Superb location on top of a hill inside an old castle. Spacious, elegant and clean room, comfortable bed.
The manager was not very talkative / friendly to us. Actually, we had a car accident (flat tire) on our way to Bovino and when we informed him from the road the only answer from him was "OK". He did not really show any kind of interest or offered help.
Welcoming upon arrival or the morning after for breakfast was also rather cold. I think that for the category of this very nice place, this aspect should be improved.

Unbelievable spot in the castle, perfect stay, great panorama
Very simple breakfast

How very cool to stay in the Duke's palace in a for real castle in the most charming medieval hill town. It's remarkably good value and the staff couldn't be more diligent.
Nothing

Loved the Hotel, the views were great from the rooms, beds nice a comfy, nice staff very friendly and helpful, the breakfast that you get is massive almost too much for us to eat, the food was very tasty and great coffee.
Nothing to add all great for us.

Wonderful and unique environment.

The location,an actual restored castle, was spectacular. The town of Bovino, located just downhill, is very picturesque. Our room had an amazing view of neighboring hills and valleys
Our room was large and a little chilly. Returning to the hotel in the evening, our route back was not well lit.

The Castle is from the medieval times and was built on top of a Roman fortress. Amazing views and beautiful scenery. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the gentleman who checked us in was very nice. our bathroom was great.
the overheads lights kept flickering

The location is superb - right on top of the hill in Bovino with views for miles. The centre of the village is a short walk away, and we loved running through the ancient alleys and paths up to the castle. In October, we were the only guests there and it felt like we owned the castle which was fun for the kids! The breakfast was fresh and delicious. A jam tart, some croissants and cereals on offer along with jams and spreads. Nothing savoury - but all very tasty nonetheless. Lots of tea options. Room facilities were good - dental kits, shower caps, shampoo and slippers. The superior room was absolutely cavernous in size. The triple was smaller, but still very comfortable for our children. Would recommend and return. In off season, be very accurate with your arrival time as we said 4-5pm and were half an hour early, only to find the place locked up. We couldn’t get through on the phone but just before 4pm, the receptionist arrived and very kindly checked us in. He had been in an area without cellphone reception. Some signage outside would have been good - we were starting to panic a little at that point!
There was a mini-bar in our room but it ran a little warm.

Historic property that was partially converted to house a B&B. The museum resides there as well. The setting is lovely.
The road leading to the entrance is a little hard to find. A sign for the driveway would be helpful.
4.7
Spacious rooms. A little too religious and medieval feeling but overall a great location and stay. Breakfast was spectacular.

beautiful restored castle with furnishings to match. right next to best walking streets in old town.

Amazing location in the castle of Bovino. We arrived at night and driving up the lit driveway is an experience by itself. The rooms are enormous and beautifully decorated. After checkout they opened the museum for us to have a look (recommended!) and we could leave our car there while we went on a stroll through the picturesque old town.
all was as expected

I highly reccomend Residenza Ducale. I found it conformed 100% to the internet descriptuion.
Location is super, Room was well equipped and breakfast was very nice.
Francesco, was very helpful.
Waze does not direct you to the right point. It is really tough to find the easy way to the parking/entrance of the place.
Management shud give clearer tips on this issue.

Great to stay in a castle with so much history . Great views of the country side .The host was very helpful.

Special atmosphere in sleep in a castle.

We had a wonderful stay for two nights in Castle Ducale, it is a very special location considering age and history. We would highly recommend this location for anybody wishing to visit Bovino
A timed control of the lights in the corridors

First of all, the location is unbelievable (in a castle), with views overlooking most of Bovino. Then our room was super spacious, well decorated and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My girlfriend and I couldn't believe what a score this place was!
4.7
The staff were amazingly helpful and hospitable
The beds were too firm.

This is the best place to stay in Bovino! Wooonderful staff and stunning property.
Nothing.

This was an awesome experience. The castle surpassed my expectation. The room was so big, we could have played basketball in it. The property was clean and very comforting. It really was a special experience to stay in a castle. It was like being allowed to stay in a museum. A traditional Italian breakfast was offered. There were sweets and pastries offered as well as coffee an tea. It was a comfortable setting
The town of Bovino is a quintessential hilltop community with friendly residents. It was beautiful. We had a great dinner at Osteria Ndo' Save'rie Lu Conte. If you like traditional Italian cuisine, I highly recommend it. It was truly an experience to remember. I only wish we stayed longer.
It was a little difficult to find the entrance. Somehow the GPS sent me into the town center. This is a bit troublesome if you aren't comfortable driving on the narrow streets. If better coordinates could be used for GPS, that would be great

Carmen Carella went out of her way to make our stay a pleasant one. Great everything! Must visit

The location inside the castle is incredible! If you want to have a affordable night inside a castle in your life, choose this B&B. The rooms are spacious and modern with nice fitting interior. The modern room heater was a welcome pleasure. Staff was very friendly. Parking is for free just in front of the castle.
The breakfast was OK, Italian style with mostly sweet choices. Some ongoing constructions works inside the castle. The check-in was possible after we called the owner. Not so clear how to enter as there were no signs and no door-bell.
4.7
Breakfast was good
The room was spacious, nicely decorated and practical with a watercooker and a small fridge
Parking was as expected
Staff was helpful when present
Good WIFI
The bed was very uncomfortable.
The building was under renovation, so only the B&B part was accessible, not the grounds, not the museum: I stayed in the castle without being able to see it.
The check-inn was stressful. After a search expedition in the dark with the help of a local boy, we finally located the entrance behind the building fences so we had to trespass the building site in order to find the entrance to the B&B. The hotel should have informed me.
Staff was often not present.
4.7
Location favolosa, all'interno del castello.
Decisamente suggestivo, in pieno centro.
