The staff is wonderful and the cook has prepared a wonderful Japanese breakfast. I assume that place could be great in the winter.
I did not know that the rooms are not cleaned but for three days that‘s ok. There are no rooms on a higher floor and the basement rooms do not have anything nice to look at. In front of my room were some old tires and a rusty barbecue.

The food was delicious, the staff were all so kind, and the place was kept very clean. They even cleaned snow off our car in the morning.
The walls are very thin so you can hear other guests quite a bit, but everyone was very respectful.

Room cleaniness

A little too remote

The location was idyllic. The location provides a great dinner option filled with Japanese comfort food and a small but quality breakfast options that alternated between Western and Japanese breakfasts. The highlight of our trip though was the excellent service and recommendations from JY at the front desk. This was our first time to Niseko and we really appreciated the incredible support and recommendations from property throughout our stay.
The location really requires a vehicle to be able to enjoy with flexibility. I don't think is so much a comment on the property but regarding Niseko in general. We tried calling taxi's and private vehicles but not successful during peak season in Niseko. Also note that the building where we stayed had a shared bathroom which was ok, but may not be convenient for all.

The staff were incredibly friendly and our room was quite spacious. We enjoyed our kaiseki dinner as well as the more casual one at the izakaya across the two nights. Our room was very spacious and included a kitchenette. And we very much appreciated them picking us up from Kutchan!
The location is really far from other restaurants and most of the ski slopes. The Niseko United shuttle that picks up from Annupuri is incredibly inconvenient given how many stops it makes, and how long it takes everyone to pay and disembark. It took > 1 hour to get from Annupuri to the Hirafu Welcome Center, and given the tops of the resorts weren't yet open in late December, you were basically stuck at Annupuri without a car. There are other reviews that mention how flexible the staff is with giving you rides, but that wasn't the case in our experience. There was exactly 1 shuttle pick up from Annupuri, and we couldn't ask for rides outside of that.
If you're driving, then perhaps the location isn't much of a problem. And for that, you get a lot of peace and quiet and a great view of the valley. But if you're hoping to avoid driving and still get around, I'd look for something closer to the main centers of town.
Finally, it's worth confirming whether there's a toilet in your room. Our room (101) had a bath but no toilet and we used the one across the hall (not the worst thing, but definitely surprising)

It was a great place for a family looking to enjoy Niseko!
It’s far from the ski areas but it was not an issue because we don’t ski anyways. We just wanted a quiet holiday.

Clean and spacious place. Lovely decor and very helpful and nice staff.
Some coffee or tea to make in the kitchen would be great as shops are quite far.

Small basic room considering the cost

The place is so cool. Laud back and beautiful.
The beds to hard.

Stayed during off peak so pretty much had the place to ourselves. Room is insulated and warm. A lot of wood used in the interior design.
Location of reception for check in was not clear. Need to go to restaurant to check in.

I was here in the off-season. The hotel is up in the hills and it's quiet there but you need a car to go eat. The staff was very helpful. I imagine that in winter it is a great place to be for skiing.
Most things were closed in Niseko by end May and I had to drive 20-minute to Kutchan to eat. They are driving to make Niseko more of a year-round restort but they have a long way to go to make the off-season feasible.

The hotel is in a beautiful area. I stayed there between seasons so I was the only guest. The staff was very friendly and willing to drive me to various hiking and onsen adventures. They even drove me to a supermarket to buy food and drinks, because there is nothing else close to the hotel. They picked me up and dropped me off at the train station.
It would be best to have a car. There is nothing near the hotel. There is one shared shower/bath which would be inconvenient if there were more guests at the hotel.

Great location, really good breakfast, comfy beds and the staff was lovely.
Nothing. Only thing is that there isn’t a washing machine in the room (the booking said it had) but this can be purchased for 1,200 yen for the use of hotel’s washing machine.

Exceptionally, warm and friendly staff with attention to detail! The property is in perfect condition and beautifully designed - down to the wooden walls, lights, beds, baths, and facilities that overlook the mountains. Close to great onsen. Close to nature (we saw foxes crossing the road in Spring). Requires a drive to reach the property but that helps the lodge feel more secluded and charming. Wish we stayed here longer!
The corridor to the bathroom can a bit dark at night, and it can feel a little intimidating before the light kicks on.
4.3
The food and staff.
No onsen. This would of made it perfect.

Friendly hosts. Wonderful location. Beautifully designed buildings. Great art on the walls. Fantastic breakfasts that were a mix of Japanese and western traditions.
Our room was downstairs next to a noisy pump room and did not have the mountain view described when we booked.

Super cozy, clean and well decorated with all the comforts you can expect, even in a basic room like the one I booked

The staff was unbelievably amazing. They made me feel like family. Very friendly, informative, and accommodating. The location is a little off the beaten path, Therefore quiet and peaceful. I had a car, so it was fine. There are 2 restaurants on site. One is budget friendly and the main lodge restaurant is top notch. The higher end restaurant was absolutely phenomenal food. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

Yes this one if the most amazing and wonderful, the manager ryu is very helpful and same with the staff, Maggie and Diego and other staff didn't get their names. Very nice and respectful, very clean rooms. Very quite lodge but wonderful views. Please be aware fastest way is to get to the area is a bus from the airport, train takes a bit. New chitose to otaru transfer to kutchan. Please schedule shuttle ahead of time. I made this mistake. Get there early, especially if snow is coming down. Snow is amazing for first time powder riders.
Hard to get dinner if the restaurant is closed. Just need a schedule so people can prepare.

awesome facilities, super friendly staff, beautiful view.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, there was a free ride from the JR station and to the ski resort in the morning, the food was delicious, the chef was charming and an expert at his craft, and the hotel had toys for kids to play with - snowball-makers, sleds, and things like that. Great location and comfortable beds too.

I travel frequently with work and during holidays- and I have never encountered a better service than at Keyspring Niseko.
We had issues with our rental car and ended up taking the train. They ensured that our trip was an absolute pleasure by providing a shuttle to the slopes at preferred times as well to other resorts (Rutsutsu and Mt Yoetei). Always friendly, always supportive.
it’s the staff that makes a difference for this place!!
we can’t recommend this place enough

Almost brand new, extremely clean, very friendly staff. A little bit remote from the central Niseko. But they do provide flat rate pick up service.
Not really. Just would be nicer if you have a vehicle.
4.3
It’s a beautiful property with an even better view! Comfy rooms. Great food at the izakaya!
We found almost all of the food they served us for breakfast at 7/11 so, I definitely wouldn’t recommend paying for the breakfast there since you can get the same thing significantly cheaper yourself.
