LOCATION:
The guest house was built in 1968 but it was recently renovated. We are in the North Naples area (Bonita Shores) and our property is located 1.7 miles to the beach.
Our neighborhood is Bonita Shores. In Collier County. The place to be.
We are West of U.S 41 and are situated on 0.75 acres and we are located about 300 yards from the inland waterways.
Our Shores area is unique now as it is only partially re-developed.
Every other community in the Gulf Coast US 41 Corridor has been wrecked down and rebuilt over the years. Olde Naples is in their fourth renaissance and we are undergoing our first!
This may be the last time you can experience the Olde Naples as it used to be.
We have had three total generations grow up in our neighborhood and some of the descendants of the original owners are still here. We are a mature neighborhood with many people that have been here for a long time. Completely unique for our area now.
As a consequence of the owners and resident’s long-term domicile, the Shores is a very safe area and we are a very close and tightknit community.
We are a very unique neighborhood.
There are many reasons to stay to vacation West of US 41.
If you vacation farther East in Naples you have to contend with East and West traffic.
That can be difficult but it is very easy in the US 41 West Corridor to get wherever you want with no traffic, especially during the winter.
Our Shores property is not your typical 2/2 apartment complex built in Naples for snowbirds and tourists.
You will not be sharing the property with a lot of people coming down to Florida for the typical Naples or Florida “experience”
Local neighborhood, private and quiet.
Not an apartment building.
Everything is nice and clean and new but our property is old Florida. It’s the old Florida style.
Perfect location, nice and new and very spacious with lots of land in a very quiet neighborhood.
Because our area was built so long ago we are well developed and there are many opportunities for food, drink and shopping in our immediate neighborhood:

Everything as noted (and much more) is available without having to go onto the main roads! That is the key to being in the West area of US 41 corridor area instead of East of our area.
Mini golf and “ the Royal scoop“ ice cream store are within walking distance. We have many beach bars and other restaurants within walking distance.
Lovers Key State Park, Big Cypress Swamp Sanctuary and the Florida Everglades are all a short drive away.
Many kayaking and boating opportunities are available very close to us.
Southwest Florida international Airport is 22 miles north of us. It’s an easy drive on the Intestate to Bonita Beach Road and to your guest house.
You can drive the beautiful beach road to Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel and Captiva. All on back roads.
We have noted our favorite places. These areas are consistently popular with our visitors. We can assist you in devising a schedule based upon your interests. A nice neighborhood within DRIVING distance of a beach. Definitely too far to walk! That was misleading. Not a real kitchen but enough small appliances to make it work... Toaster oven, microwave and bunsen burner not a stove.
Cat hair everywhere.. We are both allergic and did not bring a pet! Bedding not real clean.
Owner not present as stated. We were not told they are selling the property with other tenants moving the whole time we were there..including needing their furniture out of our room. A bit disconcerting!
Does NOT sleep 6 people.
Washing machine leaking water all over the floor in front of it! I did not want electrocuted so did not go near it!
We love Florida and dont need perfect conditions just honesty!

Super clean, great location, beautiful guest home. Unfortunately, the owner notified us that she sold the home. Otherwise we would have definitely came back.

The property is very "tired" looking. I understand that Ginger is selling the property, but her realtor should have prompted her to have the property cleaned up to show it's true potential to a prospected buyer. The fridge was filled with used condiments, and such that should have been discarded after every rental. I have horrible allergies, and when I finally found the ironing board under the bed, I found that there had to have been a "dust bunny convention" and their convention center was under the bed. I did not feel comfortable in doing any type of cooking at all....it just didn't feel clean to me. There was no organization to anything. The "carport" was filled with stuff....EVERYWHERE.... I thought the property was a real mess!!!! I believe that when one is trying to sell a property like this, it's best to have the property picked up and looking at least refreshed. With just a little TLC,, paint, a real cleaning, this place could be a wonderful place to visit. This property could be a real gold mine to someone who is ready to take it on.

This has a great “studio apartment” type of feel. Large bed, a little “living room” area, kitchen table, and ample counter space with a large refrigerator and all the appliances you’d need to make yourself some real food while away from home.
Quiet neighborhood, close to the beach, in a small town, but with plenty to do around. And if you’re up for going out, good restaurants within a short drive.
I extended a work trip to get a little vacation, and this space was perfect. Everything was as expected and the hosts were communicative and accommodating.

The hosts did an incredible job converting this garage into an everything-you-need studio suite. It's private, quiet, and we were able to cook our traditional fillet and crab legs on our first night of vacation. It's the perfect location for exploring all of Southwest Florida from Manatee Bay to Naples. A perfect couples get away!

While the beaches are still closed due to hurricane impact, this nook provided a restful break for us in our travels and Bonita Springs is working hard to stay active. The private suite was outfitted with everything we needed to feel our best for exploring the Everglades.

We had everything we needed at this property. The long term tenant renting the house next to the the studio rental was very friendly. We were glad there were only 2 of us because 2 of the 4 bikes weren’t really functional. One had a flat tire and another had a rusty loose chain. Other than that, we were completely content with our stay. Keep in mind most of the recommended places to eat or visit are closed (possibly permanently) since Hurricane Ian.

The address thats listed on the listing says Naples however, the actual address is in Bonita Springs. The guest house was clean just a bit dusty and the garbage was full of beer cans.

This was just the right vacation stay for me and my family. The home was clean and well furnished, and the kitchen, family room and bedroom were all contained in one room. There is a separate room for the bathroom. It was like a modern version of a larger one room cabin. Except that the bathroom is inside in a separate room. There is a queen size bed and a hideabed. We stayed here with our two children and it was just right. It was similar to a Residence Inn only bigger and felt more like a real home. The hosts were gracious, generous and kind. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area!

This is a nice , roomy efficiency type cottage in a quiet neighborhood. Not fancy, but comfortable, great value . It is a little further from the beach than described.
I stayed there because I was taking a class in North Naples and I would stay again.

I will start off with the positives of this property.
It’s in a quiet neighborhood and it’s got lots of access to nearby restaurants, shops and the beach within a five minute drive. They have some great information inside the unit for getting around the area and menus. The California king mattress was extremely comfortable and they had some things you could use if making a quick meal such as a microwave, conventional oven toaster, coffee and tea maker. The woman in the main house is extremely friendly when we interacted with her.
There are some issues that we found in the unit:
First off the unit isn’t clearly marked by anything and we actually drove past it. It’s actually lacking curb appeal. The unit was marked as a “guesthouse” in the listing and it doesn’t seem like it should be marked as a “guesthouse.” There was issues with the front door locks. One lock works the other lock on the handle does not work too well and is loose.
There’s a carport that is outside between the unit and the main house, but to be honest the items in the carport doesn’t appear to be items to be for the guests, since there’s items such as a residential mower and motorcycle. As far as the necessary items for a beach trip there wasn’t any towels, chairs or mats, there was one umbrella inside the unit along with a wagon (we didn’t see it accessible until after our visit to the beach). Inside the unit the microwave and conventional oven toaster wasn’t cleaned out and there was food crumbs inside. The kitchen table was extremely sticky feeling. There was a few broken blinds in the kitchen. The laminate flooring in the unit is bubbling up.
The pull out couch bed is half-sunken in and half firm. All the pillows were stained and extremely worn. The bathroom shower area door doesn’t close completely and water does come out of the shower. The bathroom floor mats were extremely worn. In addition the bathroom door had issues with closing.
The AC units are older and they in are not only dusty, they have dirt on them and neither completely cooled the unit down. There’s not enough places to store wet items such as towels or to hang up bathing suits.

We booked this place for the first time a few years ago for a family stay. The main attraction for us was the ability to “bike to the beach”. That was so fine, we liked it! And the property owner, Ginger, was so nice !
So this year, we decided to book this place again. The listing description has not changed since we booked for the first time and shows four bikes on the pictures. Upon check-in, the lady was upset and she just welcomed us with a “sorry this day was hard, you can just take the keys and go inside the rental” (there had been a power outage during the day). We learned later this lady rents the main house and owner does not live there anymore. So we settled up and decided to take the bikes and go to the beach. There were only three bikes and we are a family of four. I wrote to the owner and the answer I got was “sorry but only 3 bikes”. Nothing more. I called VRBO customer service but it didn’t help. The owner ignored their call. And so we had to enjoy the beach paying an hourly parking fee. Moreover, the two small AC united are located just next to the main bed. During the night you have two options: feel like you’re on a highway because it’s so loudy or endure the heat. We paid more than a hotel for this place, because we wanted an experience. We did not feel welcome and the listing is not accurate. Next time I’ll rent an hotel room. It’s cheaper, you get a breakfast and a pool.

Condo was spacious with tons of amenities (shower stuff, towels, hair dryer, sunscreens, etc). There were bikes but we ended up renting a car so we did not use them. But the beach was further than I expected and I was so glad we had a car. We dined out and didn’t really use the kitchen amenities. The bathroom shower had very little pressure and was on the smaller side of you are a large human. The a/c kept the room cool but it was hot in Florida while we were there and wished for even more a/c but only during the hottest part of the day. Night was perfect. Laundry was a nice bonus to be able to use. We used beach towels, the umbrella, cooler, and a noodle. I looked twice for chairs and didn’t see any. That would have been nice to have too. With all the stuff I don’t know how you’d go on a bike. There are walkable restaurants though. It stormed every evening (another reason I was thankful for a car). The neighborhood was quiet and easy to locate. The bed was squeaky and wiggled like an earthquake when anyone so much as rolled over and for some reasons the sheets would not stay on well. There was a ticking noise at times in the a/c that kept me up but I’m a very light sleeper. The regular noise of the a/c was loud and acted like “white noise” for the most part which was nice. We drove up to sanibel/captiva and also down to Naples. Really nice area. Great location if you have a vehicle.

My family and I loved this adorable and cozy home close to the beach. We had an amazing time and were able to enjoy three of the area beaches because of the wonderful map they created for us. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend staying here!

Adequate & Convenient
The property owners were absent but checking-in was clearly communicated in advance. The property is a converted two car garage off of the home’s carport. The dead bolt door lock was not very secure due to no latch plate. No stove. Fridge was not clean. The toaster oven had no visible control panel indicators. Proximity to grocery store, beaches, putt putt and bar/restaurant was convenient. The mattress and sofa could use replacement .

GREAT PLACE FOR SLEEPING
The owners are wonderful! Excellent communication prior to and during our stay. Everything was as expected on the inside. The property and area itself was a bit rough for our taste. No where to sit in the shade and front yard landscaping was lacking. If you are just looking for an inexpensive place to sleep only, this is your place. Biking to the beach was out of the question. You need lots of gear for the beach, which they have so if you have a car, great. Otherwise you'll need to uber to the beach like we did. Overall, for my taste, a 4 because they were so sweet and easy to work with.

Affordable, nice place to stay
My family and I stayed here for a night as we were travelling around Florida. It's located a short distance from a couple of beaches and restaurants, either within walking distance or a short drive. There were plenty of beach amenities available for use: umbrella, boogie board, noodles, beach towels. We watched the sunset on Bonita Beach. Parking was $2 an hour. The room itself was nice and clean and had plenty of room for everyone. We cooked dinner, played a board game, and watched a movie. We met the owner and she was very nice. It was an affordable, nice rental, and I recommend it.

Great Stay
We were only here one night during a road trip, but it was a great stay, had everything we needed, and was nice and clean. For us, the best part was the beach/driving recommendations, which took us on a nice tour of Bonita Shores/Naples which we would have missed otherwise.
