This is great place to come and relax but if you are wanting to site see, you need to have a moto. It’s 20 minutes to anything in Sidemen. The hotel is clean, and the views are spectacular. The staff are pleasant and try to be helpful. We had an upstairs room and it was comfortable to enjoy the view on the balcony. The bathroom is needing an refresh as the hot water shower is barely warm and no water pressure. The room has a standup fan and dehumidifier (didn’t function) but the area cooled off at night for nights rest. The included breakfast is basic and minimal but gets the day started. I would recommend planning to eat all meals out.
We would stay again if we lived on Bali and wanted a getaway. It was a bit annoying to have a musical instrument playing the same two songs all day and starting at 6 am.

Scenic views of rice fields and Mount Agung, lovely area to walk around with or without a guide. Very pleasant staff can arrange visits to temples and waterfalls. Excellent menu. Great for couples or families! Can’t praise it enough!

The hotel is set in a quiet location with gorgeous views of Mount Agung and you are surrounded by lush rice fields. You can order dinner from the onsite restaurant and that is a big help since the hotel is located far away from the town center. The staff is friendly but they need to be trained a little more to better explain things to guests when you check in.For example the room key works one way when you lock the door from the outside and works the other way when you lock the door from the inside. However, no one told me this and I spent MANY frustrated moments tinkering with the door lock.To be fair, the staff was super helpful and attentive once I expressed all my concerns. It was also sometimes a bit hard to actually locate a staff member. You had to amble around until you spotted someone helping another guest, or saw them in the kitchen etc.The main problem I had during my stay was that there was a gecko inside my room that kept making weird noises and pooping regularly. The staff tried to get rid of it but it promptly came back into the room through gaps in the rafters.I could not leave anything open inside the room and had to make sure everything was closed at all times so that nothing got into my luggage. That was a hassle not to mention the fact that I was petrified of cohabiting with a gecko.Staying in Selat was a convenient jumping-off point for East Bali and this place was a good choice. However the place needs some improvements that can elevate it to the next level.

It’s a thought road to get to it. Well worth the effort.
The peaceful resort has a pool, restaurant in a perfect setting with a view of the volcano and rice fields. One of the best soulful experiences in Bali.
The village people are friendly and you will be able to see the daily life of the village. The field worker, the duck walker, the ladies with baskets on their heads and the kids playing. You might even get to see a rooster fight ceremony.

The view to Mount Agung was breathtaking. Our only complaint about staff, is that we often couldn't find any, even at mealtime. All the staff we met were very polite and helpful when we did find them. We had one massage each on our last day and wished we'd had more. Loved going for a big walk around the local area. Would recommend this place for a complete relax. Would go back again.

Location and views were simply amazing. True Bali experience completely away from the crowds. There are many nice walks to take around the local area and around the rice fields.
