A Haven for Those Seeking Serenity The Swissotel Resort in Almaty is one of the natural retreats that offers all the comforts and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located amidst a dense forest of cypress trees and lush green landscapes, the resort is traversed by a small river that flows into an artificial lake within the resort. On the shores of this lake sits one of the hotel’s restaurants, providing a picturesque view of enjoyment and relaxation. The resort features a main restaurant that serves breakfast in a buffet style, offering a wide range of options to suit all tastes. It can be considered the best breakfast experience among most hotels and resorts in Kazakhstan where I have stayed. The main restaurant also occasionally offers lunch and dinner à la carte. However, at times, the restaurant closes and guests are asked to dine at one of the hotel’s other restaurants: one serving Kazakh cuisine, and the other by the lake offering international dishes, both operating on an à la carte basis. Additionally, there is a fourth restaurant with outdoor seating in the pool area, resembling more of a café, providing light meals and some beverages. The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly and professional, speaking fluent English and always striving to assist guests and ensure their comfort. A special thank you to all the staff at this wonderful resort. A heartfelt thanks to the hotel manager, who worked to resolve an issue we encountered at one of the restaurants, she offered us a special discount, and sent us a room service treat. This truly made us happy, so we are very grateful to her.

Although the resort is a paradise for those seeking tranquility and for those who enjoy walking amidst nature, in my opinion, it is not suitable for families with children. This is because there are not many activities or events specifically for kids, apart from some simple sports activities such as biking, scootering, or accompanying the family on walks. Even the kids' club does not have many activities, which might leave children feeling bored. Therefore, I would not recommend this resort for families with children but rather for adults seeking peace, serenity, and the beauty of nature. Additionally, it would be preferable if the resort's main restaurant offered an all-inclusive dining option. This is because guests cannot easily leave the resort to dine in city restaurants, as the resort is somewhat far from the city and there are limited services nearby.

اتساع المكان ونظافته وتنوع الانشطه فيه ووجود الشطاف في الحمام والشرفات المطله على الجبل والافطار المتنوع وتنوع المطاعم في الفندق ووجود نادي للاطفال وسهولة التنقل بسيارة الجولف

Too expensive! service does not match the price

Location is good. Pool nice. Breakfast good!

Mini bar was empty, like it was in Soviet Union!)) It was declared that hotel is no smoking zone, but restaurant offers you even hookah! I was trying to call to the lobby several times, but nobody pick up the phone. It’s seems that the spirit of the Soviet Union’s service stile is still alive!))

Отель находится в очень удобном и красивом месте.

Цена сильно завышена с моей точки зрения. Локация красивая, но это почти за городом. Добираться оттуда до города займет время.

Хорошее место для отдыха. Хотим вернуться

Большие пространства отеля. Это позволяет "дышать". Остались дополнительно на еще один день. Хороший завтрак. Спа-комплекс большой и приятный. Ходили пять раз. В номере все есть, включая современный телевизор, холодильник, фен, есть балкон с видом на горы. В номере чисто. Персонал достаточно хороший, но суховатый.

Когда выходили с завтрака, попросили курт. Но сотрудница не смогла его дать, сказала, что все убрали и его на нашла. Это совсем не гибко. Маленький кусочек курта. Не разрешили играть на рояле по запрету главного менеджера, как нам передали сотрудники. А мы умеем играть. В этом отношении нужно гибче продумывать систему запретов, если этот отель создан для клиентов.

Nice location in the countryside. Very clean and top quality facilities. Great for conferences.

Although it’s a nice location it’s a bit far from the centre.

It is a shame that such location and name Swissôtel has such poor management and service.

Location only

If you stay for one or two days it is ok. If you stay longer, you will face total luck of management and service. The tv was broken but never replaced. You have to watch carefully not to be overcharged, they will try to do it. If you book it on the hotel’s web site, you’ll get bigger price at the registration and most likely your booking will be lost. If there are any issues with your stay and you need assistance, do not expect any help, nobody cares really. If not for the location I would’ve moved out on the third day for sure. Very disappointed.

منتجع جميل وكل شي فيه مرتب من اكل ومطاعم والحديقه الخارجيه والفيو والمناظر ماتتحسف ابد عليه والموظفين خدومين جداً واشكر الجميع كانت احلا ايامي اخذتها هاني مون 🤍 ورتبو لي الغرفه من ورود وبالون وتواصلو معي على الواتساب قبلها وكل شي كان راقي

القهوه ماعجبتني / لازم يكون معك كريم او بخاخ يبعد البعوض اذا انت تتحسس منها / المكان بعيد عن كل شي بس متوفر كل شي في المنتجع / نتفلكس يوتيوب غير متوفر

A short stay with family in the lap of nature & Luxury

Nestled in bountiful nature in the shadow of the Mountain ranges, it is truly a resort to spend time in Almaty. I was in two minds between Ritz carlton and Swissotel; and while the former is in the centre of the city; this is truly a luxurious property.

The in room dining options could have been more comprehensive. Pizza ; with no chicken options seemed odd; especially since it was being offered in a burger and a sandwich. also, the hotel could have MAP options made available.

It was a great stay, everything was excellent, the room was cozy and the balcony was great with a lovely view of the mountain and breakfast was unbelievable. The staff was great. I will visit again.

Only spa is recommended to come separatly without hotel

The stuff is trying to be helpful but seems like there is a lack of resources,management should hire additional stuff during the hot season. I tried the relax massage from Bali Master-it was amazing!

The room ceiling was dirty during all days and my request to clean it was ignored. The A/C was broken and was fixed only at night:( Spa is good but not on weekend. There are no rules to use sauna,people come in shoes and without towels to seat-so sad… So many wasps in the open swimming pool area! The restaurant is over-expensive and the stuff is not friendly there.I ordered the food in my room and it was ok and not so expensive: breakfast is nearly 6k and dinner -8k. The bar’s food is bad,the menu is super-strange.

Lovely building and grounds, but needs more front desk staff and AC should be fixed our roo

Beautiful grounds and building, massive historic Soviet era sanatorium, and lovely calm park surrounding the property. Nice pool and interior decor, comfy bed, clean washroom with good shower.

Air conditioner was broken for our room, front desk was always understaffed with long lineups for check in, weekday breakfast ended at 10:30 instead of 11 as we were told

Staff in all positions was really bad, unwilling to asist, extremely slow and not friendly. Some of them were giving false info. The hotel has no indicative signs, so people walk to wrong direcrions and the hotel is huge.

Weekend Getaway

Breakfast selection was good, and bed was very comfortable. Couples massage was excellent, and staff were attentive.

Buffet food tepid, with one day having no dinner choice, only buffet or bar food because of an event.
