far away from everything, caters to bus tours, is quite run down

Friendly staff, tasty food, clean room, and a beautiful view.

Clean spacious room, Polite staff and Superb breakfast!
No refrigerator in the room. Thin walls.
No toiletries - just multipurpose liquid soap. Laundry (for a multiple day stay client) was not included in the price - costed 3000 the equivalent of 17 pounds. Normally that's free of charge when you pay more than €150 euros per night.

Great breakfast that was included with our stay. The food at the restaurant is excellent and the staff is super friendly! Would love to come back. Great location close to attractions. They have a tour info at the desk.
We tried to adjust the room temperature a few times and couldn't quite get it, but it was ok after a while.

this was a great B&B for the purpose we went here with, a one night stay far from Reykjavik, meaning we could leisurely drive the 6ish hours, see some of the most beautiful things I have EVER seen along the way, get a good night sleep in a cosy and very welcoming B&B, and the next day head off again to see more beauty in the area. The staff was friendly and the rooms were simple and clean.
I do not recommend getting burgers, neither the lamb nor the beef. The rest of the food was great, especially breakfast, but the burgers weren’t what we had hoped they’d be. the fries were tasty but a little cold.

The staff. We had a serious problem and they were there to help. Thanks a lot for that.
That we couldn't stay longer.

excellent staff, great breakfast and meal facilities, good proximity to the Glacier, nice spaces in lobby area for large groups to sit and chat
nothing was bad. it is a simple and humble property that charges accordingly. In fact it has free coffee stations in the lobby for guests to enjoy coffee.

Dinner in their restaurant is excellent! The breakfast, too. The view from our room was stunning. Staff is very friendly.
The decoration in the halls (puppets and stuff) is kinda creepy, but gives the place a really cool vibe.

It was very confortable, the room and the beds are huge, the breakfast very very good and diverse. The dinner was the best lamb we've ever had. The host very friendly, they helped me when I lost my wallet in the national park. Everyone was kind and smiling.

We stayed for one night and everything went perfect. Big rooms, comfy beds, clean baths & yummy breakfast.
That night was alarmed strong winds but we felt very safe inside the Hotel.
Unfortunately the storm broke one of our car’s window and the hostesses were so helpful and nice. They fixed it.

very quaint and cozy. beautiful sky views with very little light pollution. the food was great.
the wifi only works in the common areas but no big deal as the common areas are fun and comfortable to lounge in.

Hotel rooms were very spacious. Staff was very nice, even offered to microwave our food since restaurant was already closed. Great variety of options for breakfast. Location was great for Jokulsarlon.
Decor was a little old style (not a big fan of the taxidermy in the dining hall).
