Great location and fab decor! Young staff were extremely nice and tried to be helpful but a bit more training would benefit them and the guests
Poor light in room...and no desk
didn't look at all like photos as they had multiple properties

Staff were friendly
The room wasn’t the cleanest, there was even cobwebs hanging in the order of the room. The wallpaper was pealing in spots. It had snowed that night and they didn’t clean the walkway.
4.3
Walking distance to restaurants
Limited parking

The historical element is the reason we stayed there.
The grounds would have been beautiful but the flower urns were empty and the gardens well really weedy, the entrance unswept etc. Its was the end of June.

Beautiful hotel! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and our stay was wonderful

Clean, comfortable room in a gorgeous historic building. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great location from which to walk to Charlottetown’s downtown and waterfront.
4.3
Room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Everything worked well. Breakfast was excellent...simple, fresh ingredients, well prepared.
Restroom in the dining area needed some attention. I should have made a note of accessibility requirements as there was no elevator.

Love the room with balcony access :)

Common areas and dining room were historic and beautiful.
Overall the exterior and grounds of the property are getting tired looking and need to be refreshed. The dead bolt lock on my room did not work and there was no soap for the shower.

Very friendly receiving staff. Great sized suite with a comfortable bed. Plenty of free parking and ideally located for exploring Charlottetown.
Some of the fixtures were in need of some maintenance and a critical eye from the management given the cost of the suite. Main suite air conditioner was running but not actually cold. Shower door seal had a section missing so first time I used to the shower water had flowed across the washroom floor and up to the hallway. Clearly happening for a while as I then noticed the baseboards were rotten around the door exactly where the water ran to. Both bath tap handles were completely loose and could be lifted off. Nothing that would affect the stay - just little things which can be easily fixed.

We loved the location- we could walk every where we needed to go while enjoying the sites of downtown. We could eat out at the local restaurants, have a drink and not worry about driving- we brought our dog, which was an added bonus. The Inn had so much history, the grounds were well kept, lots of seating outside on the deck or in a gazebo on the property. We definitely would go back. My only suggestion would be if breakfast was included in the price of accommodations- but not a deal breaker.
The room isn’t sound proof and we could hear the people above us

Garden was very nice. Wish we had a room in any other of the buildings. They looked far better than the one we were in.
No hot water on 2nd morning!! No access to coffee/tea in building onsite. Dim doorway to room enterence, thus, could not find key hole for key. Bed was very squeaky and mattress was very uncomfortable.
4.3
Location is excellent - you can walk anywhere and there are decent restaurants nearby. So convenient to have a good breakfast served daily and tea and coffee/espresso 24/7. The staff are terrific - very friendly and one feels at home. Very comfortable common living room where I could read and crochet.
I did think the breakfast was a little better in 2019 when we were last able to visit due to Covid. But that was at a different time of year so perhaps that's why.

We LOVED our stay! Fairholm will have us booking boutique inns for every future trip! The owners were lovely and helpful. The property was so comfortable and absolutely beautiful, thank you for preserving history in these buildings.
4.3
The staff service was great. Very friendly and informative. Great contact and was able to check in early. Beautiful rooms. I didn't breakfast, but the Expresso machine was great! Loved my room, classic, but with a touch of modern.
No concerns or issues.

our first room had an odour that was quite strong. We had to be moved to a new room each night. Packing and unpacking each day was inconvenient for enjoying our days in Charlottetown.
4.3
We always prefer to book our stay with boutique hotels rather than large chains, and the Fairholm was perfect for us. The hotel is spread over three beautifully restored buildings. Although the original outside beauty was maintained, inside the rooms are modern with every convenience. There is ample off-street parking. Restaurants and shops are an easy walk away.
There was nothing to dislike about this property. From our initial greeting when we walked in the door until we left three nights later, it was a perfect stay.

We loved that we were able to bring our dog with us. The inn was very charming and location great. The grounds were lovely and breakfast delicious.and last The staff were warm and friendly.
There was nothing not to like. An outdoor garbage bin for dog waste would have been helpful.
