After having a few bad experiences with homes not living up to expectations and their profiles, I went into this trip holding my breath. This home and its owners have completely restored my faith in this process. I was completely blown away by the property, proximity to adorable little towns and things to do, amenities and thoughtful gestures by the owners, and the welcoming community. I visited with my parents, siblings’ families, and my husband and kids. We brought out that we kept on the dock all week, but we ended up using it less than we thought due to the weather but mostly because everyone was enjoying the pool, kayaks and paddleboard just as much!! The beds are super comfortable and the long driveway for kids to bike with a stop to say hello to the chickens was a daily event. My boys spent most of the week fishing and crabbing from their beautiful dock catching fish on the regular to keep them excited and engaged! Dug in Farms is an amazing little farmers market only a few miles down the road, which is a much see!! My only regret is not living closer so that we could visit more often. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed!

We have booked multiple “baycation”rentals over the years for ourselves, our grown children and most recently, our young grandchildren, and can state without a doubt that Bricks Bay was by far the very best! The location was perfect with an excellent dock for our 29-foot boat, a large sandy beach up the cove to drop anchor and nearby quaint towns for dining and shopping; the home was spacious and elegant yet comfortable, and the property provided so many entertainment options that we never got to the kayaks. Here are a few of our favorite things: watching the grandkids feed the chickens and collect eggs, catching crabs (and letting them go) off the dock, and spending the hottest hours of a heat wave in and by the pool and evenings at the firepit. Everyone loved the outdoor shower, movie room, view of the bay and sky from the enormous floor-to-ceiling window, comfy mattesses and convenient elevator.
Thank you, Doug, for sharing your magnificent place and for all the well-organized and helpful information provided before and during our visit.

We selected this home for our family vacation. Six adults and three children ages 9,7 and 5.To say we had a good time is an understatement. We had a wonderful week doing so many fun things. Swimming in the pool, swimming in the creek, fishing, crabbing, basketball, and feeding the chickens was great. My Grandchildren said this was the BEST house we hade ever stayed in. We ate most of our meals at the house and had everything we needed to cook and then some. Highly recommend this house and the wounderful host, Doug. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed at Bricks Bay for a week with another family—in total 4 adults and 5 kids. Between the pool, crabbing at the pier and the great garage game room with ping pong table, there was something for everyone. The house was well-stocked and had plenty of lounge and hang out areas. Everyone was happy.

We have been home for four days and have wanted to go back every single day! Bricks Bay is absolutely breathtaking with resort worthy amenities. Between the sprawling property, beautiful pool and picturesque dock it was the perfect location to spend much needed family time. I highly recommend renting a boat and exploring the inlet. Doug was absolutely amazing with communication and providing recommendations on things to do and restaurants to enjoy in the area. We absolutely found our new summer tradition at Bricks Bay Estate and are counting down the days until next year!

Our family rents a summer house for a week each summer..this property was one of the best. A beautiful home, wonderfully decorated, with lots of space to hang together or have a little private time. We were there in a heat wave, so we got a lot of use out of the pool, but managed to sneak in some foosball, darts and ping pong in the garage game room. We also enjoyed kayaking and using the stand up paddle board to examine the beautiful scenery more closely. And the steam shower in the master bathroom was fabulous. My personal favorite was the chicken coop..watching the hens swinging on their little swing, and gathering fresh eggs every morning. Doug was very responsive, and answered all our questions quickly..a great experience.

We had an amazing time at Bricks Bay Estate.
We enjoyed crabbing, kayaking, and the large saltwater pool was a hit with the kids! They have plenty of games for the whole family to keep busy. We also brought our boat down. The boat ramp is right next door & we were able to dock the boat all week at the estate, so convenient! We enjoyed morning fishing & boat rides on the bay.
Doug and Karen were great hosts! We will definitely be back again soon.

Wonderful vacation!
We returned home a few days ago from our stay in this incredible property with our seven kids, ages 10-21. We have rented a large vacation home every year for the past six or seven years, and this was our favorite by a mile. The property is a magical mix of fancy but also outdoorsy, complete with an amazing saltwater pool, crab catching (!!! For real!!!) basketball, and chickens! (For real!!!). What a blast. Doug and his family were wonderful hosts! We’ve never visited a vacation property twice, but we all agreed that we’d love to vacation in this beautiful home again someday:).

We were a small family of 3 adults with a couple friends joining for an overnight. This house exceeded our expectations. Very clean. Well stocked, spacious kitchen with lots of spices provided. Six people can sit at the kitchen bar; we didn’t even use the dining room but it’s big too. Nice Kuerig. Beautiful home, yet casual and inviting in every way. The owner communication was fantastic and very friendly. Saltwater pool is huge! Probably 20x40ish so lots of room for the floats. Lots of beach towels provided which was awesome. Clean, spacious, beautiful brick pool surround with very nice chaise lounges and umbrellas. Short stroll to the trex boat dock with lower floating deck to easily put kayaks and boards in the water. Getting up and out was a bit comical though, lol. Even though there are neighbors (we met some), it’s peaceful and quiet. Nice long driveway and cross street for a quick, easy run. Loved morning coffee listening to the songbirds. Big garage -clean and fun to play ping pong, albeit competitive in my group. New brick fire pit was our fav. S’mores and drinks every night. Buy your wood bundles at local hardware store. Quality throughout especially w beds, linens, furniture. Sonos whole house system. Rinnai tankless water so no cold showers. Beautiful master bedroom and enormous master bath (pics don’t do it justice). Media room full of fun games. Easy 5-10 min drive to White Stone and Kilmarnock. The owners really put great effort into this home. You will not regret renting here. So easy to feel at home and so hard to leave! We will def return.

My family and friends stayed here over Labor Day weekend. The house was very spacious, beautifully decorated,, immaculate, with a lot of amenities (i.e pool, fooseball table, ping pong table, paddle board, kayaks, canoes, fishing poles, crab traps/pots, badminton set, movie room, fire pit, etc). We enjoyed crabbing and kayaking over the calm waters. Doug was very responsive and went out of his way to make us feel very welcomed with a nice gift basket and allowed us to check in early which we greatly appreciated. We all had a great time and would love to come back in the near future.

Luxury, Amenities and Fun in White Stone
My extended family (6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 15-6 years old) had a wonderful stay at Doug's gorgeous home. The house and all amenities (pool, pool floats/toys, kayaks, etc.) are high quality and in fantastic condition. The property is well stocked, with many items provided for convenience and comfort. We were able to enjoy fishing, crabbing, kayaking and playing in the pool for hours. The kids loved the movie room and ping pong table. Doug is so easy to work with (amazingly quick to respond to questions/requests) and provided helpful guidance and suggestions during our stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay in the Northern Neck.

Very nice home with a number of special touches- Free floating staircase, elevator (teen with disability - a big help), excellent pool. Large number of visitor friendly additions - ping pong, dart board, kayaks, Weber grill, fire pit with all the makings for s'mores, excellent Keurig coffeemaker, available pool towels, very ample parking. This was an excellent end destination for our extended family (adult children and grandchildren). Although the location is a bit remote, that was perfectly OK as Covid-19 was resurging. I liked the coffee maker so much that my children got me the same model for a birthday present! Also nice to have an 11 AM checkout rather than the usual 10 AM. Host, Doug, was so easy to work with, making this such a memorable experience! Many other benefits too numerous to mention!

This house was truly like an oasis for our family vacation. The long, private driveway opens into a picture-perfect, manicured front yard. The house itself is absolutely beautiful !! As you enter through the front door, you are met with a grand foyer, with a beautiful stairway coming down and hugging the wall. The floor to ceiling windows allow bright light and sunshine to permeate throughout the whole house. As we explored each room, we were met with tastefully decorated and elegant surroundings. Everything was clean and meticulously kept. The kitchen is fully equipped with super modern appliances and has an abundance of dishes, glassware etc. The pool was the highlight of our stay and was enjoyed by all three generations of the family. Pool house is fully stocked with life jackets, floaters and other fun stuff. We also enjoyed the extended yard and sat by the dock a few times. In clear nights, we also stargazed and it felt like you could reach and touch the stars, a sight we don’t get in New York City. All in all, we had a WONDERFUL stay. We will certainly return!! Doug was just amazing to work with and he made this house into a home for us this past week. Loved every minute of our stay!
