About this cabin rental
This cabin is perfect for a couple with two kids, 3-4 adults, or a small group of friends looking to spend tranquil time on the water. Although small, it maximizes the space available and has a nice linear kitchen with everything you will need. The main cabin has a comfortable queen bed in a small bedroom and a set of twin bunks in the back room that acts like another bedroom. It also has a beautiful bunk house called the "Loon's Nest" that is located about 90 feet off the main cabin. The Loon's Nest has a King Bed (that can be split into two twins) and another double bed. This bunkhouse is perfect for a second couple or older children to give everybody their private space, however it does not have a bathroom or plumbing. The camp has a nice covered porch that leads to a fireplace overlooking the pond; great for evening relaxing and warming by the fire to cook s'mores. Lawns on either side of the cabin provide great games areas and the community is extremely quiet and private. A great staging area to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park (50 minutes away) and a breathtaking view across the pond of Peaked Mountain as the foliage changes. Two single kayaks, a canoe, life jackets, included. 5 miles from a full-service grocery store. We are not here to deceive you, this cabin is small and does not offer luxurious walk-in closets or large areas to drop off days of luggage. The bathroom is very small- but totally functional. The bedroom is also very small and only allows room for the bed. However, if a beautiful, quiet, classic Maine log cabin that is extremely clean and cozy are your style, you will love staying here. Very kid-friendly for swimming, playing, and fishing, but not great for more than 2-3 kids staying at a time unless some are teenagers that want the bunk house to themselves. Great base camp to hit Acadia National Park or the Maine coast. The kitchen has a propane range and oven and is well stocked with all your essentials. There is a conventional propane grill outside and also a Blackstone flat top ready to use. A heat pump
Allows for nice warm heat on chilly fall nights or cooling the whole cabin down for great sleeping on warm September days.
Not only are we a great staging area to Acadia National Park, great hiking can occur right from the cabin with a few local trails and mountains that we have listed in a welcome guide.

This was an amazing stay and over and above what we anticipated. The cabin was excellent in all ways. It overlooks an incredible pond with a gorgeous view. It has a covered porch, a granite fire pit, then down to an outdoor deck and a large dock on the pond. We were so fortunate to be there during fall foliage so the view across to the mountain was stunning!!! We made several camp fires and enjoyed the quiet and stillness and during the day a pair of loons entertained us. A gem in Maine that we will not forget!!! Highly recommended!!!

Absolutely picturesque cabin (well actually two cabins!). Wish we could have stayed a week! The dock is amazing. Did some yoga there and enjoyed some drinks in the afternoon sun there. Life get good then.
One thing to note is that the water comes from the lake so it is only for washing. There is a refillable water fountain (think big plastic jugs) for all your potable water needs. Not a big deal, but just a heads up.
Also, I’m not sure if the Loon’s Nest is heated, but it’s very well insulated and my buddy had no complaints sleeping through a 40 degree night there. There is an extra ceramic spot heater there, which he didn’t need to use.

We stayed for a long weekend with a group of friends to attend a concert in Bangor. This cozy cabin was beautiful!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to staying here again in the future! It was clean, cozy, had every amenity you could think of (we couldn't light the grills though). We can't wait to come stay in the warmer months so we can enjoy swimming in the lake and the awesome slide, docks, canoe, kayaks and paddle boards! This cabin is so close to some great sight-seeing as well, Bucksport and Fort Knox! The cabin is small and has only one small bathroom but it worked for us just perfectly and helped a lot to have the bunk house "Loons Nest" to accomadate our group. We will be back for sure!!! Thank you so much to our host, Caleb!! A phone call/text away for anything we needed! :) Wonderful, peaceful stay!! Loved it!

Really lovely place to stay. Rustic cabin but clean and very well stocked with extras (tea, smores ingredients, wood in fire pit, even a crock pot.... ). Pretty location with clear pond and so nice to watch and hear the loons! Small separate extra cabin was a bonus. Any things we needed were quickly taken care of by the owner. Beds were comfortable and plenty of towels and bedding. Would stay here again.

Cute Cabin on the water
Overall our week long stay was amazing at this cute cabin on the water. Our kids loved kayaking and adventuring in the woods. Our only challenge was space inside. The property says sleeps up to 8, but for two adults and four children with luggage for a week-long stay we were definitely cramped. There was no room at all for even 1 piece of luggage in the "master bedroom" so luggage for all 6 of us was on the floor in the second room. There is definitely sleeping space for 8 max, just not your bags. The living room was a good size for family gathering. Kitchen was cute but no inside table for family seating. This would be perfect for a smaller family or couple or for a shorter trip with less luggage needed.
