Such a Lovely home! Comfy beds, room air conditioning and ceiling fans offer comfort for a great night’s 😴 All amenities are provided in the kitchen…no need to wash/dry dishes in the sink. 😊We enjoyed spending time unwinding in the enclosed sunroom off the rear of the home that overlooks a quiet yard surrounded by aromatic white pines. Located near Acadia National Park’s Schoodic Entrance, several scenic turnouts provide photographic views. Nearby are several good eating establishments and down the street is an ice cream shoppe. So, if you’re looking for a respite away from the hub bub, this cabin will not disappoint! Five Stars ⭐️

Awesome location and great accommodation

The location is in-between the entrance and exit to Acadia on Winter Harbor - the quieter, more peaceful part of Acadia. Sandy the host was so helpful with recommendations and advice. The cottage is beautiful, clean and has every little detail taken care of. Such a great little town, and near enough to everything you want and need. We did a puffin tour, saw quite a bit of wildlife, heard even more! Going back as soon as we can- for TWO weeks this time! Thank you Sandy for such amazing family memories!

This was our second stay at the Sandy and Bob’s cottage. If anything, we enjoyed it more than our first. The location is hard to beat. It’s less than 5 minutes to the entry to Schoodic, meaning that it was very easy for us to go to the park whenever we felt like it. It is even closer to the Pickled Wrinkle, a pretty good casual local restaurant, and not far from the other restaurants in Winter Harbor.
The cottage itself was well stocked and very clean. When we last visited the weather was cold and we found the cottage cozy. Thankfully this time it was significantly warmer, and we were able to fully enjoy the screened in porch in the back, spending our mornings and evenings listening to and seeing nature.
Some other random notes on the cottage: There are plenty of helpful booklets and brochures describing local attractions. The wifi worked excellently for us. A window air conditioner was in the master bedroom. Most days you might not need it, but when the temperature reaches the high 80’s (as it did one day for us) you will!
We have been to this cottage twice with very different weather conditions (cool and rainy the first time, warm to hot but dry the second) and enjoyed it each time. We will be back again!

The owners were very helpful in every way. The cottage was right off of the road with plenty of privacy. The cottage was very well equipped with everything you would possibly need while staying there. Very nice place to stay!

Sandy is a fabulous host! We were "last minute" guests after hurricane left our original vaca house further north without power. She responded quickly, helped us reserve and gave us early entry that we so appreciated! The house is clean, new and very well appointed. Enjoyed the screened in porch with relaxing wooded views of the backyard. There were books, brochures and maps for the area that came in handy! So close to Schoodic hiking trails, ferry to Bar Harbor, and Sunrise Trail. Thank you for a great stay :)

Beautiful cottage and gardens fully appointed and equipped as one’s own home in an ideal location for exploring Acadia’s Schoodic Point Peninsula and its scenic coastal fishing villages. Owners are the most attentive, accommodating and helpful.

We loved the Woodland Cottage. The cottage is clean, nicely decorated and has just about everything you need.
We spent a good amount of time on the screened porch overlooking the nicely landscaped yard and listening to the birds.Winter Harbor turned out to be exactly what we were looking for to spend some quiet time away. It's a cute little town with some nice restaurants, galleries, shops and very friendly people and only one half mile to the Schoodic entrance to Arcadia which is absolutely beautiful.Sandy, the property manager, was very pleasant and accommodating. We had a great time exploring the harbors and surrounding villages and towns. We look forward to a return trip in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bob & Sandy’s cute cottage in Winter Harbor. Before we even arrived, Sandy reached out to let us know that the cottage was ready and there was no need to wait until 4pm. I thought that was a really nice thing to do :) When we finally did arrive, the first thing we saw were the beautiful and welcoming flowerbeds. Walking into the cottage, we felt like we were on HGTV with the cottage prepared just for us. The table was nicely set and the scrabble game in the loft revealed a cute message! The four of us (and small dog) were more than comfortable staying put on those rainy days. In the better weather, the Schoodic Peninsula was a beautiful area to explore. Bob mentioned the Gallery (local spot) for craft cocktails and dinner. We really enjoyed it! Thanks so much Bob and Sandy for a fantastic week!

We loved our stay at the house!!! The house was clean, new and fresh, and well appointed. The kitchen was very well equipped. The home was so comfortable. We spent hours on the screened in porch reading books and enjoying the outdoors even though the weather was crummy. The house is quiet and private, yet also close to everything you need. The basket of maps and brochures was super helpful. Communication with Sandy was easy. The perfect Maine vacation!! We will definitely return.

Perfect size for the 4 of us, quiet location but close enough to restaurants, park etc. Very clean and well stocked. Great communication from host. Would definitely recommend!

This cottage was perfect for a quiet getaway. The back screen porch had enough sunlight in the morning to sit and enjoy a morning coffee and book in late March (albeit it required a jacket). Conveniently located to the Schoodic Peninsula, it was only a matter of a few minutes before we were walking the trails within the park. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well appointed and set up well. The home was extremely clean, checking-in was easy, there was no problem getting in and out of the driveway with a large vehicle, and the owners extremely nice to deal with.

What a beautiful property this is! The home is charming, cozy and comfortable, and well stocked with everything we could have needed! Nicely furnished and beautifully decorated, this really felt like home. We enjoyed the area as well—so many great things to do and see!
We enjoyed meeting the owner, Sandy, and chatting with her. She is super helpful, responsive, and friendly!
When we return to Maine in the future, we would be thrilled to rent this property again…if we can get it!

We very much enjoyed staying here. The cottage was very well laid out and well supplied. The weather was not great for our week so we couldn’t enjoy the screened in porch as much as we would have wanted, but I would imagine if it was just a bit warmer and less rainy we would happily have spent a lot of time there. The setting in the woods is very nice.
As it was, we were very comfortable in the indoors area. The gas fireplace was particularly useful for our week!
I did a bit of work while there, and the Wi-Fi worked well. I had no problem taking Teams calls, and we streamed football games too.
The location is excellent. Only a few minutes from the entrance to Schoodic, “downtown” Winter Harbor and our favorite local restaurant, The Pickled Wrinkle. Other towns like Correa and Gouldsboro are pretty close too. There were plenty brochures provided with details on local attractions. These were extremely helpful to us - we found hiking trails using them and actually identified a few other activities we’d do if we came back more in season.
Sandy was very helpful with communication before our visit. Very responsive and followed up later with more info on some of my questions where she didn’t immediately have a complete answer.
We had a wonderful time and hope to come back some day.

What a beautiful house to spend a week or a couple of weeks in. If you are seeking a place to spend quiet time with the beautiful rocky coast of Maine a stone’s throw away, this is where you want to be. Besides being a beautiful house, you will feel comfortable knowing it is spotlessly cleaned by the owner, beds are comfortable, and wonderful light streams in through the many windows.
The screened porch is where you want to have your morning coffee, relax and read a book, and later in the day enjoy the wine, cheese and crackers left for you upon your arrival.
Great hosts, gorgeous yet comfy house, you won’t want to leave.
Sandee and I loved our stay.

Our rental was neat as a pin and contained anything one might need to prepare meals or to simply enjoy a cup of coffee. Bed was quite comfie and the sun porch, where we enjoyed reading & watching the nuthatches & woodpeckers, was a bonus. You'll want for nothing while in this sweet house and will enjoy your close proximity to Acadia's "quiet side" just down the road. While there, check out J.M. Gerrish for b'fast & lunch. Wonderful food & lovely people.

The home is adorable and very comfortable. Spent a wonderful week hiking, cooking, and exploring with my best friend. The home had all the amenities including a washer and dryer. Both Bob and Sandy were excellent hosts with great local recommendations. We highly recommend a stay.

Loved our entire stay. Very convenient to the quiet side of Acadia and not a bad drive to Mt. Desert Island. Lots to do in the area that kept us busy for our entire stay. My youngest loved the loft area, he took this over as his room. Very clean and well stocked. Would most definitely stay here again.

Acadia Woodland Cottage was clean and cozy, had everything we needed. Appreciated all of the cozy touches - throws for chilly evenings, books and games and art on display from a local artist :)
Especially enjoyed the rocking chairs on the screened porch for morning coffee and the proximity to the quiet side of Acadia Natl Park.

This house is simply wonderful. It is beautifully decorated and with us being a family of 5 adults, we had more than enough room. The screened in porch with the comfy rockers is a family favorite as well as the hang out loft area/third bedroom. The location is perfect to be able to get to everything you want to do. The hosts couldn’t be more thoughtful by giving us wine , cheese, and crackers. They always answered our questions when we text them. They included so much extra like toiletries, paper products, laundry needs, condiments, coffee and much more. Our family will definitely be staying here again.

If I tell you how great this place is, there's a chance there won't be availability for me next time. But okay, here goes... this home is super clean, updated, comfortable, has a screened-in porch, and is conveniently located. It's 5 min to the park entrance, where you can check out Raven's Nest, Schoodic Point, and trails near Blueberry Hill parking lot. Corea Heath is another easy loop walk to try if you're looking for something less strenuous. The house is also near The Pickled Wrinkle to get a bite to eat. Be sure to say hi to my friends Jane & Kelly at the Littlefield Gallery, and take a tour at U.S. Bells. All in all, a perfect place to stay during your visit!
