Welcome to Toes in the Sand.

Come relax for the week and discover one of North Carolina’s best kept secrets. Featured in Southern Living's best tiny towns, Topsail Beach is a "delightful throwback to the seaside getaways of your childhood." We love the uncrowded beach which makes for great shell and shark teeth hunting. Waking up in the morning to see shrimp boats just off the coast followed by dolphins is a treat.

Spend your days swimming, surfing, fishing and relaxing on the sand before you head back inside to enjoy dinner with a spectacular view! The sunrise and sunset are stunning. It just doesn't get any better than this.

Topsail Island consists of 3 areas, Topsail Beach, Surf City and North Topsail Beach. We are just a couple miles over the Surf City Line which makes us central to the 26 mile Island. We are convenient to all areas of the Island including many favorite restaurants, local favorite dives, and walking distance to the wonderful Andrews Produce. Two bridges allow access to the Island and we are central to both!

There are granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and plank floors throughout . Enjoy one oceanfront King master suite and one Queen master suite, both with access to one of the two beachfront decks. Both master suites offer private bathrooms. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms offer 2 twin beds each and share a bathroom. There is extra sleeping space available in the top floor living room with a queen sleeper sofa. A half bath is also located on the top floor. All bathrooms have been recently updated with new vanities, sinks, and toilets.

This 4 Bedroom 3 1/2 Bath home will feel like home away from home with high speed internet, TV’s with cable in all the bedrooms, and smart TV’s in the living room and master bedroom. An assortment of board games, cards, books, puzzles and a fully equipped kitchen make for a fun day even when you’re not out enjoying the beach. The dining room table seats 6, and another 4 sit comfortably at the counter. Laundry is conveniently located on the first floor adjacent to the bedrooms.

An enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower awaits for easy rinse off after a great day at the beach!

This home is only used by guests for 3 summer months, and lovingly frequented by the owners for the remainder of the year.

A couple beach chairs and a small umbrella are available. If you prefer or you need extras, they can be rented through a local company, along with beach games at either Topsail Island Beach Service (topsailislandbeachservice.com), or Sand to Sea Rentals (https://sand2searentals.com).

Absolutely no events such as weddings, sororities, fraternities, bachelor or bachelorette parties etc. If you plan to party do not book this house. It is our home and we hope you'll treat it like you'd like others to treat yours.

No Pets~

Security cameras are not inside the property nor on the decks for your privacy. However, we do have a driveway/carport area camera for security and protection of our home.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Toes in the Sand. The beachfront home had stunning views of the ocean, and was perfect for getting on and off the beach with ease. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas for our vacation, but thankfully we had plenty of space in the house with games and things to do while we waited out the rain. When the sun came out we could easily go down to the beach since we were so close. Cheryl was a wonderful host that was very responsive whenever we needed to reach out, I would highly recommend renting from her and visiting this property if you are looking for a relaxing beach stay in N. Topsail!

House was EXACTLY as shown in photos. Gorgeous views from inside and outside the home. Kitchen was well equipped…we had everything we needed. Beach toys, chairs, umbrellas were available. Beds comfy, laundry very nice and convenient to have. Host very helpful and responsive. Deck and walkway to beach was perfection…beach is actually closer than it looks. Produce stand with fresh ice cream, desserts, baked goods, boiled peanuts and jams practically across the street was really great to have. Very happy with our week and hope to rent again on our next visit!!!

What a great place to stay! It's right on the beach, perfect for playing in the ocean & walking the beach scouting for shells/shark teeth. Mornings were spent watching the sunrise & nights watching the moon rise over the ocean.

Couldn’t have asked for a better week at the beach! The location was amazing…beach was never overly crowded. The home was immaculate and beautifully decorated. You can tell it is a well loved home by the owners! The kitchen is so well stocked with anything you could think of needing for a week at the beach and more! The beds and bedding were so very comfortable and views were absolutely breathtaking! The owner was so quick to respond and great to work with! Thank you “Toes in the Sand” for being providing a dream vacation for our family…looking forward to coming back again!!!

Awesome place for a week at the beach! Had a total of 10 of us (4 adults, 6 kids) and the place worked out great for our week. We waaaay overpacked as the house had everything we needed. Super clean, and nicely kept. Beach front was fantastic. Even though you’re attached to two other units, we barely saw and never heard our neighbors. 10/10 would recommend!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Toes in the Sand. From start to finish, communications with our host were detailed, timely, and very helpful. The view of the ocean from the house's two decks was breathtaking and the beach was a short walk, exactly as advertised in the photos and description. The house was very clean, the linens provided were all fresh, and the amenities in the house made us feel right at home and signaled that the host gave a lot of thought to the decor and conveniences. Any questions were immediately responded to by our host and the keyless entry was fantastic for easy access to (and locking up) the house. One example of the excellent hospitality from our host - we discovered that the grill had a burner out and I notified the host for their awareness. Without hesitation, they replaced the grill the next day with a brand new grill and set everything up so that we would be able to utilize it right away. Talk about responsiveness! We would strongly recommend any families looking for a relaxing time away to book here. Evenings were peaceful and quiet, the private beach was amazing, and we were all so grateful to have the time together at this beautiful property. Many thanks to our hosts, Cheryl and Joe! We look forward to our next stay!

This an ideal beach property exactly as pictured on the listing. The accommodations are modern, clean, comfortable, very well appointed and tastefully decorated. We prepared most of our meals here and every kitchen tool, gadget and serving dish were provided above and beyond what we expected. The owner was very considerate and always responds in a timely and helpful manner. Love, love, love this beach house. Will definitely return.

This is our second year leasing this property. House is nicely furnished. Access to beach can’t be beat. Kitchen has everything you might need to cook with.. Cheryl reacts quickly to any issue or question. My only issue is finding the driveway, especially at night.

We had the best week staying at this Property. Cheryl was incredibly communicative before and during our stay. The house was very clean upon arrival and exactly as described. We saw dolphins from the deck the first evening!!! Kitchen was fully equipped - probably the best I’ve experienced at a rental. This is an end unit and we were stunned at how sound proof it was. Our neighbors the week we stayed had 3 small children. We didn’t hear them once! Very private. And you cannot beat the location.

Toes in the Sand is a beautiful home right on the beach! The area was very quiet and the home was extremely well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our trip! We had 8 adults and there was plenty of space to spread out, cook, and just relax. Cheryl has stocked the home with every utensil, dish, and pot/pan you can imagine as well as spices, oils, and other items needed to cook. A great time was had by all!

Our family had a great time staying here for our beach vacation. This was our first time in Topsail and we loved the beach, the water and how peaceful everything is there. The house was clean and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed for our stay - the welcome basket with supplies was a nice touch. Even the sheets brought a smile to our faces: expecting boring, white rental sheets our girls were pleasantly surprised by the fun prints. Overall a great house - would definitely book again!
