Great location and size for large groups. Right off the lake. There were alot of bees inside the cottage and one of us were stung which made the trip interesting. There is some minor work to be done. Projector was not working, one of the door handle to exterior was broken and more. However overall we had a great time at this location. Vanjil was great and accommodating.

Overall the stay was very good, there was enough space for everyone to sleep and more than enough washrooms. Lots to do, from playing volleyball to swimming in the lake.

The place is very large so our group of 22 had plenty of space. It was generally clean, but it could benefit from a renovation as both building and furniture are old. It is very close to Toronto, as well as major shopping centers and a casino.

The house was huge, spacious bedrooms, massive kitchen. Had everything you need for a group stay and then some. Really enjoyed the hottub and sauna. Close to town if you need more groceries or anything like that. Had an awesome time, hopefully can get another trip planned to go back another time!

Despite the wintery weather we had so much fun staying at this beautiful house. We turned on the fireplace for our indoor time, used the kitchen to create great meals that we served with proper ceramic dishes.
We used the resort's snow shows to walk on the snow into the frozen lake, and even watched a movie on the big screen.
We played music on the load speakers and danced, and then just relaxed on the big sofas. It was great and we will be back.

My family and I stayed at this property at the end of January. There was a total of 30 of us. The space was great, however we had many issues with cleanliness and safety.
-the main washrooms were extremely dirty and missing soap.
-the kitchens garbage had not been taken out.
-there were empty juice boxes in the games room.
-2 of the rooms had dead bugs on the beds
-the fridge had not been cleaned out- we found some fruit left, lots of crumbs and spilt juices
-we found socks from previous guests underneath the throw pillows on the sofas.
In terms of safety, there was a sign in the kitchen stating the stove fan needed to be turned on before cooking. We looked everywhere and could not find the switch. We called the host who himself was unsure of where it was and told us to just keep the doors open. This was a huge safety concern as it was a very large gas grill with no functioning fan. We were very uncomfortable with this but had no other choice.
There were also 3 rooms on the outside that were not accessible from the inside. That was not mentioned when booking and this made things difficult with children and trying to get to those rooms in the snow.
The host was responsive but unfortunately didn't have the answers. Once again, the space was great for a large group of people but unfortunately it was not clean and not safe in the kitchen.

This cottage is much bigger than what it looks like on pictures. Each family had their own room with a bathroom which is very unique. Communication with the property manager was excellent and always helpful.

The beds are very old and it is almost impossible to sleep in there, special in room 10.
In the kitchen is almost no electrical outlet working. Somehow somewhen the power tripped and was not reseted. Overall it was a nice stay and we will be back next year same time and hopefully we have good beds and electric power in the kitchen.

The host was very responsive with our matters and accommodating to our large group. Loved that every room had a washroom and the lake activities were a plus (lots of life vests).

It was a great spot for our family to spend time together and each have privacy as well, with so many bedrooms available. There was lots to do, a beautiful lake view, and a huge kitchen that was great to cook in for a large group. Vanjil was very responsive and helpful throughout the week. Thanks for hosting us.

Unfortunately, we had concerns with the host Vanjil during my group and I’s stay here. As soon as he asked how old my friends and I were, his tone completely changed... He would constantly remind us that quiet time was after 10pm outside, which we all complied with of course and whenever we would go outside at night, we didn’t play any music, we would be around the fire just talking and there was no yelling or screaming. With that being said, whenever the volume inside got remotely “high” it was still an issue for him, even though you couldn’t hear us outside at all. We made sure of that. He even went as far as filing a complaint with Vrbo in the middle of our stay there. It was one thing after another with him, and it quite honestly put a damper on the weekend to say the least. It’s unfortunate because this cottage is absolutely beautiful, and it was perfect for my sister and I’s birthday. I would have definitely considered going back and bringing my family, and even going as far as recommending it to other people but that isn’t the case here, and I won’t set foot back into that place because of Vanjil’s mistreatment.

We stayed at this property for five days for a family get to together. The owners were very responsive to all our requests. The cottage is outdated in several ways but each request was quickly resolved. The lake is weedy with a small area for swimming. The kitchen is perfect for large group. This is an ideal location for an two hour drive from Toronto. Thank you to Dory and V.J. For being so pleasant and easy to deal with.

Great cottage on a beautiful lake
Very spacious cottage on beautiful Lake Sparrow. All rooms were well kept, each room had own air conditioning unit and private bathrooms. Plenty of games and water activities to have fun with (volleyball, kayaking, etc). Would stay here again.

Exactly What We Needed
My group had a great time staying at this property. The private dock to a beautiful lake was a wonderful bonus. The property had everything we needed to keep us all entertained and relaxed all weekend. The privacy for each room was very convenient for our large group, as well. The living and dining room was spacious and there were great additional features (AC, hot tub, kayaks, 2 BBQs, just to name a few). Plenty of parking, too! Vanjil is a very gracious and generous host. We are very grateful that a large group like us was accommodated so well. Thank you for the great stay! I hope to return again some day.

Great place for a big group!
Where do I start? The cottage is spacious enough to fit a group of 30 and have everyone in the same room to hang out. Located right on the lake you can kayak/canoe and the sunrises/sunsets on the lake are amazing. There's a games room for kids which I have yet to see at a lot of other cottages I've stayed at. Each room has its own bathroom which is super helpful with that many guests. Lastly, the host, Vanjil, was very accommodating, easily reachable and went out of his way to make sure we got to the place safely given the weather conditions.

We booked this cottage for a wedding, we had no issues with the host initially. Was very accommodating and flexible. When we arrived there was an old wobbly bench so we moved it to the side hoping no one would sit on it. Someone did end up sitting on it and it collapsed. Advised the host, he said no problem just leave it where it is. Once we checked out. A few hours later I got a message saying we were being charged for a broken bench, broken paddle board(which was already broken, we weren't able to use it).

The property was great for a party. The host was tough to get in touch with ahead of time but once you had the correct number it was all good, the property is very spacious and well-stocked with activities. Great for a big group!

My family, friends and I rented this cottage for my sister’s 30th birthday. There was 20 of us and we rented the whole cottage. Here’s the breakdown…Likes: We really enjoyed that each guest had their own space to retreat to away from the common areas. Each bedroom had their own bathroom and AC controls, which was amazing. The kitchen was so big that we could all cook together and not feel cramped. Grass area was large enough for us to play many lawn games, hot tub, or sit under the shaded patio. Manager was quick to respond with all questions. He lives on the property so showed up instantly with anything you needed. Dislikes: swimming wasn’t that great. It was very weeded and shallow. There was also no space for our dog to walk into the water, as around the dock was all rock. Some areas of this cottage are dated and could use an upgrade. No noise after 10pm, so we needed to ensure everyone was inside. We did see one mouse in the kitchen. The cottage was fairly clean, but I’m assuming mice can get in somewhere. Not to any fault of the manager, but we lost power for 16 hours. It made our time a little more difficult, but we made the most of it. The manager was quick to provide us with a generator that would power a few things, and did provide a small refund for the inconvenience. Due to a miscommunication upon booking, I was told the damage deposit was included in the fee I was paying and that I would get it back. This is not the case! All in all, we had a great time. Lots of memories that we will cherish forever.
