Geweldig uitzicht! Heerlijk terras, molen mooi ingericht.

Location was fantastic! The unit itself was very unique. It was a fun experience!
The owner was not involved in non-accommodating. I told him in advance that we would arrive at seven in the morning and he said we could check in at eight and then it wasn’t available till 11 and then one and then not until 6 o’clock so after being up for nine hours and basically losing a day and not being able to even store our luggage anywhere, we got into the room and figured things out on our own. I’m sure people have arrived early and have checked out at 11 o’clock in the past, but he had no suggestions as to where we could store our luggage. There was a fantastic restaurant the hill from his accommodation, we stopped to kill some time and they stored our luggage for us. They were very nice people in the island are very nice and accommodating.

The location is amazing, in the old town, close to all restaurants, bars and shops. Also in a quiet area. The view was amazing, the beds extremely comfortable.
Consider that being high, it gets windy.
Having some cold beer, wine and water in the fridge was an excellent surprise.
It is simply amazing!!
The terrace has 2 chairs and inside the kitchen there is only one chair, which would mean that they aren't enough for 4 persons. We were 3, but had to move them to sit all comfy.
That's all.

A private sundeck in Middle of Old Town, perfect location for city vacation (relatively close to beach also). A unique experience all around. Especially good for (younger) couples...
VERY low water pressure and the entrance area requires some maintenance (quite a bit of weeds etc.)

The medieval windmill was one of the best accommodations we have stayed in on holiday! It is very private, being detached, with a terrace wrapped around which is high up off the road - perfect for sunbathing with a chilled glass of local wine. I loved the gated access which made us feel very safe at night. The windmill is on three floors and the top floor can be used as a bedroom but we used it as a sitting room due to the fantastic views from all of the little windows! One of my favourite things was to sit and watch the cruise ships in the harbour and the comings and goings of the medieval town. We had a a couple of windy/cloudy days so took the opportunity to enjoy this bright and cosy space under the windmill roof. The accommodation is surprisingly spacious, great beds and bedding - extra pillows and fluffy blankets should you need them. The renovation has been done sympathetically so you can see certain period features without losing modern comforts. I particularly loved the beamed ceilings and the original stone carving above the entrance door. There is so much to do and see within about 5 minutes walk (or even closer!). We loved nearby Christinas Rooms which you can even see a bit of from the top floor. We would recommend it for its beautiful walled garden, cocktails and food. Self catering here is easy as there are numerous good food/wine/beer shops within easy walking distance. I would heartily recommend the accommodation for a special and unique holiday experience and the only downside was that we could not stay longer.
The water pressure was a little low in the shower but George (super responsive to any queries) is aware and plans to sort this out when he can. It’s a medieval windmill so I am sure things are not always as straightforward as they might be in other accommodation. This did not have any effect on our enjoyment however.

A fantastic stay! it was just incredible, at the first sight of the windmill you can’t help but be blown away and think to yourself… we are actually staying
there!
It has amazing view all the way around, outside on the 360 terrace, there are two comfy quality sun beds a small table and chairs for breakfast
or evening drinks, you won’t need to find roof top restaurants or cocktail bars in the main square you have your very own!
inside, the first room is a small kitchen, off the terrace but with everything you need and a shower room/toilet all nicely finished, the stairs are steep
to the next floor which is the bedroom, at a guess (because I forgot to count) 12 wide wooden steps but will not work for anyone with mobility
problems, also bear in mind, if you need to come down to the loo in the night, however you are staying in a windmill and should expect this.
From the bedroom, which has a lovely comfy bed, hanging space, tv and a well needed fan is another set of stairs about the same as before going
to the top of the windmill, which is the piste de resistance (in my opinion) all the little windows, lovingly restored and the inside of the incredible roof,
amazing and peaceful. The whole place is immaculately clean and well maintained. The work and money it must have cost to have restored this
amazing building is a credit to the owners and a bonus to those like us who got to stay in it.
