Authentic bamboo structure and the garden was amazing to walk around in.
- Bit of confusion over if the property had pool access, after seeing one in the pictures, which the garden villa does not so be warned.
- No views of the mountain from this property type either or any views really due to the greenery of the garden surrounding the property and the direction it's facing Both of the above features are only accessible if you book the private villa. There are no common areas.
-The food choice was very simple, and not too varied. Personally, I can't start off the day with fried noodles and rice and eggs and cake. There didn't seem to be any other healthier options, and due to the remote location (we don't ride mopeds) there was nowhere else suitable to eat at. So my body by the second day was feeling sluggish. The 2nd evening that we ordered dinner, two hours went by with no response and we were thinking about how to get some food, but the big fat rat in the ceiling above the bed helped us decide it was time to leave early.
We don't mind gekos and moths and even cockroaches, we are basically in a treehouse after all, but there was just something that was too unnerving about a giant rat visibly running around above our heads as we slept!
We left that evening to go to a nearby hotel and had to pay 450k for the driver to collect us.

There was nothing in this villa to be liked by anyone including the arrogant host and her husband
A one star is underrated for this stay.
The rooms are very dirty, with stains and bugs on the floor. The bathroom was unbearably filthy with broken taps. We have booked for a two bedroom Villa, where one of the bedroom was far from the main bedroom with another entrance on a different floor and had no bathroom attached or anywhere closer, we have complained immediately about the situation to the manager, Ari (she mentioned her name so). Her response to situation was terrible as she asked us to adjust for the night with a broken tap and a filthy room. The next morning we went again to discuss the matter to Ari, she came along with her husband and started rudely talking to us and shouted at us saying, this is what is available and if you don’t want it leave the premises. We have never experienced such a rude behavior from anywhere else, so beware !!! Beware !!! before booking this place.

Property, facilities and host
Only bathrooms in ground floor is not so comfortable for the family or people staying in first floor.

Location , it's in amidst rice fields, there is stream passing by nearby rooms.
Staff was very polite and attentive
Very poor room cleanliness, curtains above bed had spots , the chair had spots and it was broken too.
The access to the bathroom is not direct , every time you would have to come down from bedroom to reach bathroom

The ambience, its a very nice bamboo cottage with a small river next to it, I love the sound of the water flowing.
The open bathroom and kitchen make me feel I live in the middle of the nature. The sunrise shines right to the bed was a beautiful addition.
Maybe robe inside the bedroom

The cabin was hidden, deep in the garden which was very nice. We also appreciated that the manager and the staff were always available and replied to our questions and requests throughout our whole stay. We got welcome drinks and the cooked food was brought to us.
Unfortunately we weren't lucky with our villa.
The villa is actually a small wooden cabin which was quite damp because of the rain and the small river which passes right by the house. The shower and toilet were outside the house which would have been okay but the roof didn't cover the whole bathroom area and had some holes so the toilet, the toilet paper, the cups, the tea filters etc. kept getting soacking wet in the rain. Beside that, the shower area was totally visible from the other villas (one of them also had some kind of a telescope as we saw :o) or from the top of the building where some workers were building the roof.
There were not many possibilities for storage as in the house there was a double bed, bookshelves and a table so we stored our things in our luggages.
As the bed sheets were stained, we asked for clean ones. We also found wasp hives in the bookshelves and on the upper floor as well. First we didn't see the hives but the wasps keep coming inside to a specific spot in the shelves. We requested the manager to move us to another room but they informed us that the other available villa costed more so we should have payed another 600.000 IDR if we wanted to move. In the end a staff member came and removed the hives so we stayed in the same villa for the night.
In a nutshell, it's surely better to be accomodated there when the weather is not rainy and can be adventurous for those who like to be very close to nature but it was not for us. We stayed there for just 2 nights so it was fine but for those who stay for a longer period of time, I don't recommend the smaller villa that we were in.

Easy check in, friendly staff, private and peaceful location. The villa had a huge garden with a pond, and little river by its side. The villa was well equipped, with the bedroom upstairs, while the kitchen and outdoor shower/toilet were downstairs. I was there for one night only, and I would have stayed longer if I could. Sidemen is a short drive away.

Nothing to dislike.
