Everything
it was a bit hard to get to, but that’s what you have to do if you want to stay in such a beautiful spot.

Such a great memorable experience waking up in the clouds. Plus the climbing was exceptional

I liked everything about my stay. The staff were very kind and attentive. The room was incredible and the view was unbelievable, words or pictures just don’t do it justice. The food was so good using fresh ingredients and of high quality.
Nothing, the hotel, staff and service were incredible.

It was truly a memorable experience - one no one would forget any time soon. We had the most amazing stay at Vertical Sky. Rooms are so beautifully decorated and comfortable. Before we even arrived, they checked with us to make sure we were able to make our way there (not the easiest route for taxis) and could arrange transport for us. The moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs. Everyone we met was really professional, helpful, kind and friendly. They made the effort to remember our names and to take special care of us. You will have to trek to your rooms a little but its worth it as the rooms had spectacular and out of the world views. The price you pay for the experience includes activities such as flying fox, via ferrata and its highly recommended that you partake in this. The guides at the hotel were extremely professional and great fun. Also, we had dinner included and it was proper high quality food given to us. Bartender was really great and they had an amazing selection of alcohol. I just wish I could have stayed longer. I will be back!
We went in the dead of winter and we were not prepared for the cold. They gave us a portable heater but due to the nature of the domes, there will still be a slight draft. Its not a big deal. They have loads of blankets and we were super warm under the sheets.

Staying at Vertical Sky Suites was an amazing experience! We stayed in a dome and the views were absolutely gorgeous. While there isn't a heater, the blankets were enough to stay warm while sleeping. We had dinner and breakfast there and the food was very good. While there, we also did the activities they have on the property (climbing and zip line), which made the stay even more adventurous. All of this was great, but the best thing about Vertical Sky were the truly wonderful people working there. José was so kind to arrange taxis for us and helped us plan our day. Our train was late getting in, but he stayed in contact with me and was flexible. Juan Carlo was our guide while climbing and he made sure we were doing ok and he took pictures for us since our hands were too busy hanging on to the ropes. Every other person we met was extremely kind and helpful. Staying here was a highlight of our trip and worth every penny.
Only staying one night. We should have extended it by another day!

the staff are friendly and the views are really good
the shower was poor, plus the water is not hot enough. For the price they can do better
the dinner was served without asking for preference or offering choices e.g any allergies

Location location location. Best views of all of Peru anytime of the day! Service is beyond what you can imagine! Jose, Luis, Juan Carlos, and chef Samuel love what they do. You can see they pour their heart in their work. The activities are amazing! I never thought the hanging bridge was that long, the zipline is longer than expected. Expect to have adrenaline pumping activities! Oh did I tell you food is non-stop with their five course dinner and breakfast! Best food in Cusco-Ollantaytambo!

Food
Worst value for money I have ever stayed at. THIS IS NOT LUXURY!
To add insult to injury, there were so many additional “hidden” costs that you would not even expect in a five star hotel in Europe!
4.5
Vertical Sky is not just a hotel but an experience, so don't look at the price and think it's expensive and look elsewhere but consider all it has to offer. We were the only ones there but treated like VIPs from the moment we arrived. We enjoyed a delightful pisco sour welcome drink, had a fantastic lunch (not included and prices in USD and around $25-30 for a main) and were escorted to our capsule to soak in the views (after the ever so slightly terrifying harnessed descent down a 25ft ladder). The capsule itself had a 2 person jacuzzi bath and a double bed with a ton of blankets which were snuggly! We also were treated to a fantastic 5 course dinner (included in the price) and a cocktail making class and had a wonderful breakfast the following morning (both also included). We also did the adventure activities the following morning - the via ferrata, crossed the scary bridge which wouldn't look out of place in Squid Game but sadly ran out of time for the zipline and the tree planting. All in all, it was expensive but as an experience was unbeatable - hanging off the side of a mountain while a thunder/lightning storm is raging around you is pretty unforgettable!
Due to safety rules the staff have to escort you to and from your capsule each time, which is a bit frustrating as you feel a little bit like a prisoner as you can't freely come and go as you please. In the morning on the second day we were told breakfast was at 9am but our 'guide' didn't turn up until 9.40am as they had a problem. Ordinarily that wouldn't matter but we had a taxi booked from Ollantaytambo town and because we were late to breakfast and late to start the adventure activities we couldn't do them all (missed out on the zip line and tree planting) which was a shame. It was also pretty scary at night having to descend into our capsule as they have no lighting on the ladder or illumination of the path, so if you have a headtorch, take that - would have been useful to have been told to bring one when we booked. We thought that the prices of things in the minibar were way overpriced, but name me a hotel minibar that isn't?! Also, we had a rainstorm for a lot of the night which led to water leaking through the entrance to our capsule. I had to get up in the night and put towels down to soak up the water, so they need to consider a better way to seal the capsules. It's also pretty scary opening the windows so maybe a more convenient way to open them would be a good upgrade.

Amazing!!! Can’t rave about it enough! We stayed in the dome one night after returning from machu PIchu. Capsules looked amazing too. Clean, safe, stunning facilities and views! Such a unique experience to rappel the via ferrata the next day. The food and cocktails were excellent. Joe, our guide, was the best!!
Nothing. All was smooth.

This stay is not your average hotel - you need to walk to the restaurant and lodging areas from reception, and as the name suggests it has great views because it is located high above the valley floor. The staff were warm and accommodating, and worked very hard to make sure our stay was truest memorable. Exceeded expectations.

Since the arrival to the reception you can tell is going to be great. Susan was delightful and walked us up the side of the mountain to the restaurant where the unique dome buildings continued. There we got our first glimpse of the glass covered rooms where we would be sleeping on the side of the hill. After a delicious dinner, Susan took us up to the rooms, where we were strapped in and climbed down onto the ledge (amazing photo spot) where we could access the rooms. The rooms are quite a delight to be in, with a hot water jacuzzi.
Waking up with the view of the Valley through the glass capsules was a unique and amazing experience! We had a great breakfast and after that we went rock climbing, a lader between the mountain and end up with zipline.
We loved every single one of the experiences. Vertical Sky is an entire experience I am recomending everyone I know

This is a once in a lifetime experience, and you must treat it as an experience, and not a hotel. We call it five star glamping since you deal with some of the challenges of camping but with some of the advantages of having a covered room with utilities. They only opened a short while ago, and are still growing, but the staff is above extraordinary and made us feel like we were part of their family. We had an amazing dinner the night that we arrived, equal to a $100 meal in the United States.
But the location, 11,000 ft above sea level, is one that you will rarely experience if ever. I do not recall when I have seen so many stars at night, sleeping under the geodesic dome, and watching the sun set and rise over the valley with the clouds up on the peaks was breathtaking and a spiritual experience. I was literally brought to tears by the energy of the mountain which they are attempting to share with those of us who come to visit.
The only complaint was the wi-fi, which is very iffy in Peru, and they are still working out some bugs but they were very manageable.
