Disappointed

The location was good. Sheryl was also very responsive.

Upon arrival, they informed me that they gave my room to someone else and I was apparently 'upgraded' to a better room. Unfortunately it looked like they were in the middle of repairing the bathroom door knob and did not finish. They said they'll be back to fix it but because I was staying there for a few days and didn't want them coming in and out, I just asked them to repair it when I leave. They then tell me to make sure I keep all the screws 🤷🏻‍♀️ The security chain on the door was also broken and the sliding door going out to the veranda did not have a lock which made me feel unsafe being a solo female traveler. There were 2 air-conditioning units and both started dripping when they were turned on--Sheryl told me to keep it at 24C so it wouldn't drip or leak. I am ok with that temperature but glad that I wasn't travelling with my partner who enjoys a cooler temperature especially at night. I feel for them because apparently Darwin has a shortage of people who can do repairs. However that doesn't change the fact that I was quite disappointed with my stay. Also important to note that this felt more like an Airbnb, which I didn't know prior to booking. We could not approach reception with any concerns and felt like we were intruding in the Mantra building.

Room was very comfortable & clean. Good view.

Check in time was delayed by 45 mins due to the room still being cleaned. Room we booked had a leaking aircon so changed to another room. No normal black tea.

Not enough light above the sink in the bathroom. Too dark. Would be great to also have a mirror in the room as more light there.

Convenient and c omfortable.

Very comfortable apartment, but would habe loved a balcony.

A reminder about how to find the key to the apartment. Access is through the Mantra Pandanus, and then to an area where there a lot of lock boxes. The info on codes and access was in a.previous email - it would have been good to have a.reminder about this.

Ataff did get back to us when ww called and accommodated a late check out for us.

No face to face contact. Reception couldn’t help us as we weren’t staying in their hotel.

Best stay ever.

The apartment was very clean, refreshing after staying in hotel rooms that are not. the bed is comfortables and Sheryl is a nice person who allowed check in early and out late. The apartment has everything you need with lovely views of the harbour, well set up for temperature control with air conditioners and fans and is in a handy in town position. Wish we could have stayed longer

Affordable room with good facilities let down by lack of cleanliness

Wonderful location, good view, quiet room with very good facilities

There were regular uninvited guests in the form of small cockroaches coming from around the kitchen benches. I cleaned but they kept coming back. It was very off-putting. Also I would have liked more control of the airconditioning. I was unable to get the room below the preset temperature. I come from the south and found that I was very hot at night. I needed to be able to take the temperature down to at least 18 degrees but this was impossible.

In a perfect location

Really bad communication

View not to bad

Communication with the owner. We did not know it was an Airbnb until we arrived in the hotel. Nothing was written on Booking about that. None mail has been sent to me I had to call the number to have the information to get to the room. When I called the owner, she asked me to pay $200 of deposit with a strange mail looking like a scam without viewing the room. She got angry when I told her that I wanted to see the room before paying anything more. She finally gave me the access to the room and I payed the deposit after. We really did not appreciate this communication at all. No parking and no swimming pool.

Nice views over the city, a bit of sea view. Plenty of cafes nearby. Very spacious room and bathroom with tea/coffee making facilities and a microwave and safe

No free wifi and there was no hot water if you took a shower in the later part of the evening. (Luckily Darwin is a hot place).

It was good value for money, close to city & communication is good.

It is close to most things in Darwin CIty, within walking distance. It has a balcony that gives good views to sunset over the harbour. The property management is very responsive.

The facilities are a bit old, especially the bathroom, though it has been renovated. The curtains are very dusty. Don’t know if the bed sheets are changed as they were crinkled!

Great location but many promised facilities listed, are actually absent or non-existent

Great location, right in the center of Darwin. The A/C and the wi-fi worked fine, my room was located on the 14th floor of a building with a different name, many other businesses and hotels also operate on the same building. I enjoyed my stay with the exception (read below) of the 'facilities' or 'amenities' that were listed when I reserved the room and which were not present.

I reserved a King size room with a 'Sea View'. Even though they allowed me to check-in early (12pm instead of 3pm) I had asked them (before my arrival) to give me the kind of room that I had reserved. Instead, I got a room with no walk-in closet, no patio, no dining table, no drying rack for clothing, no hand-sanitizer and the 'balcony' was a narrow area (30 centimeters or so wide) with an air conditioning unit taking all the space. I could hear the people staying upstairs playing music and dropping things until midnight and again starting before 6am, so there was no 'soundproofing'.. .The view was that of the roofs of other buildings (the 'Ocean View' was a view of the sea a kilometer away) and the huge TV only shows local channels, do not expect to see any movies from a subscribed service. And btw, the pool is still listed as a facility (under the facilities section) even though they know it has been closed for a while..

Nothing. The balcony was a good size but it was dirty

It was smelly In the room and the lobby. Like really bad.... nothing was open.didnt even supply a warm blanket/doona..... Pool was closed.spa closed. Gym closed. Restaurant closed. Fire alarm kept going off for no reason. TV reception was terrible. Had to get uber eats and that was cold and disgusting. Won't be staying at mantra again!!!!

Lovely inner city apartment

We got the room at a discounted rate. Great location, within walking distance to everything in the city. Great view from the 17th floor. Easy check in and check out process. The staff at Pandanas do not offer assistance to guests that stay in private suites, but owner of apartment was very helpful.

Room didnt have a balcony, I thought the room had a balcony from the photos. Noisy toilet.

The room we had didn’t smell of mould, which was an improvement as we had been in the mantra hotel, which shares the same building and the room that we had previously small of mould

To get access to the room is confusing and complicated. We get inundated with emails, but nothing actually explains what you have to do on arrival and the fact that it is inside and as a hotel we were eventually able to get hold of the host. He was helpful Isa, expecting parking when we arrived to be free, but ended up having to pay for it. The bedspread in the room had a brown stain on and the view was okay

Nice, clean modern studio apartment, close enough to everything you need in the city

It's an Airbnb, NOT a hotel. Too many hoops to jump through with multiple key cards, numbers, lockers etc. Staff at the multi desk unhelpful because they're not working for you, they're working for a hotel which also operates in the same building.

Good location in the City, Shame about the Customer Service !

Great location and central to all the tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. Clean enough room and comfortable large bed.

This was a privately owed property within the Mantras Hotel and there was no meet and greet for guests on arrival. The process of getting the keys through the resident’s mail boxes and PIN numbers by text messages were not clear and when finally accessed there was 2 envelopes with customers names on them . . . neither one was ours ! The room had a strong damp smell from the carpet which wasn’t welcoming on our arrival. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were closed and under construction, and will be for quite some time by the looks of it. Shame we were only notified about this a few days before our arrival ! Then we were texted daily by Sheryl asking to meet up in the building to pay $125.00 cash deposit while we were sightseeing in the Northern Territory ! Definitely won’t be recommending this place to anyone in a hurry. 🫤

amazing place to stay

We made our reservation at the last minute due to a road accident that changed our travel plans. I contacted 'Dan' the property manager who organised housekeeping to open both rooms for us. Dan was so helpful as we didn't reach the property until so late . We were all exhausted after travelling all day. We arrived to what can only be described as 'the penthouse' - views absolutely amazing - we had a very welcomed packet of chocolate biscuits in the fridge waiting for us - it felt like we were being welcomed into someone's house and changed our whole day into a positive. The rooms are huge - two bathrooms too - my kids felt like kings !! Wish we were lucky enough to have seen a storm from the balcony as that view is spectacular !!

Very pleasant few days, a great base

So Close to the CBD. Management was wonderful helping us out at 3am

Just that the pool was not ready but another pool had been Made Available to us just a hundred metres or so away. The pool will be amazing when it’s finished!

Pure luxury ❤️

Stayed here for my 30th birthday and also celebrated our engagement here. I can’t say enough good things about Sheryl, the property manager, who was just so helpful and went above and beyond constantly. Our tumble dryer didn’t work, so we were given a clothes horse temporarily and went out for the day, and by the time we came back a new tumble dryer had been installed. Sheryl also really helped us out with storing our belongings in the building for us while we went to Kakadu for a few days. The suite itself was absolutely stunning, complete luxury and I’m so glad we stayed there.

My only gripe was the pool being closed, although in fairness we were offered the pool in an alternative building within close proximity belonging to the same owner.

The place is spacious and clean. The higher floor has a sea view. It is close to the local restaurants and shops.

The dryer wasn't working. There is no on-site staff. Everything has to be communicated from the bookings message.
