea coffee and water, good wifi, friendly bar staff who showed me to my room, heating was on and adjusted by radiator, plenty of pillows which were needed
Only one socket near the single bed is charger cable didnt reach double bed. Bed was very hard and the duvet was stupidly thin. When I first arrived the radiators were on full, it was far too hot needed to prop the door open and windows.
Rooms are just very outdated

Booked for my parents, they said the facilties were clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly
The radiator was extremely hot even on the lowest setting, and so the room was uncomfortably hot upon waking up

Location, walking distance to all shops
The room. Perfect for a single traveller but not for an elderly couple who suffer with back problems, the mattresses were so cheap, very lumpy and very uncomfortable. The shower didn't work effectively it was either stone cold water or boiling hot....

Room was in a quiet location away from main pub and next to carpark. Very convenient. Nice shower. Lovely warm room.
Bed mattress was rather uncomfortable. Either needs replacing or a mattress topper.

Quiet room with hot shower. Good access and helpful staff. Drinks available.
Little bedside light did not work

Location and the price. The room was clean and serviced. Staff very friendly.
That there was no breakfast on site, but there were local cafes and bars that did provide food.

Great pub with rooms. I was a very late arrival. Landlord gave wonderful welcome and I enjoyed a very convivial evening. Excellent parking. Perfectly adequate room, decent shower. Good tea tray. Will use again if in the area.
