This is a beautiful lakefront property. The layout is very family friendly and the upstairs AC was appreciated on a few hotter than normal days.
The lake is amazing. We spent hours enjoying it throughout our week long stay. This is a quiet, wonderful home and a quick 10-15 min drive to downtown Belfast.
If exploring Acadia and more northern mid coast spots, it’s a great home base for summer in Maine.

Our second stay but not our last. House is lovely - they added AC which was wonderful as it was hot the days were were there. It's a beautiful house, very clean, my kids love it. We will 100% be back.

Could not have asked for a better, easier, and more beautiful stay. Property is natural and well cared for. The surrounding wildlife esp the bald eagles scoring their breakfast on the lake was just awesome. The home itself is designed for relaxing, playing or a great family meal. My kids enjoyed their room so much that bedtime was easy (and they want that exact room at home :)
The rainy day was also easy with plenty of games, ping pong and swings for chill time.
Neighborhood was quiet. We had a great week and would easily go back.

We loved our stay at this beautiful property and weekend exploring Freedom and Belfast what a gorgeous area. The house was stunning and comfortable. The screened in porch and landscaping are just magical with the eagle swooping by to feed it's babies. The signs as you enter and drive down the private road to the property are not welcoming honestly very disconcerting but that is not the owner’s fault.

Nice home with a beautiful view and lovely grounds. Communication with owner timely. But as much as I thought I had screened all of our possible vacation homes, including this one, for the presence of air conditioning given our mid-July stay, I clearly missed this one. It was a warm week and, it turns out, the house has AC only in the master bedroom. As this was a working vacation for my wife and me, we were inside most of the day, which was barely tolerable on most days, even with all the fans we could find running full bore. (Had we spent more days outside or on day trips, this would have mattered less.) The screened sun porch was a respite for me, a nice airy space off the living room, but we both could not work out there given frequent Zoom calls for both of us. We have had many summer vacations without AC in our lives, but for what we were paying for this home our expectations were different. For most months of the year, this home would be lovely. And its access to coastal towns of Belfast, Lincolnville (great lobster places on the waterfront), Camden and Rockport/Rockland is wonderful. But in the dead of summer, especially during the day time, just be aware in advance what the conditions in the house could be. Again, I want to acknowledge that I must have misread the listing, which clearly states that AC is only in the master bedroom. But I feel I need to communicate our experience so others considering this home for a mid-summer visit are aware.

This is the well-loved and well-cared for summer home of a family. As a result, it is well equipped and well-maintained. It has a spectacular lake setting. This is a lovely area of Maine with lots to explore. Hosts were exceptionally responsive and pleasant. This place looks just like the beautiful photos. I will *certainly* return. Really no complaints I can think of. One note - it has lots of beds but only 2 bathrooms. This is clearly indicated in the description but it is easy to miss given the number of beds.
The family also has a lovely little cabin nearby that it rents separately. If you need more space, add the cabin.

Pros: The lakeside location is as good as it gets. Great deck overlooking Tilden Pond, which is ideal for swimming or stand up paddle boarding. House is spacious for a good-sized family. Beds are comfortable.
Cons: There are 2 master bedrooms, one with partial window coverings and one with no coverings at all. Big oversight, can’t sleep in, light floods both rooms as early as 5:30AM. The kitchen had lots of table ware, but no blender, no teapot. A grill is provided, but it was a filthy mess, not cleaned before our arrival. A fireplace is included but doesn’t light. We were greeted with insufficient TP and towel, and had to ask for more. Point being: this is a luxury rental at top prices, and for these prices we expected better cleanliness, better supples and better value. The host kept defaulting what is ‘standard’ for VRBO hosts to provide, but for $700+, we expected abundance, not excuses.

The house is decorated beautifully and is very well equipped with everything you would need. There is no closet space in the master bedroom but there was some hanging space in the laundry room near the master. The view from most rooms are a spectacular lake views. The owner was responsive and extremely helpful when I asked for restaurant recommendations. It was not far from Belfast and many convinces. I hope to stay again.

This was an incredible property; high end furnishings. The view is amazing. The property itself is beautiful and serene. The residence is modern and upscale in every way, yet blends into the natural surroundings seamlessly.

We loved our stay at this lake house! The house is beautifully decorated with plenty of space for a family to spread out. Both kids and adults enjoyed the downstairs game room. Views of the lake from the house are amazing. We loved eating out on the screened porch. Very peaceful setting with an easy drive into Belfast for groceries/restaurants and also convenient to Camden and Rockland.

Fantastic Maine Experience
Great home and super view of the Lake. They call it a "pond" in Maine, but trust me, it is a lake.
We watched loons, ducks, geese, a golden eagle, bald head eagles, perigrine falcons, and a long list of other birds from the deck during our stay.
A beautiful home for 8 adults and an infant.

Amazing lake house
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! The kitchen is very well equipped. Everything was nicely appointed from the outdoor deck to the bedrooms. The screened in sunroom was a great place to eat and hang out. We loved the nature and wildlife- even saw a bald eagle! This is the first place I have ever stayed where it looks better in person than it does in the photos. Highly recommend. Great communication with the host as well.

Wonderful first trip to Maine.
My husband, three daughters (ages 7, 12, and 15), and I took a road trip to Maine from central Kentucky. We wanted a house with plenty of room for us and the kids to relax and explore, and it had to have water nearby. This house was perfect for us. It was very clean and had a lot of cool spaces inside for my daughters, husband, and I to hang out and relax. My two youngest daughters loved catching frogs from the pond, and there was plenty of wildlife to watch. My husband saw several bald eagles from the deck, there was a nesting loon over from the path to Tilden Pond, turkey’s eating along the driveway, and plenty of geese and song birds. We loved staying at this house, and it helped make our visit to Maine very enjoyable. The view each morning sitting by the pond or on the deck drinking coffee was picturesque. We would definitely recommend this property to others.
