About this house rental
Salvatore sits on Loring road at the top of Salcombe in a quiet residential area allowing you to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the seaside and beaches then return to a quieter area after a busy day. Tastefully decorated and with enough room for all of the family it has a estuary views and a rear terrace which is perfect for evening BBQ's.
Within walking distance of the centre of town, the property is on a peaceful, residential street with plenty of space to unwind together.
Park on the street for free or in the driveway and walk a few steps up to a small porch, where you can leave coats and shoes, and the ground floor starts with a comfortable living room with large sofas and chairs, a TV, Bluetooth speaker and DVD player. The large windows let in lots of natural light; it is a great space to relax together.
Continue through on the ground floor and there’s a modern kitchen complete with a gas hob and electric oven. A Nespresso machine (Vertuo pods) will set you up nicely for the day, and there’s a good sized dining table for up to 8 people.
There’s a washer/dryer as well as a downstairs loo and separate shower room.
On the first floor, you will find the family bathroom, which has been recently decorated. It is a good size and includes a bath with an overhead shower. This floor has three bedrooms - a twin with views over the garden, a double room with glimpses of the estuary, and a (full size) bunk room - all with plenty of storage space.
The second floor, has an additional two bedrooms - both with double beds. One looks out over the rooftops with countryside as well as estuary views towards Kingsbridge, and the other has spectacular views of the harbour towards Southpool and the beaches.
To the rear of the property is an enclosed garden with terrace with outdoor seating, a small lawned area and BBQ. There's also side access to the rear.
Recommended for: A family or a group of friends looking to spend time together in Salcombe.
Favourite feature: The house is in a great location because it’s within walking distance of the centre of town (so you don’t have to worry about parking if you go out for dinner), but the street itself is peaceful. Having a well stocked convenience store just down the road is an added bonus.
Need to know: Unfortunately the property does not allow pets.
About a holiday in Salcombe
Salcombe is a historic fishing and sailing town that has become famous as a holiday destination because of its natural beauty and its local charm. Blessed with more beaches than you can visit in a week, a jaw-dropping estuary and magnificent walks along the South West Coast Path, it’s also filled with local traditions. For example, there’s the Town Regatta, excellent sailing opportunities, its own gin and ice cream factories. You can’t leave without sampling the town’s unparalleled clotted cream fudge, visiting the magnificent bakery and restaurants such as The Crab Shed and The Winking Prawn, which have practically become a rite of passage for visitors.
