Really excellent location. Steps away from the most central part of town so walkability was the nicest part. Onsite yoga is also greatly appreciated, and the breakfast bowls are amaaaazing!
The one big downside (during the rainy season) is not having a covered communal space. The bar is covered but way too small for a group hang. Any time it started raining I was forced to retreat to my room and this is something that would make the hotel experience so much richer.

The staff and bar tender and yoga was amazing! I could have done without the ginormous cock roaches that climbed under my door at night, but that’s not their fault that construction was literally everywhere within inches in Playa Guiones. I felt bad for them. It’s pushing the bugs from all around in. Staff was very accommodating ! Even gave me a discount, when I said it was not necessary.
The fountain is a bit too loud by pool and enormous cockroaches that crawled under my door last night. Big as mice! But harmless.

Breakfast was delicious, my acai bowl was not only yummy but beautiful. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I loved how quiet and peaceful it was in the middle of bustling Guiones.
I would have liked a more spacious bathroom, some body lotion and a coffee maker (there was only tea in the room. There was a tiny dead baby lizard in my fridge too that was a bit upsetting... I also didn't like losing water one day, but that wasn't the hotel's fault.

Loved the property, lovely gardens and the yoga studio with a variety of yoga sessions throughout the day. A Shame you have to pay $20 per session when you are staying there though. The bar on site is great, the bar tenders were very friendly and able to give good advice. Pool was nice to refresh!
The rooms, although a lovely design and bed was very comfy, it was quite small, bathroom was quite tight for the two of us to get around each other. The bin they have to put the toilet paper is not ideal.. makes lots of noise and it’s just tricky having to lift up the lid. Consider a bin with a foot pedal. Sometimes the shower didn’t work very well, meaning barely any water came out. That was in the middle of the day though…?

We really enjoyed our stay in Norte. The staff, especially the bar staff we super friendly and so helpful. We loved the acai bowls for breakfast and the cocktails at night. The location was excellent, close to beach and lots of nice restaurants. The room was small but had everything we needed. The pool area was relaxing and clean. We would recommend Norte and would come back again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Norte Nosara and I must say that it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived to the day I left, every aspect of my stay was meticulously attended to, making it a
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the most hospitable and friendly staff. Their warm smiles and willingness to help immediately made me feel at home. Throughout my stay they consistently went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, and their attentive service was the highlight of the entire stay.

Beautiful place, very close to Guiones Beach, 5 minutes walking.
The room was comfortable and quiet, and there was a good internet connection.
The breakfast was really good, and you have an option to take typical breakfast in the place next to it(naked foods).
The bar served pretty good cocktails too.

I recently had then pleasure of staying at Norte during my visit to Nosara, from the moment I arrived I was blown away with the impeccable services, beautiful amenities and overall attention to the details, this hotel exceeded all my expectations in every way
The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making me feel like a valued guest from the very beginning, they were always available to assist with any requests or questions and their genuine warmth and professionalism added a personal touch to my stay

This place is simply AMAZING in its understated simplicity and peacefulness!! It's EVERYTHING the US is not. Ari and Virginia were suberb hosts and it's my new go to in Nosara!! Best bed in Costa Rica me thinks too :)

Squeaky beds

The location is perfect, next to cute stops and really steps away from the beach
I loved that the cleaning lady turned the air diffuser on every day, such a nice welcome to a clean room
The staff was helpful, nice and friendly
Typical breakfast from the place next door was really tasty
It was very convenient that we could rent surfboards from the reception
The shower drain was clogged and took forever to drain + there was a really bad sewage-like smell every time we turned it on
The pool didn't seem clean enough to swim in so we didnt use it
It's not a hotel, felt overpriced for a bed&breakfast

I enjoyed the complementary breakfast e.g. the Acai/Dragon ball from Mena at the bar of the hotel.
I loved the location of the hotel in Nosara.
I loved the thoughtfulness and kindness of Virginia at the reception of the hotel.
I didn’t like the beds nor the poor construction of my room as insects were able to enter through the door.
I hated not to have a coffee machine in my room and that I had to wait 8 am to get an espresso that wasn’t free! Coffee needs to be free when you pay over $200/night in Costa Rica which is a major coffee distributor.
I didn’t like the attitude of Ari the Spanish guy working at Norte who treated me with a lack of respect. He was nice until he was not, he lost it and never apologized for his words. Not a professional behavior at all. Just be aware of that.

We absolutely loved our stay at Norte! An ideal location with activities going on every day. the breakfast bowls were amazing and so were the fresh cocktails at night. Hotel staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Very relaxing vibe and made our trip a vacation we’ll never forget! Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Nosara.

central to everything
a lot of construction- noisy

Location and vibe
They have a loud dance class at night. They should offer the guests a discount on the class or other yoga classes because the sound is inescapable from the rooms.

Great place I will definitely be back
no coffee in the rooms

location to the beach
our room Hideaway was damp. had dehumidifier and room fragrance to hide it. no hairdryer, no place to hang clothes, had to carry the safe key to the beach with you. all the bean bag chairs around pool where mouldy. pool was not inviting with lots of dead insets and old leaves not cleared out. the roads in nosara are just pure mud. for the money and a special 50th birthday it was so disappointing

Beautiful style, relaxed vibes and very clean rooms. The hotel and bar staff are incredibly friendly and laid back. We rented surfboards directly from the property, great value for money

Adorable place right in the mix of Nosara very close to the beach, few minutes walking. The room was beautiful. the pool area. they have yoga classes which is cool if you are into it and a nice bar. I would come back here and recommended.
During our stay, they were doing a bit of remodeling. not a bad negative we just could not walk thru certain areas. everything else was awesome!

Friendly guy behind the bar.
Unlike the pictures on Booking.com, the rooms are dark ( and very humid ). The room had a terrible smell of fungus and one could notice lots of dark spots of fungi on the bamboo ceiling.
Breakfast was poor, with poor service.
The pool is nice, but lots of noise from construction works on the other side of the street.
Upon check-out, we were indicated a price which was 35 USD higher then the price we booked. we had to show our confirmation ( at 216 USD ).
Poor place, poorly managed.

Great place to stay nice and close to the surf. Shoulder season was wonderfully lush and felt like we had the place to ourselves. The Açai bowls were incredible
There were many building noises about for many places were doing off season renos

No breakfast. It was near enough to restaurants but the place outside needed looking after - holes in the road. No nice alcoves with palm trees on the beach., just secondary growth along the sand of various weeds.
The ad in booking.com showed a different environment than what we experienced. It seemed very close to the beach and looked as if there was more land within the property. It turned out to be rather austere and the only convenient place to sit was outside the room. We would have liked a place to set out our food in the room and cups and tea bags;

Nice staff, good vibe in the place. They have the best location in Guiones 5 minutes from the beach.

The perfect jungle/beach escape we could have asked for! Norte was the perfect backdrop for some time away for my wife and I. Located in the center of town and only a 2 minute walk to the beach, this place is incredibly stylish, meticulously clean and had the best service I've experienced in a boutique hotel. Everything about Norte was perfect- from the incredible class offerings on the yoga deck to the delicious artisanal cocktails, mocktails and juices served by Ari at the jungle bar. We loved the place so much we booked another trip, so we could return with our friends. We are anxiously counting down the days until our next jungle adventure!
