About this house rental
Relaxed and family friendly, our farmhouse, cottage-style home is mostly furnished with vintage pieces from the mid -1900’s for those who enjoy a quaint and cozy, retro feel. It features a large sun porch which opens into a well equipped, eat-in kitchen. The bright, comfortable living room overlooks spacious lawns, and its mature trees and shrubs provide a lot of privacy in this residential part of town. The first floor master bedroom has a queen-size bed and is adjacent to the first floor bathroom which is equipped with washer, dryer, and full-sized tub/shower. The dining room has sliding doors opening onto the front deck. On the second floor, you’ll find 2 bedrooms, one with twin beds and one with a full-size bed. The second floor bathroom has a tub.
The home is within walking distance of downtown Bucksport and its waterfront walk, Miles Lane walking and bike trails, and public pool. The town has a grocery store, restaurants, small shops, a bookstore, a movie theatre, and several churches. The Penobscot Narrows Obsevatory and Fort Knox are just a few minutes away by car.
For those who wish to see more of coastal Maine, there’s lots do within an hour drive: Acadia National Park, Schoodic Peninsula, and numerous state parks. Nearby “visitor destination” towns include Bar Harbor, Blue Hill, Belfast, Castine, Camden, and Rockport. Numerous lighthouses and ferry services to some of the islands of Penobscot Bay are also close by. Centrally located within the Mid-Coast and Down East regions, our home is the perfect place from which to explore and experience coastal Maine.

We stayed at this property over the 4th of July week. The house was very comfortable for our family of 4, kids 7 and 5. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen had the necessities, laundry on site, nice outside sitting, family dinner table for games, and property to run around or hang out.
Bucksport was centrally located for all our adventures. Acadia multiple days, Belfast, Freeport/Bailey Island, Bangor and more. We attended the 4th of July festivities in Bangor.
Denise and Adam were very responsive and welcoming!
We would definitely stay again if our travels bring us back to Maine.

Adam (the host) sent us a welcome email right after our booking. He also answered our questions promptly.
The check-in was very smooth. The house was super clean and well equipped. It has plenty of sheets, towels, cooking utensils and fast internet connection. The host gifted us a bottle of nice wine and a dozen organic eggs.
The location of the house is ideal. It is in the center of the town and it is surrounded by neatly cut grass and trees. You can relax in the sunroom or on the porch.
The owner tried his best to resolve any issues we had encountered during our stay as soon as possible.
We will rent this house again if we make another trip to Bucksport.
Thank you Adam and Denise.

We spent a week at this house and had a great time. The house was clean and tastefully decorated. Plenty of space for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. Adam met us upon arrival and was very responsive during our stay. Nice and quiet neighborhood, about 45-60 min to Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor. Thank you and we hope to be back!
